  1. There's only one thing in life you can do "too much", and that's worry..... and heroin. You can do too much heroin.
  2. Leave the rave kiddies alone. Theyre good people and they have good drugs. Carl Cox is totally sweet. If he kicks half as much ass as he did in the Area One tent last summer, this'll probably be the best club night anyone in Philly's seen since, well, the Deep Dish set the other day.....consistency.....whoa. Too bad I'm in Los Angeles and I'm only turning 19 that day (woulda been a damn fine way to celebrate).
  3. Winter Music Conference is in Miami a little beacuse of spring breaks and because itll be warmer there than other places.... And let's be real. Chicago is the capital of house music.
  4. Haha YES! The infamous "hey, let's all grind to house/trance music." Just more clear evidence that as yet, there is absolutely no scene in philly. Goddamn, when I get back this summer, I have to make sure to take many a trip to New York and DC. And about that DJ at Envy playing castles in the sky, i turn to you, etc : standard. Good songs, but yes, old and overplayed. I try to learn to live with it, especially being under 21 and being confined to shitty clubs like egypt and shampoo, where as you said, it is just a meat market atmosphere. Hey getting wasted and trying to get wit some girl is no crime, but lets get something together for the music lovers, a la Vinyl in NYC (no alc and no bullshit i hear...and DT) And Deep Dish are fucking great, I envy all of you that saw them, looking forward to seeing them should i venture to DC. One last thing, I read somewhere that Transit is a membership only club is or was that ever true, cuz i think id really like to go there if they have talent like Deep Dish coming through at times.
  5. hey i was reading through some of your responses to the question about why philly gets no love.....pretty much gave me some good insight into the bullshit that is delaware ave......but i noticed two things.....the 2 am law that you people say isnt helping, is that really a statute, i coulda sworn that evolution claimed 3:30 and that other places claimed 6 am....and the most important question of this post, what is this whistle 4 business....if someone could send me some sort of information about where and when this might take place and what its all about etc. i would appreciate it greatly
  6. Yo I've been looking through this message board and I'm extra pleased to see so many big names coming to philly finally......carl, kimball, deep dish, etc. ..........hopefully this continues. But it still bugs me that it took this long for the 5th most populated city in the nation to bring in some big name DJs. I'm from Philly, right now I'm in LA goin' to USC, and as one would expect, theres a lot of big names rolling through here all the time.....I'd like to see that kidna thing happen for Philly. I'm wondering if anyone knows why we have absolutely no dance scene going on in our city. Not enough exposure? Shitty clubs? Personally I've gotten sick and tired of fucking Shampoo and the like who seem to rely on the same hard house bullshit tracks every night, theyve had real DJs at evolution before like ralph and sandra, but im under 21 so that shit didnt workout.....whatever im ranting on here, does anyone have any insight into this or ideas on how to expand the scene in philly? we're smack dab in between DC and NYC, cant we pull in DT and Deep Dish more often (or at all in DT's case)? also, i notice a lot of anti-trance from the house people and vice versa.....that sucks people, i like both....both are beautiful ass music.......thats all i got, peace
