Looking for club with music along the lines of Howells/Cosmic Gate/Warren/Tiesto/PvD this coming friday night. Where to go? Music more important than the club.

October 28th on the beach in Juan Dolio, 45 mins outside Santo Domingo - Dominican Republic. Gonna be one heck of a party.

at the Miami Seaquarium, the dolphin swims are done in a pool. For a more natural setting, there are several facilities in the Florida Keys like Dolphins Plus in Key Largo, Theater of the Sea in Marathon, Dolphin Research Center and Hawks Cay Resort.

ok, now I got everything working, except I need some software. What can you recommend? Does Nero have sound recorder? somebody said yes but I cannot find it even though I have the burning software installed.

Would that be the cables normally going to the amplifier or can I use 'tape out' or 'monitor out' on the mixer?

Got my stereo hooked up to my computer, now I want to record live mixes and make CDs but I'm pretty much an idiot at all this so maybe someone can help me. I got everything working and now its time to hook up mixer. Do I need to hook up the mixer directly to puter into an input hole (I think there is one next to the output hole where the stereo is hooked up on)? Or do I hook up the mixer to the receiver/amp but can that work as both input AND output? I am confused. If I just start trying, am I in danger of fuggin anything up? I probably need some kind of recording software, can anybody recommend something basic? I assume I have to record on hard drive first and then burn CD, is this correct? I have a regular sound card, it has one output one input and one microphone hole. (well I think thats what they are) Do I need to upgrade sound card, it seems the bass is almost non-existant when i play cd's through the computer but when i play through stereo it sounds normal?

Never clubbed in NYC before, want to hit one of the big clubs. Was thinking of Oakey/Collins Friday night at Crobar and/or Vaeth/Jules Saturday at Avalon. Which is recommended for a guy who does not like to wait in a line very long? At what time is it recommended to see the headliners at each venue? What can I expect in terms of lights/sounds/effects/dancers/etc general atmosphere of club? Crowd/atmosphere depends on music or not? I will probably only make one or the other - my music taste is tilting more toward Oakey/Collins but Vaeth/Jules could be interesting (an odd pairing no doubt). Can I get some recommendations maybe even other suggestions? I will be with a hot chick so also looking for sitting/chill out/talking space if possible. Any help is appreciated. Other clubs/DJ's suggestions?

I lived in Sarasota for 10 years, its pretty boring. There used to be some clubs in The Quay, not sure if thats still going on though.

For anybody travelling to the Dominican Republic, they have great parties about once per month. Last weekend, saw Nick Warren at an outdoor venue that was straight out of South Beach. One would never guess! I also saw Deep Dish, Chus and Ceballos, and Acosta, and missed Max Graham and Steven Lawler. Over the next two months, they have announced C. Lawrence, S. Collins, and S. Kleinenberg. I thought I was gonna be stuck listening to Merengue after I moved here, now I drive to Santo Domingo for great party weekends! I'm here in West Hollywood, LA, looking for a cool place to go tonight with good sound and people. Crowd should be young, music house or techno. Was gonna go to Deep last night but I missed it. What would I need to make my own mixed CD? Obviously a mixer, 2 CD players, and an amp, and a computer - but what else? Special software or can I just use Nero? Is it hard to hook up stereo to computer? Can someone point me in the right direction. Nothing fancy, just the simplest way. Thanks!
