  1. Why hasn’t anyone from crobar posted any comments about this rumor? Usually when ever anyone has a question about crobar, crobarphil or crobaralex answers it in a very timely fashion. Just a thought

The are many reasons why crobarphil and crobaralex are not responding on a timely manner. I can only speculate that they don't want this thread to get out of hand. It would be nice to hear from an inside correspondent.

Silence is guilty, and the truth will come out :clap2:

  2. Why are pple so immature when they speak? First someone starts this lame link, just months ago some black or white racist writes the tsunami song. Shall we talk about slavery, the holocaust or even how the white man stole the land we walk and live on away from the Indians?!? Pple gotta stop hating. I dont find it funny when race or sex are involve. It's a sensitive issue. So the next time you're in a club, just appreciate the different ethnicity groups are under one roof enjoying one passion, music.

  3. i agree with ronin. he's gotta do longer sets in NY. i dont know about other american cities he spins at but it seems like he dont give a hoots ass about ny. am i wrong for thinking that? i've been a huge die hard fan and only once, he did a set longer than 4 hours at club exit and this was back in 2001. This was when exit had the dj booth on the ground level opposite the stage.

he has to know nyc is one of the media capital in the world and if he keeps pulling these short sets, the media will raise hell. his rep will be tarnished and is this what he want? I just hope being the #1 dj for the past 2 years didnt go to his head.

i've been reading the threads and i am happy we all had a good time. crobar would a good venue to invite a well-known dj. i was at crobar for s&d, it was packed yet i was able to breathe in there. but to say avalon is better than roxy is insane. avalon's mainfloor is only 1/3 the size of roxy's mainfloor(i am being nice already). sure avalon's peak is 4 stories but when the place is so crowded, who wants to walk all the way up and down on those 4 foot wide corridors and stairwell. good luck to those drunks and non-drunks walking around that night.

btw, did anyone notice a bloody up dude on the floor near the stage? i am not sure what happened to him but when he jumped right up, he startled everyone with his eyes filled with blood. i hope the dude is ok.

next stops, pvd at c. park and dt/cox at roxy

    -peace-

  4. tiesto was good but the set was too short. no encore and no big ending. he spun from ~1:30 to ~4:30. my fave tracks from him last night was traffic and love comes again(everyone around me knew the lyrics to this song!).

avalon is way too small to hold this venue. he would've made more $ at roxy or crobar. the place was extremely crowded, pple pushing everywhere and HOT like a sauna at 120 degrees. this was all anticapted and i was ready for this so it didnt bothered that much.

tiesto has to spin longer than 3 hours if he wants to keep his NY fan base.

  5. Picotto was off the hook! He was so on and spun nothing bad. I've been to his set at arc and have to say last night was his best performance. When is this dude coming back? I am down when he does come.

Christian Smith was good too. Flawless and provided a great set for a man like Picotto to come in.

Crowd was great too and staff was courteous. If you were there, everyone was enjoying a great night of hard trance. People started to leave at 5? Why so early? That I didn't understand but I guess it good to have space around you. I stayed til the end...it was too amazing.

Ronin, thanks for the playlist. How did you manage to remember all those tracks?

    Next stop: PVD

  6. pvd dropped 'Nobody Listens to Techno'??? no way...i didnt even recall that song!!! what time was this? i wish i heard it cuz i wanted to see how the crowd reacted. i know i wouldve been like, yeah booiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

nice shot with tiesto? where was this taken? at space?

does anyone know how much are tiesto tickets?

  7. arc? no alcohol? doesn't that ring a bell to authorities? i don't know of any place where a large amount of pple would go to enjoy themselves without the company of alcohol. now you got this club that stays open til dawn and it's still packed. they must be doing something right.....

  8. nicely put. pvd did a nice job. maybe you're right, he wants to go to a different direction and change is always good! we don't want to hear the same old shit at clubs all the time do we?? with this said, let's wait until tijis comes to ny and put on a show for us. then we can have a debate!

  9. you're right, people do have off nights, even great artists! i have to say the crowd was good last night. i myself stayed til 8 and most pple were still having a good time! This makes me feel good seeing pple having a blast. Also like to add, roxy definitely rocks over exit. i like that whole floor look. the stair climbing sux at exit, that is why i never get to the second level.

anyone going to acosta at exit?

  10. pvd again was at this best. for those who hate his work, don't come out if you thought you had a bad experience. stay home so others can enjoy his music. and for those who can't afford $40, stay home please. we don't need kids in parties.

tijis, i will see you in may.
