Rich is a relatively new DJ, having started learning his craft from scratch in April 2000. In this short time, however, he has accomplished much more than his limited experience would suggest. Since his first public appearances at Halcyon’s open turntable sessions, he’s gone on to play at an ever-increasing array of clubs in New York City. This list includes ARC/Vinyl, Shelter, Centro Fly, Discotheque, Filter 14, and Open Air, as well as numerous bars, lounges, and house/loft/roof parties. He has held several residencies at various smaller venues around the city. He is one of the “Be Yourself†DJ’s, appearing regularly as an opener or fill-in for Danny Tenaglia at his regular Friday night parties, and he recently opened for Steve Lawler, Tom Stephan (Superchumbo), Chris Fortier and Sandra Collins Rich has gained a reputation for seeking out and discovering rare or obscure records and this is reflected in his sets and CD’s. He draws his influences from many sources, including Terry Francis, John Digweed & Carl Cox. However, the main influence on the sounds that he looks for and the records that he buys and plays is Danny Tenaglia, a DJ that he looks to for inspiration to this day. ------------ Tip of the Day How to aviod Alligator Attacks!
