  1. Sorry, it's all about the NFL for me. Love the optimism of preseason --- even a J-E-T-S fan can dream. Meanwhile have already secured seats for the home opener week 2 vs the Patsies. -G.G
  2. deep dish tomorrow on the decks -- i will be present. heard good things about this place.... -g.g
  3. Hit the big 30 in May. I can still pound all night long (like I used to) but the difference is the recovery time (unlike b4). I just can't afford to come to the office incoherent on a Friday anymore....had a bad experience with a PowerPoint presentation one morning after a long night out. First I had to stop and drink like a liter of water in front of everyone cause I was losing my voice. Then I started pressing the wrong buttons on the clicker and it took me like 5 minutes to get that shit straight again. Everyone could tell I had a really rough night. -G.G
  4. Oh, and he (Dolan) tried to screw my J-E-T-S out of the new stadium on the West Side.
  5. ALL the blame goes to 1 person - James Dolan! He has ruined this franchise and you can't blame Isiah (also not competent) since Dolan is pulling the strings in the backround. I would not see them if you paid me. This is really tragic. They are soft upfront (E. Curry is 6'11 and avg 4,2 rbs per game) and have small 2-guards in the backcourt. Maybe they can coerce A. Houston to come back and then they can start 5 two guards at once!! -G.G
  6. I travel alot for work and always try to see what the local action is - whether in the UK, Germany, Japan, etc. I think I have seen Pvd in about 12 different locations. Anyway, nothing comes close to Twilo in the hayday. S&D on a Friday ...turn it around after a few hours of sleep and Carl Cox bringin' it on Sat night. The energy in that place was truly unique - and it was all about the music. -G.G
  7. I spent a good portion of my more than 2 years of my life rollin' in TWILO. When they closed it down, a few of us protested outside of Deputy Major Rudy Washington's office. The picture of a bunch of drugged-out raver kids trying pathetically to stage a protest was enough for me to get over it quick. Half of our group tried to hold on longer, the other half (me included) pulled our shit together, focused on our jobs, and moved on. I saw one of my friends (former group) at a Sasha & Digweed set a few years later and believe me he did not look good.... The lesson kiddies? All good things come to an end. U can't mimic the experience no matter -where you put the club -what kind of system u put inside -or what name you call it. -G.G
  8. I would not hold my breath waiting on the Lions either, honey! -g.g
  9. Jets Superbowl WIN...... and then I can die in peace
  10. 1. MIA will still win 5 games this year 2. 10-6 might win the AFC East this year - the Jets have to win ugly until Pennington can straighten things out. 3. J. Abe was the best player on the field yesterday 4. Sorry Lola but harrington is just no good. he does not throw the ball downfield and has no accuracy to throw the short passes.
  11. some comments: 1. The Jints are looking to go 7-9 at best this year and finish below the cards. 2. Law was a nice pick-up for the Jets. They still have concerns at tackle after losing Ferguson to Dallas and are a little green at safety. 3. I was in Detroit on business a few weeks back. They are building this big structure in honor of the SB. I suggested they paint in green since the Jets will represent the AFC against the Vikes. 4. Vilma is a beast 5. Lola - I'm fully confident that Harrington will implode and Garcia will be starting in Detroit by week 4. G.G
  12. I'll do hockey - should be an interesting year...especially in the West G.G
  13. T-W-I-L-O I still have my stuff and will not sell - too many GREAT memories.
  14. How will the Rangers get anyone to play for them now that they have a salary cap and can't over-spend for washed-up stiffs???? -G.G
  15. I called AJ Burnett for Cy Young in the beginning of the year. He's the best pitcher on the staff. The Yanks should have traded for him in the offseason cause he was being shopped.... -G.G
  16. i had harrington on my fantasy team so i watched the lions some. one game last year, they were inside the five yard line and harrington ran a boot-leg. he could have walked into the end-zone cause there were no defenders around but instead he choose to throw to a te who was equally wide-open. what happened next is hard to believe but he threw the ball so high over the receiver's head that it landed in the 2nd row of seats! i think det eventually scored on a run play but that cost my team points!!! -g.g
  17. If Coles is ok (chronic turf toe), then the deal was a good one. The Jets brass hates Rosenhaus so they would not be able to sign Moss, anyway. Lola, the Lions have no QB so they will not be going anywhere.....they were bidding hard (and lost) for K. Warner of all people. Who's next - Scott Mitchell? g.g
  18. Losing Fergie hurt the most but they will bring in Blalock to replace Lamont. Mckenzie did not have such a great year and wants too much $$$. I think Bradway will pull off a trade or 2 + the Jets have the money to go after a Fred Smoot. As for the Lions, Charlie Rodgers will break his collarbone again in preseason & Joey Harrington is a poor man's Browning Nagle (all arm - no smarts or touch.) g.g
  19. does not make much sense as you still would need another wr. if coles is close to being released anyway, why would you do this? moss might walk after next year but i would have him play it out anyway... g.g
  20. Disagree on Moss for Abraham when you can get a Derrick Mason for free. The Jets are 1-2 players short in the secondary from having an elite defense. Their D-Line can't get pressure on the QB w/o J. Abe - all the focus goes to Shaun Ellis. Santana is better suited for the slot anyway... G.G
  21. Good - I did not want the Jets to go after him anyway. Plenty of FA WR talent on the market with Mason, Coles, Muhammad, etc.... -G.G
  22. 1. he was throwing at least +50 yds in the air in college - i saw videotape. what he has trouble doing is throwing the +15yd out patterns. 2. who better to catch the "lob" balls than randy moss??? having said that, i'm still worried about r.moss and the circus in ny. we would probably be better off: -keeping j. abe -drafting a te -going after d. mason in fa g.g
  23. Yes, would be tempting considering you could re-unite the Marshall connenction and have Santana in the slot. Also losing Lamont will force the them to throw more next year. Having said that, the JETS have trouble generating a pass rush w/o J. Abe in there. When he is healthy (big if), he can completely dominant. If they can upgrade their secondary, I think this D has a chance to be special. -G.G
  24. they have NO pitching - period. did not go out and slurge in the offseason due to revenue concerns with the nationals playing in d.c. -g.g
