After police discovered a Sydney hotel was selling diluted whiskey, city health inspectors decided to sample and test beer, vodka, whiskey, gin and rum at downtown bars and pubs. Watering down drinks is against the law in the city, carrying with it a maximum penalty of $197,000 fine.
