'Sup, sup? Wanted to let you all know that Metatrack Studios is going to start having a bi-weekly event on Tuesday nights. It's called Flux and it's at the U Turn bar on U street downtown. It's kind of like an open mic night, but for DJ's, and you have to get scheduled ahead of time. He11, even Melanee or myself could spin there in a few months. Hey, I was at this hippy event last weekend and I think I got a roll with some mescaline in it. It was a Clover, but it was blue, not green. Anybody know what's in these? Anyhow, it was a seriously good time, but I'm pretty sure that mescaline is really hard to come by on the East coast. Does anybody else ever see it around?

I've been trying to figure this out since I got tables a month ago. I just don't know yet! I need to go out a lot more. I've probably been buying equal shares of breakbeat and house. I don't like any paticular genre, but there are certain qualities that I like which are consistent. I like ambient noises in my music. I also like music that's fun or even funny, but I totally loose my groove when a track oozes over into cheezy. And that's a fine line to try to ride. Also, I can't decide because I prefer different types when I'm driving alone, driving with people, at work, at a club sober and at a club trashed! UGH! Maybe someday I'll know what to spin.
