sucks now! i just want to vent that when i first started going there.. which was when tronic treatment moved their parties there, it was fucking great! it was empty except for music heads who knew a good party and went to support good techno dj's.. now it seems as though everyone who doesnt know a damn thing (which happens to every great venue) decides to show up and wreck a decent place!
i never had to deal with scumbags pushing and shoving, girls talking shit about other girls, fight for dancing room or tell off immature, worthless clueless young boys who STILL know nothing about respecting women in a nightclub! can someone tell me why guys still feel it's appropriate to TOUCH women they DO NOT know at 3 am in the morning? do you really think i'll give you the time of day? i liked going to sullivan room because i never had to deal with these kinds of things..now it's just as rampant there as it is at crobar.
dj heather was great! but how could i enjoy her when there's no room to dance and no one's contributing to a good vibe? i had to leave early because it was so crowded..
i'd like to hear what other people thought of that night.. i might have missed an earlier review.

but i just can't wait to buy a new coat.. honestly, however pathetic that is, i love looking for a new winter coat.

i havent been to beach in FOREEVVERRR.... and we're going on saturday. wondering what you wear there and bring there. i'm sure it's the norm but just curious if you bring any extras that work for you.

i wish i had video of me dancing thru the years.,. from being a kid dancing around with friends to being 14 and just getting into the rave scene, thru the journey throughout different genres of edm (from dnb>techno, breaks>house, there was even a little it of trance in there for minute in the mid-late 90's), to danny days, to now.,. i missed the boat on the whole footwork thing.,. i think i was stuck in a k-hole at vinyl with my feet feelin like they were nailed to the ground.,.
it would be quite an interesting thing to see my style evolve.,. that, and i wanna see the faces i make when im dancing.,.

messenger hats, kangols.....(although kangols are always in style..imo) i used to wear them a lot when my hair was shorter and i really loved wearing them and got a lot of compliments when i did but for some reason now that my hair is long i just love showing it off.....now i have a huge collection of nice hats that i hardly ever wear anymore.

when you go out? i've had so many particular staple outfits that when i look back they have turned into my favorites. i could never wear any of them again and i value them for that.

i went shopping yesterday for the first time in a long time... well, shopping meaning i bought a lot of shit and wandered along broadway for about 5 hours. i usually only buy one thing at time and yesterday i had was carrying a lot of bags. it was fun, i bought a lot of nice shit..
but i was wonering how much girls spend on shopping on average? do you make a limit or do you just splurge?

so is the money from this party going to these kids? is that what they mean by "benefit"? if so, that's really cool; i wouldn't mind having some or all of my money helping young kids who are artists..
maybe i should just check out the site..

it's too bright and the ceilings are too high for my taste..
don't like the people there (i'm not into schmoozing by the bar and looking like i'm somebody which seems to be the ideal there)
takes too long to go outside to have a cigarette...
got grabbed too many times the first time i went there; i'm more into small, dark n dirty anyway and crobar is definitely not any of these.

just keep looking to bang the idiots at the bar.. that'll take you places...

night clubs should be filled with people who want to hear good music, dance, and have fun.
people who want to dress up and pick up guys/girls should go to bars with jukeboxes.

without getting into specifics..yes!! i know it's hard, it's great to hear you're off! it's an awful lifestyle that gets the better of us..

it's not the same high...but it does have the same effect...I guess I just wouldn't waste my time with it..but that's for me. I used to shoot dope and I was on meth for detox and maintenance so I kinda have a resentment towards that shit. It was made by the government to keep tabs on the junkies...it's just all fucked up

unfortunate and as ridiculous as it is.. my CRAZY, thick and completely out of control dark curly hair as caused me so much pain and agony that i've been straightening it every day for almost 10 years .. and that in itself is incredibly annoying.

I don't get why almost every reply i've read so far is positive; i personally thought it was terrible from the moment i walked in until i finally left.
i don't know why i went there expecting him to be the danny i knew from vinyl/arc at his best 5 am self, but when i explain his track selection as sell out bonanza that's an understatement. he wasnt being tenaglia the quirky, talented "be yourself" dj i grew to know and love over the years and his overexposure totally ruined any vibe he might possibly still be able to create. and whats with the corny ball drop? he did that last year and it was cool, but maybe that's because i was on k.
which leads me to the absolutely NO vibe, which was expected considering the crowd was completely rawless, just commerical junkies with no appreciation for the avant garde.. i'm not sure if that's the right word, i don't how else to explain how i used to perceive what i felt at danny's parties.
and why even bother complaining about the 40 bucks i wasted. last time i support a burnt out has been catering to the masses.

haha.. omg.. awesome story erin.. it reminds me of when i went to whistle 3.. it was such a mess getting down there and i ended up staying down there for days on some like, crazed escapade full of drugs and randomness.. it was def an experience i'll never forget..
