I don't nomally post, but something is starting to bother me. I'd first like to say that in no way am i bashing NJ dj's, but the music these clubs/lounges are playing are wack. I was actually pretty good friends with a DJ who used to post here. He told me it sucks that he can't play the music he wanted to, he had to play this bs they tell him to. I'm not gonna be name dropper, but he had a show on metromix, where he was allowed to play what ever he wanted. His track selection/mixing was flawless and was always droppin' some dope beats. tech-house and acid house is not played around here. NJ is yet to have a place where they play different kinds of house music. A place with no dress code, where you can go in sneakers and sweat pants and just dance. I know a place like this could work because i know theres actullaly people who go just to listen to good music. imagine that? going to a club specifally for a dj you like? I know there's some nice eye candy and all, but it shouldn't be the only reason to goto a club. wether you'll admit it or not, majority of the people go to flaunt their shit and or get laid. If you don't believe that, then you're lying to yourself. And believe me, there's no problem with that. But come on, every single place is the same. there's no variety. There needs to be an alternative. There needs to be a spot where world reknown DJ's can come. Alot of the hardcore music fans think Johnathan Peters is the best DJ. I can understand that, he has his momements. But outside NY he's nobody. He didn't even make the best 100 in the world. (according to DJMag.com) I know this post is long and boring, but i wish 1 of the promoters would bring a big DJ here. I dunno if any of yous heard of vinyl/arc in the city. They were in business for about 14 years before they lost the building. They never had a liquor license. yes thats right, did not serve alcohol... They didn't need it. They were bringing in the best Dj's in the world there and no one could compete with the big name djs. Who's DJing to me is the most important ingredient to having a good time, and im sure other people feel that way. Now the same promotion team that was at arc does alot of the promotions at spirit [madeevents]. It might cost a little more [cover charge] but i'm sure it'd pay off in the long run, and bring alot of real music heads actually into NJ clubs. [/rant]

  2. some of you may, or may not heard this song before... I personally find it hillarious... for those who never heard it before, its a song making fun of retarded people in sports, ie; wheelchair basketball. do you think its wrong for people to make, or listen to these songs, or you do you not care as long as its funny? I think it is mean, but i would still listen to it.. i'd never make fun of someone handicapped, but you do gotta admit, its hard not cracking a smile when you see some retard licking the bus window...

Do you realize how stupid this comment is...and what if all this supposed "evidence" is just pointing towards something that you wish they would find...come on, it is going to be obvious they have weapons, but it seems as if they are compelling, almost forcing them to have these weapons by the end of their little investigation, to prove to the world that they were wrong and that indeed, the US was right in invading iraq.

:blown: some people, i guess, are just more comfortable disillusioning themselves rather than facing the truth...

lets say your right, and no WMD are found... after seeing the mass graves of 15,000 + people and the torture chambers ect... do you still feel this war was justified?

you all hope we don't find anything to prove your point, but you do agree he "had" them... where do you think they are?? hmmm...

your main problem really is your hatred of g. bush... you set yourself up to be right if everything goes wrong... its sad that you're gonna be on the wrong side of history...

  6. come on, no opinion on this??? i personally think its a pretty good... im still debating to buy it or not, and need some opinions... on the one hand, its got a nice beat and very few vocals, just enough for people to know what song it is.. but on the other, i know so many people that will break the radio if they hear it... :smoke:

its a pretty good track that will for sure get the crowd going at any joint due to its popularity and originality.

It is remixed by MV or Envy. Big up!

what i meant by being played out, is how its so overly played on the radio... i was wondering if people were so sick of hearing it everywhere, they'd give it a chance...

see, thats the difference... liberalism is an emotion, not a belief... you let your emotion get in the way of what is right...

  9. i hear this often from the left, but i wonder if they understand what they're actually saying...

what the hell does "i'm agaist the war, but for the troops" mean???

thats like saying, im for the firefighters, but against them putting out fires...

if you're for the troops, you back them up and support the cause.. the whole point of supporting the troops it to boost morale...if you're protesting the war, it does the opposite... someone please explain...
