Alan Abrahams has earned a lot of attention lately - a native South African now living in Lisbon, Portugal, his albums as Portable for the Background and ~scape imprints have garnered near-universal acclaim for their deft fusion of tribal rhythms and a modern micro-house sensibility. For his first LP as Bodycode, Abrahams focuses on the more dancefloor-oriented aspects of his style, yielding a gorgeous album born from the belief that the psyche can be unlocked via the body.
Bodycode also came from necessity - while on tour playing club dates, Abrahams was compelled to seek the most fitting sound for that environment. Fittingly, the coy female vocal samples of "Gene Patch" and "Hand Free Computer Interface" suggest disco divas while a signature attention to detail underscores their powerful central rhythms. Tracks like "Local Traffic", on the other hand, build graceful rhythmic webs upon dozens of digital squelches, fully conscious of their capacity for psychological manipulation. Remarkably adept at its task, Bodycode's mesmerizing percussive arrangements and subtle melodic flourishes create an immediately engaging sound that lingers in the mind long after the club has closed.

Unofficially our last party of 2005. It's been a busy year for the robots as plans for World Domination have been carefully executed. The dawn of a new era is soon upon us. 2006 will see the total eradication of Human Life.
However one small pocket of Human existence still remains. A group of human insurgents calling themselves the Human Alliance led by a character in a red suit with a white beard known as: "Father Christmas", that has proved a thorn in the U.R.A's side.
Recently captured whilst riding reindeer, Christmas will now pay the price. He escaped once last year...This time he will not be so lucky............

Tiefschwarz was formed in 1996 by two brothers – Alexander and Sebastian Schwarz – who have been successful DJs for over a decade. Peter Hoff, who runs the Benztown studios in Stuttgart, completes the Tiefschwarz production team. Ali and Basti came up with the name for their project after a DJ gig. Tiefschwarz, which is German for 'deep black', is a mixture of their last name, Schwarz, and their love for deep house.Besides their work as resident DJs, Ali and Basti have been travelling together throughout Europe and overseas since 1995. They've played at countless major events and the most popular clubs in both Germany and Switzerland (Zürich, Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Basle, etc.) as well as in major foreign cities, such as Miami (W.M.C.), New York, Washington, Melbourne, Sydney, Prague, Sarajevo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Rimini, Stockholm, London, Leeds, Sheffield, Ibiza, etc.After six years of DJing and promoting, the two brothers began producing their own tracks.
