  1. Sounds SICCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!11
  2. You're better off going to these places during the WEEK, not the weekend.
  3. Doc Martin never showed up that night.
  4. If you go to Aer and Marquee like you claim, why would you go elsewhere? I smell bullshit.
  5. I don't think I need to read more here.
  6. 3000 a weekend night at $30+ per (minimum)....not that hard to figure out. And yes, they do draw that many people.
  7. Save money??? Place rakes in $100k+ a night on the weekends. You really think $2,000 for a band makes them sleep less at nite? And from working there for 3 years, I can honestly say that the majority of ppl there are for the bands and not to hear the same 20 songs that every shore DJ spins. EDIT: the cheap owners save money by cutting off the A/C when it's 90 degrees inside.
  8. more on the boardwalk... I particularly like seeing 12 y/o girls wearing those short shorts with whorish writing on them like "bad girl" or "nice ass" while walking side-by-side with their parents... talk about no class. then again, it's nothing new, but it still boggles me.
  9. pineapple souflee` (sp?) coconut custard pie lemon cake (orgasmic when you get it in Italy) I'm sure there's a lot more.
  10. you GOTTA be joking... Tempts in CAPE MAY? That would be like having a Bamboo in Spring Lake.
  11. Speaking of the Sawmill, when did the pizza prices go up to $20? Last I remembered it was $12 for a pie for the last 10 years.
  12. place has been a shithole since '95. Having the MTV Beach House there was the worst possibly thing to happen. That and having all the inner city kids bussed there with the Water Works attraction. I saw the boardwalk in Wildwood for the first time last week. My god...fucking night and day.
  13. Thursday night you ask? Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero is spinning on your hometurf at Le Souk.
  14. Too much jargon here...way too much. Yo Gabe, you don't to back yourself up man, we all know what you got going and a lot of these peeps are just jealous cuz you do it real, you do it proper, and you do it better than anyone can imagine. You got a life that's SERIOUSLY worth being documented...all these peeps got (the ones that are barking up your tree) is....well....they got absolutely nothing that's worth writing on a rolled-up gas station receit.
  15. scene is FARRRRR away from weak. This week alone you had all these guys in NYC: Frankie Knuckles Louie Vega Laurent Garnier L&B Timo Maas Hector Romero Erick Morillo Fatboy Slim Jon Cutler Mark Farina Donald Glaude Danny Rampling Danny Tenaglia (twice) Lee Burridge If you're talking about Jersey, I have no idea....I just live here...I would never party in this state.
  16. one night in the summer of 2002 at Jenks, he mixed 15 minutes of Darude's "Sandstorm" before people started to get uneasy.
  17. Awesome time out last nite at Avalon...Dave Seaman came correct and was dropping floorfillers all nite...set had mad energy and didn't slow down at all. Mad chill heads all over...and lots of international beauties roaming around. rolled in round 12...not terribly packed, but decent size...prolly round 2000 heads in there...never was there during the limelight years, but the place is pretty dope...about 20 side rooms all over the place...mad chill peeps all over...didn't get any drinks so I can't comment bout that...friendly door people. Now the music...sound was pretty good...I'm no expert in speakers and shit, but it def was thumpin...Seaman's set had lots of energy like I said earlier...none of that spooky trance shit like he had his last GU cd. He pretty much played trancey prog house...each song dropped had some edge to it...did this til about 3,4 AM...then he switched it up and played some commercial stuff...back to back he played 4/4 bass-heavy remixes of sweet dreams and blue monday...yeah, a little cheesey but it was nice to hear something different....then he did some 3rd rate pvd trance and kicked it up again to close out the set. Overall, I had an excellent experience last nite...crowd was very outgoing and friendly...met some chill heads and a few foreign sexies. And there wasn't an SF invasion either...actually a few shirtless guys...but nothing terribly bad. I'll be there again tonite doing some ish...I'll try to take some pics.
  18. I actually got "dragged" into Circa Thursday nite...met up with some babies. I was a little hesitant about the whole northern NJ lounge scene...I prefer to hit up NYC any time. Anyway, it was actually a good time...not terribly infested with the typical NJ crowd, then again, I don't go out here that much. I was surprised by the drinks...round of 3 beers and 2 top shelf drinks for $27...not bad at all. Music was questionable, but some good looking peeps in the crowd.
  19. Can you guys suggest any stores to pick up some 1970's dress shirts and beat-up leather jackets? Thanks.
  20. Gap makes shitty stuff...I would never buy stuff from there.
  21. check out my sex darling...I'm a guy. and sexybitch...this was just an example...I know there are way nicer ones out there...this is just for reference to the type of jacket I'm looking for...besides, some of them are way too fashionable...I'm looking for that dirty western look.
  22. Anyone know of any good stores to get something like this without paying the hefty price? Or do I just have expensive taste and will need to fork it up? This jacket here lists for around $1,100:
