  1. I have an MD player/recorder and for sometime have not been able to transfer from MD to computer. There is a MIC input on the computer, but the output from the MD is the headphone. Unless you can do the conversion, I don't think it's possible.
  2. Hey Malanee, Check out the Sony Cybershot Mavicas. I have an older model with 1.3 Megapixels, but the newer ones are amazing. You can also capture mpeg movie files on them - that way you can film your spinning sessions for the masses.
  3. I used to race cars, but now keep them pretty. The only time I race cars now is going to up to a track with some prof. instructors and polish up. Every once in a while I'll open her up.
  4. wahoo - have you seen malanee's car - there's no way I'm letting her drive mine (j/k malanee - before you hop the fence and jack me). I suppose I'll let malanee drive it since I promised that she could drive my previous car before I got rid of it. Ooops malanee. jroo - I think (if I recall correctly) strut and sways bars are two different things. Sway bars are basically anti-roll bars (self explanatory). In your car, you have struts in the front and shocks in the rears - the strut bars are designed to stiffen the chassis of the car, basically to keep it from bending during spirited driving. This is definitely recommended for cars with t-tops or convertible. The fastest i've ever riden in a street legal car is 190 mph (and counting). The fastest i've ever driven my car (previous) is 168 mph. After 150 mph, it's all a big blur anyways.
  5. Wahoo - The e46 is definitely a different creature in comparison to the e36. The e46 defnitely feels heavier than the e36, but since we finally get the version that is shipped to Europe, the power makes up for the weight. I always felt that the e36 was missing that in comparison to their euorpean cousins. Handling on the e46 is definitely tighter and if you disengage the DSC, you can really light up your tires. Out of all the cars I've owned, I would say the e46 is probably the best handling car out there. Too bad BMW doesn't make an M3 in all-wheel drive. My color is titanium silver/light grey leather. You're right on the 'sport' button - the first time I hit that button, I literally put my passenger to the back seat. As for tires, personally I think the best tires out there were the Michelin Pilot Sport MMX (don't think they make those anymore). I think the current Michelin are the Pilot Sports. That's what I have on mine 225/45/18 in the fronts and 255/40/18 in the rears. Racing Dynamics is currently developing a new front spoiler and sway bars and will be using my car as a prototype. jroo - I agree with wahoo and would stay away from street racing. I would try to find a close course to test your car rather than take on the risks. I would be more concern with the other driver's ability to push their car.
  6. Kuro - Don't think I will make it out to Buzz this weekend, I trying to fight of a cold right now and considering Howells next weekend, and my sister coming into town Saturday, I'm going to skip Buzz. Next week though - it's game on!
  7. The weight of an M3 coupe is around 3300 lbs and the M3 convertible is around 3700 lbs. The hp at the wheels on my car is around 270ish until I decide on which mods I want to do to the car.
  8. The rumor you've probably heard is the M3 GTR - only 50 are being produced my BMW at the price of $250K. It incorporates the M5 V8 engine inside the M3 chassis. HP is around 444 with a curb weight of 2450 lbs. 0-60 is 3.4 secs and 0-100 is 7.0 secs. Standing 1/4 mile is 11.4 secs @ 127.
  9. Having owned both the E36 and E46, here are the specs. The new M3s have 333 hp [uS version] and the old M3s have 240 hp [uS version] - both stock. The M5s are 394 hp [uS version]. The older M3s are weak compared to their European counterparts, which are 280 hp stock. The numbers from BMW are conservative when you are comparing 0-60 times, but don't know about 1/4 mile. I know that the M3 coupes 0-60 times are anywhere between 4.6 - 4.8 secs. As for the convertible, you're looking at 5.02 - 5.2 secs. for 0-60. Getting the new M3s to race you is going to be somewhat challenging since the car's engine is not truly 'broken' in until around 5K miles. If you're going to race one with the SMGII tranny, good luck since those cars incorporates the the F1 paddle shift and they shift faster than any manual - about 80 ms. Personally, I wouldn't run mine unless we're on a closed track [not worth the risks] - 1/4 mile of course, but the engine is still being broken in. Should be fun though with your stock WRX vs. my stock M3 Convertible. What mods are you looking for the WRX?
  10. Malanee knows not to get me started ;-) Right Malanee? :-D
  11. The money that the people put into Dream is amazing. The decor and layout of the club is phenomenal I will say, very impress. But the crowd there is similar to that of Platinum - there to be seened basically. The music and DJs,...well that can be desired for to say the least. I think the last time Dream had real DJ talent was Dave Seaman on opening night.
  12. It should be Sparky1712. It'll probably help if I logged in huh?
  13. Crank - told you that I would get around to posting on here eventually. Are you going to Buzz this weekend? I haven't decided whether or not I am going yet. Right now, I doubt it but that all could change by Friday. My sister is coming in this weekend and a bunch of us is heading up to Dream on Saturday night (more her style than mine).
  14. I'm curious why you want to race a M3 with a stock WRX? Are you looking for 1/4 mile, 0-60 or auto-x?
  15. That's right Kuro - it's all over now [lol] Don't forget, you all were busting on me for not posting here, so here I am. Still waiting for Melanee to post something - then it's on [lol] Thanks for the welcome everyone!!!
  16. That's right Vicman, now you have to deal with me here. [shhhhhh] don't tell Melanee ;-) Great, now what have I gotten myself into.
