  1. Shawn's played all over the beach for many years & held a residency @ Crobar for a few years until recently that he's been in & out of town from South America to Europe. Not to mention concentrating alot of his efforts on the label (Sound Ritual). Great producer & incredible sound engineer.

Most likely, you've heard his work all over the clubs. Shawn has collaborated with local djs & producers such as Roland, Austin Leeds, Juan Mejia, George Morel, Ben Grassinni, to name a few.

He's actually playin' in Puerto Rico this Saturday & is headin' back to Ibiza again this summer to his new residency @ Privilege with partner George Morel for the Sound Ritual parties...

Must be nice to travel the world, huh Shawnee?!? :)

See Shawn every Wednesday nite @ Oxygen!

Cue is playin' the Terrace after Erick. Either 9am - close or whenever Erick decides to hand it over...

Ps. No Cover TV will be filming on the Terrace Sunday Morn'!

  4. great show.. Big props!

No bullsh_t, these guys do a great job in featuring world class talent as well as local talent. Dave & company do it from the heart & represent Miami, NY, LA & the U.S. in good fashion. Probably the most successful dance/nightlife show in the country. Proud to have them a part of my hometown (Miami).

Big Props No Cover! You'll always have my support! :aright:

    ps. Sander fan here!

Had a kick ass time @ Crobar NYC. The place is beautiful & the service was great! It was nice to feel @ home in NYC with a gang of our close pals & Murk tunes...

Anyway, Oscar & Ralph turned it out. OG was on the decks when I got in about 11pm & was buildin' the room up slowly but nicely. Ralph must of taken over just after 12:30 & they tagged up from there on. At about 1:30am the place looked like the above picture & stayed that way pretty much till I left, which was shortly b4 5am.

Throughout the nite I was beginnin' to think some of the locals thought our group was insane, cuz they kept starin' @ us like we were from another planet. So I guess we must of been havin' tons of FUN!

Great nite, regardless of how damn f_kin' cold it was out.. unreal below 10 degree weather! If that's what some of you consider 1/2 full on a frozen nite, then Crobar seems to be doin' pretty well & Murk is not to be missed the next time they're in town...

ps. good seein' you enrique. ;)

    Other groups to wonder about:

    Freestylers

    Prodigy

    G. Love & Special Sauce

    Violent Femmes

    Vengaboys

Bands that I wish that were still around:(

    Sublime

    Rage Against the Machine

Sublime's front man passed away & I guess the Violent Femmes grew old with age. Have both of their (Sublime & VF) greatest hits albums in my collection. Great CDs!! :aright:

as for Rage.. they rocked!! Smart & talented bunch...

  10. The greatest asset any performer can possess is versatility. The ability to turn with ease, from one thing to another, adapting a variety of skills, and using them with equal dexterity to create a picture that is whole and unique. Fernando "CUE" Fuentes is a performer of this caliber. In his 16 years of performing, (as a musician first, and then as a DJ) he has captured a number of art forms and today, utilizes it to create a sound and style that is uniquely his own.

Cue discovered his love for music at an early age. The son of an artist, he acquired his first instrument (a drum set) by the age of 14. Handcrafted by his father and himself, Cue started playing drums and found himself jamming in various events alongside now legendary musicians from all across South America. By 20, he became one of the most solicited drummers in the underground music scene in his native Santiago de Chile, playing with different bands, different styles, going from jazz, rock and even techno pop, signaling the beginning of a versatile career.

read more on Cue & sample his music @ http://www.spinbalance.com/

See Cue every Sunday Morn' @ Space

I like to best describe his music/style as "House" on a sexy, percussive tip with a bit of a proggressive edge...

    also chek him out:

    Wednesdays @ Blue

    Sundays @ Nerve

    ;)

Every winter, from time to time we get clean north swells and sh_t like that happens. It doesn't break that nice every week here (yes! here on South point), but we do have surf for most of the winter. Anyhow, those type days only come around about 2-4 times a winter season here.

Don't look for anything close to that in the summer though. Actually, don't look for much at all in the summer... :)

It was a great show ... Roly's Interview was awesome (never heard him talk like that  )

Also James Zabiela and Vich & Berger were on the show.

Norah, I need a copy of June 6th when you had Jonathan Lisle live at the show. Still didn't get it. :(

    I don't get the show @ my girl's house so I can't tune in sometimes. I don't think Mun2 airs on Direct TV. :(

    btw, Marco

Roly's pretty good at talkin' on the air. It almost seems like he comes out of his shell. Just try gettin' the guy out of his house...

Anyway, congrats to Oscar & Ralph, I'll see those 2 tonite!
