Direct Connect is very good. It's also decentralized. It's mostly used not for music though but for the downloading of Playstation 2/Dreamcast images, software, DVDs (yep, you can get Lord of the Rings there already) and you guessed it, porn. The good thing about Direct Connect is that there are different "hubs". These hubs will have requirements for you to enter into the hub , like you have to have 10 gigs of shared files for example to be let in. This makes sure that plenty of files are available unlike Kazaa/Grokster which don't require you to share. It's so-so for music, but as more people use it, the number of music files will increase. Direct Connect is sort of like a cross between IRC and napster without the central server. http://www.neo-modus.com
