  1. Nu Rhythmix vs. Alex Romano - Babylons Into A Groove Bangin' vocal over the early 80's classic Freestyle song - "Shannon - Let The Music Play" - updated perfectly! Already in my Top 10 for next year!!!
  2. Look cock-chugger, baldbull and myself go a lot further back in the scene then you do. You are a little Junior fan and that's it. You are one dimensional...
  3. What's this have to do with JP? I have never even liked JP or JP's after-hours scene at Sound Factory cock-chugger boy...
  4. Junior's contributions to House music are being GROSSLY overstated here in the New York forum, especially by starscream. FYI, Junior has really had ZERO influence on funky Chicago and San Francisco House music. That is a FACT! Some idiots (like starscream) have never clubbed outside of NYC in their 25 years of life on this Earth. Starscream - Try listening to or going to hear live... Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Jerry Bonham, DJ Dan, Jay Tripwire just to name a few. NYC is NOT the only place that exists and NYC's popular "pop diva remix" and "gay circuit House" is not the only type of House music out there. I suggest that you broaden your House music horizons. They are very limited and that is obvious by your ignorant remarks and overstated bullshit about Junior's impact on House music. Get a clue...
  5. Aren't we all tired of gay circuit House music and pop diva cheese ball remixes? That is what Junior is all about anymore and YES his time has come anfd gone as he's been done for over 3 years now! This type of House music has nearly ruined the genre! Give me some Jay Tripwire, Danny Howells, Derrick Carter, Roger Sanchez or Satoshi Tomie ANYDAY over Junior Vasquez!!!
  6. How was the set? How were Glaude and Saint Etienne? How long did they each play for and what was the overall review?
  7. Excellent mixes by an EXCELLENT DJ!!!
  8. When Glaude comes to NYC he is the best DJ there period! No one can match his beats, energy, crowd interaction OR turntable skills. The only other DJ's (that I can think of off hand) that are in Glaude's league are Calderone, Junior (when he is on) & Danny T...
  9. P Diddy rolls! Wow! What a revelation. I'm sure he does a lot of other shit too besides just rolling...
  10. My borther called me for Sound Factory about an hour ago and he's been there since 8 AM. He said Junior is sick and has been bangin' em' out now hour after hour since he got there at 8 AM... I think Junior is going to spin until Midnight or 1 AM like last year. He said it's a much, much better set than Junior's party last NYE. Fuck! I wish I was there right now!
  11. Is the 112 crew not the most underrated crew/group of DJs out there? Those guys always bang em' out and NEVER disappoint!
  12. No particular order, but these are all House DJs and some of my favorites off the top of my head: Hipp-E & Halo - H Foundation Steve Lawler Victor Calderone S-Man - Roger Sanchez Danny Howells Richie Hawtin Erick Morrillo Little Louie Vega Ty Tek - Local Denver guy is also an amazing up and coming Tech-House producer. Check some of his shit out on Soulseek Danny Tenaglia Jonathan Peters - When he's on, HE'S ON! Junior Vasquez - Same as Peters In all reality there are so many great DJ's out there that have never gotten their break or the exposure and success that they deserve! In the end, support your local DJs!
  13. I agree with you sdeelite. I think there are too many so called experts on here that only know one genre of House. Mike Bugout's CD/mix is excellent with the exception of track #2 (I think the Wally Lopez remix blows too). I think the overall track selection is very good and the whole CD is very tight. I'll give credit where credit is due.
  14. Denny is a great DJ. His crowds and how and whom he has to pander to are what makes him bad at times. You may not like a lot of the guys I mentioned because they are Chicago style or Chicago influenced House. Not too many DJs in NYC play anything, but pop diva remix type stuff. It's either NYC House or Trance in NYC and not much else. Being in Denver I have headliner DJ's come through The Church every other week. Check out the website and you'll see just who comes through Denver. Not to mention Denver has a lot of very good DJ's and eclectic DJ's who don't spin and pander to a Jersey type or SF classics/anthems crowd. I have been to Deko, Hunka, Tempts, DJAIS and many places in the city and have come away disappointed many times. I am thankful to be in Denver, since we have a good underground that isn't spoiled by the SF types and the Jersey crowd too... Many DJ's in Denver are producers too. They just don't spin. Check out the productions of Vitamin D, Pound Boys, Wyatt Earp, Ty Tek and Little Mike to name a few. Some of their tracks are getting International exposure (Lee Burridge) and are favorites of your Junior Vasquez and Danny T. I like different styles of House. I don't just listen to Murk, Junior & Calderone type remixes and productions. If I want to hear top 40 type House, then I'll listen to a Johnny Vicious mix CD (no disrespec to Johnny, but his compilation CD's have track selections just like Louie Devito...). If you want to hear someone much more creative, then check out Tony Senghore (NYC based) or Vitamin D/Floorfillaz. People should listen to different styles of House. Then again most people play the same 30 songs over and over and over again adnb that is what CPers like. Using the analogy about Guetta's popularity, do you think Nelly is better than Show & AG or KRS-One? He must be because he's more popular and he sells more records. Then David Guetta must be the bomb because eveyone loves his track "Just A Little More Love". And Yes Mike your CD is banging and the mixing is very tight too.
  15. No... Denver's playin' it in some places. I guess you GENIOUS's have never heard of Casa Del Soul Records? The Casa Crew is a tight group of DJ's and they don't spin cheese like Guetta. Then again for you Jersey and Borough heads Tsettos is King... Pathetic... You same people were all over Dark Beat when it first came out. Admit it. To you, quality House music is a JP pop diva remix. You could never understand real House music like Franck Roger, Kenny Hawkes, Boo Williams, Demarkus Lewis, Mazi, Bob Sinclair, Brett Johnson, Kevin Yost, Jay Tripwire, Pound Boys, Ty Tek, etc... Bugout would know what I am talking about, but you other amatuers would not.
  16. Mike - I LOVE your mix with one exception... The "Just A Little More Love (wally lopez) - David Guetta" track has got to be the cheesiest, most over played and over rated House song I've ever heard. This song is pure Euro trash at it's finest... It hits its low point when he holds the high note for like 10 seconds in the middle of the track. WTF is up with that? THis song just blows!!! There. I won't mention that song or how much I think it sucks ever again...
  17. Tony Humphries is the fucking man no doubt about! Anyone who likes House, but not Deep House doesn't really appreciate the "House" scene IMO. Deep House is some of the best, funkiest and most soulful music out there.
  18. How about the following for DJs & Producers. Some are of course better Producers than they are DJs... Mazi Demarkus Lewis Boo Williams Josh Wink Kenny Hawkes Franck Roger Roger Sanchez Ty Tek (AWESOME DJ and up and coming producer too) Little Louie Vega Pound Boys Brett Johnson Kevin Yost
  19. What about Mazi and Boo Williams from Chicago? Also check out Demarkus Lewis (from Dallas, TX) he's all Chicago style Deep, Deep House, but he's on a more funky tip than just pure vocals. Check out these tracks: Demarkus Lewis - Turn Up The Sirens Boo Williams & Demarkus Lewis - Keys to the City (Original Mix) Kenny Hawkes (He's a UK DJ). Check out his track that came out aast year that is PURE House. It's called 'Dance For Me'. It has this sweet Technotronic "Pump Up The Jam" sample in it. Also Mazi and Brett Johnson put out some very good tracks. This board knows jack shit about Chicago style House. Everything here is all about KTU mainstream SHIT. This includes most of the DJ's that post here too. They take no chances. They talk about underground - underground my ass! Expand your horizons people beyond House pop cullture icon remixe CHEESE by Junior, JP, etc.
  20. I guess the real club crowd is the 21 and 22 year olds that know their House music oh so well going all the way back to the classics of the Summer of 2001? The worst type of crowd IS WHEN the majority of the clubbers are under 25. Too many kids in UFOs' and FUBUs. Got to love a nice looking, sophistcated and well rounded crowd! 22 - At that age they know it all.. hehe...
  21. It still is sad kid. Now it's not only where is the next 'pill' coming from, but where's the next 'bump' and 'cap' coming from too. Let me know if you need any Liv52 also and I'll send you some. he... he... he... he...
  22. Some of the Mods at Elitefitness are growing tired of your childish antics over here njStacked2 Fonz & Manny78 are sick of your childishness. Grow up! You have no business moderating SHIT. Do you like how I got your thread locked over at Elite too? You give us bodybuilders a bad name. Grow up 'kid'.
  23. Who's the guy next to you with Down Syndrome?
  24. I feel you hotspotpromos. The heat and more importantly the humidity are INDEED unbearable. That's the way it is in South AND Central FL from roughly mid June to mid October. It's unbearable heat and humidity. It's too bad that you don't know the right people. SoBe/Miami is like NYC in some ways. Those that TRULY want to party AND have the money do it in the form of a private, invite only venue. SoBe and Ocean Dr. etc. are only for the B crowd. No offense to anyone by that statement; I'm not a millionare or a celebrity so therefore I'm 'inherently' not part of the A-crowd. The A-crowd is pro athletes, models, celebrities, actors/actresses, etc.
