Legal action?????? Fuck that. Is it the clubs problem because some douche pulled a knife? Take him to court for attempted manslaughter! I think it's BS that someone would try to cash out like that. Imagine you sunk all your cash into a company, and then something like this happend to you. At the very least, his insurance company would drop him like a Tyson punch. I agree, no one just gets stabbed.

I went to Ibiza (for the last 5 years) in 2002, and was going to Space to see Sasha for his bash, and guess what? NO SHOW. 2X that summer. I was beyond pissed (planned the whole trip around that night). I caught Carl Cox at Space on Thursday for his residency (with Will Grant...awesome...and DJ Vibe...unreal!!!!!! I would LOVE to see S&D spin for 4-6 hours....and then have Carl Cox come in and set it off. To bad it's all about the $$$$$. So, luckily they are spinning on 2 different nights, but if I had to choose, I would say Carl Cox because you KNOW Crobar is going to by a sweatbox. Big Time. And if they pull any @#%% with the lines getting in, coat check, etc...buzzkill.

I was in Ibiza, summer of 02, and I went to Pacha to see Oakenfold. Well, people were actually sitting on the floor, saving themselves for...Cattaneo. When Oakenfold left the booth, everyone jumped up, and this guy just tore it up. By far the best perfomance I saw that summer.

XTCGSPOT- I've been to Ibiza 5 years in a row (even spent the first week of our honeymoon there with a bunch of friends before heading to Italy), and here is my advice. I partied every other night, and spent a lot of time at the beach, in the towns, and taking in the island. Ibiza has a lot to offer, be sure to explore the old city. However, I planned the trips around the DJ's and when/where they were spinning. 1. What is your budget? I would identify that first. I agree with most of the posts, stay on the east side of the island (Playa D'en Bossa or Ibiza Town). I like Ibiza town, The Ocean Drive hotel is at the Marina, and it's a great scene. The closest you will get to an Ian Schrager hotel if that's what you like. Otherwise, there are a ton of hotels on the beach in Playa D'en Bossa, like Cancun. 2. Ibiza is a summer destination, so your limited to July-September. I always check the clubbing calendar on Ibiza-Spotlight.com and plan my trip according to what DJ's I want to see. I wouldn't choose july over august or vice-versa, it's up to you. Trust me...once you get off the plane...all is good. 3. I always rented a car, because I drove to the beach everyday (Ses Salinas, south part of the Island, home of Sa Trincha (or Sa Trinxa). This is by far the best beach, based on the music and the people. Otherwise, come out of Space...walk across the street, and have fun. 4. Food. You get what you pay for. I always brought a few boxes of Power Bars or Zone Bars, they came in handy. If you can afford it, Plaza del Sol above the castle is great, as well as all the places in Dalt Villa. 5. Remember: Dinner at 11PM, Bars at 1AM and Clubs at 3AM. Do not show up to a club at 11PM, or you will be alone. In Ibiza town, go to a bar named Dome (outside bar, very cool.) They have parades everynight promoting the clubs and you can get discount passes. Also, the staff have free passes to every event, just ask them AFTER you gave a good tip. I made a great connection, and I paid admission 1 out of every 5 times. Plus, the staff know where the private beach parties are, etc. 6. Dress - Whatever. You can where gym pants, sneakers and a tank top, or you can where a g-string with a pink wig. No one cares. Make sure you have good shoes/sneakers...... 7. I would go to the Ibiza Spotlight website, and check out all the hotels. Airfare is easy, just go online. 8. Do NOT miss: Sundays at Space 8AM Sunday to 6 AM Monday(The terrace closes at 11PM, so be sure to get there a few hours earlier), Sanchez at Pacha, and afterhours at DC-10. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, for those who have never gone to Ibiza...you can try to setup the perfect club calender, but it is hard to keep. Let me explain... I have gone for the last 4 years, and I always chose the week based on :Carl Cox, Sasha OR Digweed. However, I caught DJ's like Laurent Garnier (terrace at Space) and he ROCKED! I remember him pounding a trance tune, and then you hear "Chaka Kahn...Chaka Kahn...." Totaly cool. What a vibe. Also, I caught Will Grant and DJ Vibe open for Cox...they were amazing. Yeah, the big names draw the crowds, but Ibiza offers so many DJ's that have been around for years, but haven't reached "Oakenfold" status. They are the real draw to the Island. Here is my number 1 tip: Go to Ses Salinas beach, and walk all the way to the end, to Sa Trinxa, aka Sa Trincha. The DJ is amazing, plays great "Houseful Soul", and the party gets very intense. Did I mention it's a nude beach? And, the people...every walk of life...all smiling. Have fun!

Bottom line: I want DJ's, I go to NYC. I want to bang a hottie w/o travelling, I go to Mirage. Plain and simple. Who cares who owns it, or what celebs may go, all I care about is getting some tail. With cheese, extra cheese, or no cheese, at 4AM... I want them out of my bed.

Been to Ibiza 4 times, last summer w/ 2 friends and my wife for the first part of my Honeymoon. Caught Cox's opening night at Space, Sasha, etc. The BEST set was Hernan Cattaneo at Pacha, people actually were sitting on the floor while Oakenfold was spinning. I've stayed at Ocean Drive (excellent hotel, great location) and Na Xemana (far, but on a cliff w/ private pools, 5 stars). Any questions, let me know.
