  1. SMOKIN' JO is awesome as well!!! So is Jason Bye!!
  2. Go to Fabric... then decide... not to knock Twilo... that room had something special about... and it was the best sounding Phazon system but Fabric is the best
  3. I'm just thinking along the lines of Space in the Hamptons. Space is great in Miami and amazong Ibiza, but lasted less than 8 weeks in the Hamptons? How do you take a club like that and run it into the ground? Crobar used to be awesome in Miami and even better in Chicago... I am weary as to how this will fare... Plus, with Spirit opening too. If more and more people are listening to "shit-pop" these days, how will two 2000 person venues playing dance music fare... around the corner from each other?
  4. I think this was in the post, but this has got to be the worst idea ever. Now, it is just gonna be populated by idiots who hope to be on TV, Stupid DJ's who play commericial junk, pretention out the ass to "keep it hot". Just what we need here... another empty "scene" place where no one inside will care about the music, it'll be anything, and everything to get TV ratings... the antithesis of how a club should be run. I hope this doesn't happen. NY nightlife needs a much needed injection, but not like this... Can America get it right, open a good club and keep it open... all the great venues have come and gone... A lot of European clubs have longevity...(not all, but...). We need a great dance party with a great vibe, and great music in a great venue... not another reality TV show!!!
  5. Fabric in London is the BEST!! Twilo was awesome, but Fabric is better!! Stereo in Montreal is nasty too, so is the Ministrys'!! The Republic (Gatecrasher) after the re-install was pretty serious
  6. Did anyone go to see Sonic Blonde at Kenny Castaway's last night. What an AWESOME band. I know most of these posts are for biggere events, but these guys ROCKED last night. If you ever get a chance to see them. GO! Hot, bangin' blonde lead singer!!! What a voice!!! Like a modern day Janis Joplin / Gwen Stefani / Evanescence lead singer cross. WICKED SHIT!!
  7. Whatare you looking for? Parties? LA, SF? Check out RED or DEEP... You could also go to Circus if you are the super club type... That's LA... can never go wrong at the Standard either. SF... DNA Lounge, 2nd Sunday, Wet Party if youare in town for it. Redwood Room is cool, Therapy... Not too sure on the SD scene
  8. Have to disagree with you there... Soundforge is far from the best program you could be using...
  9. Maybe there is a native software MP3 player out there with a master tempo control... Time compress / expand in any audio editing prgram will work... a wave file would be better though... you realize you lose massive amounts of fidelity working in MP3 format... Wave files are also easier ot import into audio editing programs... not even sure Soundforge will allow you to import MP3... don't use it often, nor do I have the newest version of it. Go to Digidesign (Protools), Emagic (Logic) or, Steinberg (Cubase/ Nuendo) and see if they have freeware programs you could download... it'll be easier and you'll be able to manipulate your audio more
  10. I figured you and your fellow guido friends would be staying in mom's house getting fat sucking down Chef Boyardee watching all your Sopranos and Godfather DVD's... dreaming about how your gonna be like John Gotti someday? I know... You got my Cosa Nostra right here!
  11. "You probably like the Vengaboys" No, but I like to party... What a fucking IDIOT! I've logged more hours in clubs all over world than you have getting fucked by your gay uncle... Are you the guy who thoughts house music was cool when he heard the 45 minute JP mix of my love is your love on his first hit of E with all the other meat sticks at the sound factory... Now, you need a belt and wear a throwback jersey, talk like you never made it out of the 2nd grade, spent all you money tricking out your Dodge Neon and now you have no money so you still live with your mom?
  12. What an ignorant thing to say... What I said was directed to you solely... you really are a fucking idiot... shame people like you still exist in this world... Bro, never use that word... NEVER!!
  13. Where did record your sample from? A CD... you could always use the master tempo on your CD player if you have it and re-record the sample... If you download the free version of Protools it might have a time expansion/ compression plugin... couldn't hurt.. it's free, and better... Try Peak as well... or Wave Burner.... you can definitely do it in those... Soundforge is better for edits... I think that was said...?
  14. I'm not talking week to week. I am talking about hearing Wayne Wonder 50 Cent Lumidee Sean Paul Beyonce......... 5 TIMES IN ONE NIGHT!!! You hear those songs multiple times a night from the same or different DJ's. Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on hip-hop... I like it as well. I am just saying you'd never hear "Elements", "Be Yourself", "Heaven Scent" 5 times a night... unless you are Jonathan Peters and then you'd hear it for 45 minutes. I am just saying that all the hip-hop DJ's have little identity, nothing that makes them different from the next guy. I mean all these hip-hop DJ's that play at the hype parties... who are they? Not that it really matters... they are all playing the same records! Sure I heard Rapture week in week out forever when it was hot, but I never heard it played by 2 different DJ's on the same night within an hour of it's last play!!
  15. Hey you big fucking dope... I like hip-hop too. I just don't need to hear "Uh-Oh" 6 times in one night. That was my point you fucking idiot... Another difference it seems is the itelligence of the listener.
