TRANCE IS BACK IN MIAMI & IT'S HERE TO STAY FOR GOOD!!!!
IF U PLAY IT...... THEY WILL COME!!!!
Glad to see that all these new clubs that are opening up are bringing in some of the BEST TRANCE DJ's in the world.
These clubs are taking a chance & opening there eyes & ears & not necessarily thinking about there POCKETS. When you have good music & a good crowd, everything else falls into place all by itself. From what i've seen & IMO Space for the past few years has only brought in what they've wanted top bring in to keep the spirit of TRANCE alive. I know alot of issues & politics bullshit play a factor, but as a clubber i go for the MUSIC & NOT THE VENUE.
On any given day i would prefer going to a small venue with awesome music than going to a huge venue with shitty & boring music.
NOCTURNAL (FINALLY!! & towards the new year)/ Metropolis are bringin in all the talent SPACE did want not to bring in. For what reason i don't know & don't really care. All I know it that it seems like SPACE is gonna have a run for its money.
FOR EXAMPLE.....
Look @ what's gonna happen this THANKSGIVING @ SPACE...
A SHADOW LOUNGE reuinion!!!! (WOOHOO!!).
I feel & think SPACE will have no choice but to start bringing in many more different TRANCE TALENT to be able to keep up with these other 2 clubs & hope one of these 2 venues get Edgar V back in there more frequently as well.
House music has had its time, fame & fortune in MIAMI. NOW ITS TIME TO BRING BACK TO MIAMI WHAT IT'S BEEN MISSING FOR A WHILE.
TRANCE!!!!!!!
& now that this is happening in miami I have a feeling this will be the chance Grooveeric & IVAN aka DJ RELIK will have to be able to become the next TRANCE LEGENDS of MIAMI & keep it going for a long time....
LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT MOTHER BITCHES!!!!
***If u don't like what I wrote & post any negative remarks or comments save it cuz I can care less*****
TRANCE RULES!!!!!
everything else 2nd best!!!

1. Divine Playground, Miami March 1993
Divine Playground was a definitive edm moment for me as well , that was "the" Ultra frm back then.... meat beat manifesto, utah Saints, Sven Vath, House Of Pain , Rage against the Machine and our very own Stryke were there to name a few..

seen Timo the first time he played here at Shadow Lounge (1999) to a half empty room, right when he had first signed to Hope recordings along w Leon Alexander , saw him shortly thereafter at the first (now yearly) Wmc/Hope Recordings party at Crobar , where he played some of the most
unusual sickest tracks i remember hearing from that time
id say his sound would be best decribed as banging ,techy ,twisted and somewhat abrasive .....

Depeche Mode promises to be a kick ass show, they are as healthy as they've ever been and the new track I heard from their new album sounds like they are in great form...hmmm...tempted to see that one.
I had no idea Raveonettes played Cluture Room...let me know next time there's a good show there, I saw Metric there and really liked the distribution of the place...btw...don't know if you heard Metric but they're coming again soon...they're foken great!
hmm gonna check out metric , look pretty cool,
Culture room is pretty cool venue seen The Cramps, Misfits and alot of "surf-rockabilly" bands also saw The Psychadelic Furs (Love My WAy) earlier this year which was great!!
-
The Raveonettes kicked ass a couple months ago at Culture Room (will be opening for Depeche on the second half of american tour)
saw New Order ,VNV nation , Infusion and a few other bands in Sweden when I was there two months ago , at this great "lolapalooza-ish" festival
im kicking myself i wasnt able to see Keane , really dig thier album
wish the Scissor Sistors would come back down here and play at a proper venue

nothing....grey goose is over-rated

I'll put in a request for the only trance DJ I would like to see...
Oliver Lieb
(although highly unlikely. Good Luck!)
hell yes!!!... Oliver Lieb is one of the early pioneers of german trance along with Sven Vath
