  3. The closing parties are the best time of the season there. From the frist week in September till the 3rd week it is insanity at its finest. The temp begins to drop around the 23rd of the month and the parties are almost all but done by then. You can check the schedule online.

Enjoy and take some pics :))

  4. Its hardly a mosh pit but it is crowded. The big drawback, having been there every year since it started is the line to the bathrooms. Literally 30 minutes and there is hardly a way to pee anywhere but the portapottys. Actually I am going to message Lanie at Aurelia Entertainment, PVD's manager, to request they put in more portapottys. They may have hard liquor too as well as beer.

  5. Brooks you are totally right and I feel like a donkey. Mostly because I used to be almost fluent in French but also because I was there in 2004 and had a blast. Thank you for correcting me. Doh!!!! :) I was seriously hammerred the entire time I was there. I fell alseep on the beach, in a car and under a hedge on the side of the road one night when, yes I had a hotel room too, lol!

Yeah what is it with all the criticisms and judemental crap. Just learn to have fun wherever you are people. I was raised by my grandparents and my grandmother sounds like that. Always judging and passing critical negative remarks. If you really are about the music then leave the negativity and critical judging for the grandparents.

When life gives you lemons, make a drink!

(hehe bet you thought I was gonna say 'make lemonade' ;-)~

One night a week I think VIP plays some great house music so look for it there.

  6. The beach clubs are nice in the day. Nikki Beach especially and Vin Rouge.

At night go to VIP, La Cave du Roi and Papagayo. I know th eowner of Papagayo, Jean Claude and while he is a great guy the music is not great. They have good music at VIP sometimes. St Tropez is not known for music but the scene rather.

There are devastating women there because there is evastating money there and it is very expensive. I had a fuckin gblast and you will too just try to speak a lil French and not to let attitude get to you and you will have fun. You can find cheap hotels on the outskirts of town whic a re nt far from the main drag. The dock where all the yachts are sometimes have incredible parties on them but they are ususally private parties.

You are gonna be spitting didstance from Ibiza and I would go there for sure if you like music. Shit starts kickiing up in June in Ibiza.

Have a blast and take soem pics and post them when you get back.

  7. You can not go to these before 5 AM if the crowd is something that is gonna bother you.

DT is the fucking man. Can't wait to see him again. He is doing a "Boo Yourself" Halloween party and I will def be there. He has been totally fucking awesome his last few shows and Pacha is one place he rocks in.

  8. I thnk it was '96 but if I remmeber correctly, this was at Randall's Island, there were 37 DJ's on 6 stages and the weather was amazing sun all day and the party went from noon to 12:30 AM. Tall Paul, Dieselboy, Sandra Collins, and many others made it totally great. All in all one of the most memorable parties ever.

  9. I am a creative person with a degree in Architecture and have been working in the corporate environment longer than I care to remember.

I love music and I love the feeling of being an artist and having my art move people.

I love travelling and I love dancing and the whole club environment and eventually want to have my own place in Europe, preferably Ibiza, Berlin and London in that order. I may even move to the Liguria, Italy or Marbella, Spain with my GF in a year or 2.

It's not for the girls, not for the image. It's what I want to do because it is what I love and would love to spend the rest of my life making music and/or creating the environment for people to have a wonderful time.

My Uncle who I had a great deal of respect for once told me "do what you love and the money will follow". I haven't done it yet, I will soon

  10. I need to learn technique and tricks of the trade. How to use the headphones to properly gauge mix-in points and stuff like looping and sampling and the use of effects. I have read up about matching BPM's and mixing but also want to produce some of my own mixes and not just spin exisitng ones. I was thinking of getting a laptop and getting rid of the 3rd deck and locating the laptop in the middle of the decks, above the mixer and then loading it up with beats, samples, voice clips, midi's and other sound files like waves, mp3's etc. and a cool software program just for DJ'ing. Perhaps even other devices like drum machine or keyboard or whatever else there is to make unique sounds I can mix into it all.

I have never done this in my life and after taking a course at Scratch DJ Academy, I know I don't fit into their "scratchin" style and want be a house/trance DJ. I love PVD, Satoshi Tomi, Erik Morrillo, Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, etc. and want to make music like that. I also need to build up my CD library and find great sources of mixes/songs to burn cheap as money is tight right now, at least for another month.

  11. I have set up 3, Pioneer CDJ700s decks and a Vestax mixer and great monitors and amps and have always been a huge house and trance head but can only go so far on my own and need a lesson or 2.

The party is on me for anyone who can give me a few pointers.

    Thanks :)
