I was there MDW too and it was dead because it just opened and they didnt start advertising. They need to start charging a cover like $20-$25 to keep out the undesirables. This past Wed they had 7 fights and had to call the cops for one of them.
Agree with you on that but how much can you really charge for a SIN night. a party that is for people in the nightlife and service industy.They should run a guestlist for the SI people and all others pay a $25 cover, and must have proof of employment to get on a list. If they apply a proper dress code then im sure they can cut down on the undesirables. no baggy jeans and shirts 5 times bigger then you wear.

I hit it up on MDW and it was DEAD! But the place looks amazing and has HUGE potential. They need to add a better DJ, soundsystem and new promotors.
i have been hearing that saturday nights are dead. best night to go by far is Wednesday night. there was an hour wait to get in the place. music was fairly good with house sets for more then a half hour and then to some hip hop and a mix of it all. crowd was sick and bottles are priced from $100 to $250 depending on what you like. will definitly be there next wednesday.

If anyone comes down to Ac make sure you hit up The Pool at night. Wed night is industry night and the place is unreal and definitly the new hotspot for AC. bottles and hot tubs are cheap as well.

Definitly hit up the pier for dinner. i would hit up either sonzie or continental. as for the clubs. they all play the mix up with house, hip hop and mash ups. Hopefully by the summer some of these clubs will bring some house djs instead of these mash up video djs.

I have heard from a very reliable source that Crobar will be opening up at the old Avalon which use to be the world famous Limelight only this time no ASIANS will be allowed...gonna be siiiiiick!!!!
ummm what happend to the plans of avalon getting ripped up and turning into a clothing store and cafe or someshit. news was even in the paper already. i kinda doubt crobar will be hitting that space up.

let me know where i can get ur cookbook when ur done I can send you a few of my featured recipes if you like. The acutal cookbook will take a while to complete and process. Have to get it edited then sent to the copyright office, after that a ISBN number is assigned to the book and that takes weeks, sometimes months. Once all of that is done, then the marketing process comes into play and then will acutally be able to sell the book and try to make a profit from it. mozzarella, tomato, basil appetizer w olive oil, artichoke/mushroom or some type of ceviche with good bread, salad - mixed greens and spinach salad with vinagarette, chilean sea bass with asparagus and mashed potatoes and dessert chocolate mousse or tiramisu AND of course the WINE

Acutally i am putting a few cookbooks together and getting peoples opinions on what they would love to eat on a special night. thank you for stating what you would like. chilean sea bass goes great with a truffled mashed potatoes as well with a warm bacon vinagrette over steamed asparagus. yum.

Yea made over into the Copa from what i hear, since the Copa will be closing down and relocating & moving back uptown. The 34th st location is being torndown (eminent Domain) because of the expansion for the Javits with the new # 7 subway line and bus station over there
hmm i think the exit space is a little to big for a copa. not saying its not true but who knows what rumors will be true, will have to wait and see.

Personally I think Rivera is a pretty good DJ. Although not my favorite but one I always enjoy. I'm kinda miffed I missed his crobar set. If you don't like his productions, then you wont like his sets. He does play alot of his own stuff, as well as stuff that sounds like his. Benny Benassi, Tomcraft, Eric Prydz, he tends to play alot of their stuff, but can always hit you with a vintage track, or tribal bomb to throw you for a loop.
Robbie is also one of the most genuine people in Electronic Music. If your a fan he is very approachable, and has always been extremely nice to me and my friends every time I see him.
I agree with you on that. i did a party back like 4 to 5 years ago at discotheque with a few people and we had rivera there for one night. place was packed and i must say it was probally the best set i ever heard from him. great guy as well. talked with pretty much anyone that wanted to say hi to him. I havent heard him in probally over a year now so wondering how his sets are and if any new productions came out.

was talking to my friend earlier about all that hot nightclubs from the past and how they have there reunion parties. like poorbillys at someplace. sexy at the roxy was at wb. theres always a tunnel reunion and you get what im sayin. i really dont think there was ever an official Hunka Bunka Reunion. This shit really needs to take place and happen. Im callin for Bon Solid and Joey Enuff to get together for one night at the starland ballroom for the sickest nightclub reunion ever. get all the promoters from back in the day involved. my idea would be this.

DJs Richie Santana, Denny Tsettos, Toro, Johnny FX, Eddie Baez, Anthony Acid, Skribble, Boris and any other dj that was apart of the silver ball promotions.
would probally never be able to happen but if it ever did i think it would be the best reunion for a NJ nightclub or even Tri-state for that matter.

I must admit, I said there was NO CHANCE of RU winning, they stepped it up last night on the national spotlight, that game alone will do wonders to the program. The next ? is where will Schiano be coaching next yr.......
Tried some of the brunswick bars, too packed w/ frat fags running around, hit up Glo/Prive. place was jumping and they let you in free w/ a ticket stub.
Pretty sure Schiano will be coaching RU next season as well. Schiano and other coaches already have been picking up new players for the next few seasons. Looks like RU will just keep gettin better. hope they can keep playin great the rest of the season.

heyyyy i was at Bliss friday night with Robbie Rivera on the tables. Place was pumpin and the music couldnt of been any better. Then he dropped this track with the lyrics that say "Mickey Mouse does drugs" and "Minnie says, when Mickey is angry, Mickey does drugs"
The beat of the song was pretty hot, but that song made the night for me and my friends cause of the humor we got out of it. If anyone has a Track ID please help me out
