  1. Junior post twilo is a whole diff sound then Junior now`, teh fact is that he went from packing out SF/ tunnel/ twilo/ ministry of sound etc to not even packing out discotheque on a fri night. If u want to see disco packed go on a night Morillo is there. Junior had his run, but his time been over, thats y hes on KTU now.

so I guess David Morales, Oakenfold, and all the other DJ's that are featured on KTU are has beens.... come on.....

Been to morillo's party and yes it is packed.

But understand that JV is in a way starting over again..... what killed the whole scene were all the fucking guido juice heads who dont know how to control there weak ass drug habits and ruined it for everyone in the scene.....

  2. im a junior fan and agree that he hasnt been the same since twilo but the 2times ive managed to catch him at discotheque were amazing.I think a lot of junior bashing from this board is cause he caters to a gaycrowd. Im a straight guy and i know a few straight junior fans so dont be scared to go and see junior.

whats up silverbull we met at the LLV appearance at Virgin mega at union square..

I have to agree with you as a straight JV fan I dont know what or how I would have approached djing if I had not experienced JV for sooo many years....

Its better to keep the scared homophobes away from this party.....

  3. Junior is the godfather of NYC house music, but hes history books now and u know it, hes not even selling out discotheque on fri's and that place is the size of my room, and hes not the same junior he was@ Twilo, his time been over :type:

you need to go again... cause the times I have been there it has been packed.........

I actually like the smaller venue... it is a more personal experience.....

and his music and style is still uncomparable.... LEARN! Tenaglia is the only other NYC DJ that gives JV a run for his money.....

There are other deeep house DJ's that are insane also but its a different genre of HOUSE!!!!!

125-2577_IMG.JPGIn between working hard on his own "catch 22" imprint, and touring all over the world, DJ Disciple lands in DSR for this special edition of "the Kinky show". one of New York's more influential players on the underground scene, DJ Disciple plays it all from sexy disco to soulful house right through to the harder tribal stuff. His label, Catch 22 Recordings, has been producing and remixing talents from the likes of M & S, Taka Boom, and Dawn Tallman. Other releases from Catch 22 include "Put Your Hands Up" by the Black & White Brothers (his most successful record) and DJ Dove's "I'm Touched ". His first LP, "My True Colors", was declared "Essential" by Billboard Magazine while Muzik described it as "Sheer unadulterated pleasure." Following the success of the album led Disciple to tour abroad. Disciple has played in Barcelona, Oslo, Tel Aviv, Singapore, Ibiza's mega-club Pacha, Belfast, Madrid, and UK's most notorious Ministry of Sound, among plenty other countries. Other creden tials Disciple holds to himself are 'Here Comes The Morning' a collaborative writing he was involved with, which was featured in Robert De Nero's "The Score", plus countless remix works done for Jim Shaft Ryan, Love Tattoos and Samantha Mumbas just to name a few.

DJ Disciple will be making his 3rd appearance on my show this Thursday

  9. Great night for radio, I look forward to this on Sat nites

so do I, but what I dont understand is why they have a DJ that spins house in the afternoon that pretty much trainwrecks every mix.... I would think that if you are a radio station DJ you are going to be on point with your mixes..... but not this kat.....
