count 1,2,3,4 in your head along with the beat. once you find your start point cue the second record up to the first beat. as the first record thats playing thrugh the monitors hits the 1 beat drop the second record so that the 1's match up. If you do not do this you WILL TRAIN WRECK EVEN IF THE BPMS MATCH!!!

Fuck BPMS they wont help you to learn to mix. I thought they could in the begining till my boy told me the deal. I had a bpm counter on my mixer that I had to cover in order to learn to mix. Labeling your records by bpm is a good idea for dj's who play out and allready know how to mix, like in a club when your rushing to put on the next track... hope this helps email me for clarification.

:finger: to all you fucking smart ass punk kids

thanks alot just i dont see how u know which is the 1st beat out of the loop. If i count 1,2,3,4 in my head of the song thats playing in order to mix it with the second record which i already would have cued at the beginning of the loop with the first beat how can u tell and make sure u dont end up letting the record go on the 3rd or 4th beat out of the loop?

So what your saying mixing the beats will only come together when the loops are matched, so fisrt find the loops then move to the pitch control after that.

  3. Thanks guys aside from the assholes that just feel the need to reply but that just goes to show some people got a little more time on thier hands, but anyways thanks for the advice i was pretty sure there was no secret trick its i just dont see how when my friend comes over he gets those beats on like that but i guess i just need more practice, and you know theres no such thing as real skill when ur a CD-DJ . . . It will never happen to me!!!

  4. Thanks alot everyone for answering my question.

I want information off a CLUB message board and still i cant get a straight answer to my original post, you guys suck, instead i have to have people like this whom share a diffrence of opinion statring an argument because they got affended by what i said, so obviously if its offending you then your opinion is not needed, thank you though.

Who says im an "E-tard" 99% of the time i listen to music SOBER, so u dont got a clue what ur talking about now do u, :blown:

how u u going to determine whats ruining your city and im sure u have never ever done E:laugh:

  6. I have been mixing for a while. When i go to match the beats i put on the head phones and in the head phones cut over to 1 song, get an idea of how fast the beats are going then cut to the other song and do the same(all in my headpones), then adjust the pitch to try and make the beats match. Before i mix though i listen to it in my head phones but the problem is the beats always come off each other and gets confusing on which record is spinning faster or slower to match the beats. Does this sound like a good way of doing it, does anyone have any little tips or tricks, even another method to help perfrect my mixes??

I have heard some people say writing the BPM on each individual record is a good way because then u know exeactly how much to adjust the pitch, does anyone do this??

no one said that i because they dont do drugs i jus said DONT REPLY if u are someone who dosent trip anymore and likes slow crappy tribal and slow house. would u fall in this category? if u do then i dont care what u say or think and i dout anyone like u is gona stop me from partying, Especially on the third floor:)

  8. Hows exit this summer, has it been fun because i havent been there in a while, what time does it start clearing out. And please dont reply to this if u are one of those ppl who dont trip anymore and thinks drugs are bad and like all that tribal and slow house shyt thats out now(arc), please only reply if u like dancing to the hard house crazy synths, hard repetitive bass, etc.

  9. i know everyone says i will grow away from the hard house and into the new better produced type of music like the stuff at arc ,but i like to listen to music becaause i like it and nothing to do with being fvked up, i jus like hard house, what about people like scot project, is he ever gona come to nyc. i wana hear HARD HOUSE, no danny howwells or djs like that, i want people like vicious

and i do like the new stuff its just the older harder stuff is filled with so more energy ratrher than the deep, tribal sttufff.

arc was def the wrong place for me, the vibe was to slow and dull, and until i get older and learn to like thats new type of club music out which is what every1 i know says to me,im stikin to hard house,

and any1 who says there was a vibe at arc it wasnt a very good one, way to slow and not amped enough

  10. where did all the deep trancy vocals, hard crazy house music that makes your adrenaline rush . . music go? I went to arc's year anneversary and the music was too slow and trendy, where did all the crazy raver shyt go, u know the crazy sirens, horns, hard bass etc. like how exit was, what clubs still play that stuff. the stuff i have been hearin lately just dosent keep me goin like the otha stuff
