  1. SR is probably one of the most important songwriters in house music history,....is song FINALLY is an all times ANTHEM of ANTHEMS, been remix by dozen of heavy weight producers worldwide...is upcoming album on Defected promises to change the course of electronic/dance music, SR is one superstar dj/producer that get the recognition deserved everywhere else but here on the states....not surprise that people on this board never heard of him but probably dance to his tunes many times.... :)

"So, Miami was great weather too. I chilled a lot with friends, went out a few times to check out the club scene. Everything is the same there. Was some cool guest DJ's in town from all over, but I wasn't in total club mode. The local DJ's are quite impressive actually..... Missed Oscar G. but I'm sure he rocked it..... Ivano Bellini was in top shape, DJ CUE (a name to look out for and is very impressive ).. He played a bunch of minimal funky chunky progressive tech grooves, ya know, the kind we LOVE!...

DJ Cedric rocks Crobar, although I love the sound at Crobar, I am not in love with the arrangement of the venue. But it is a great venue that once was a theater. I personally think Dash's Phazon sounds great in there. The acoustics are very good and if it's not played too loud, it really can sound great!

I missed DJ Patrick from Grooveman records, but he gave me a great mixed CD. DJ Karim also warms things up on Thursday's with Cedric upstairs. Cedric does the main room on Sat's. Producer/Engineer turned DJ now Ben Grassini also hitting the tables at Blue on Wed. I missed his set but got there in time to here DJ Cue again. Cue was ON even in that tiny small capacity bar type room! I don't need a huge room to appreciate the music.... DJ Loco Dice (A DC-10 resident) was also heard doing his minimal & techno house set. I didn't get to hear much from other local resident Stephan Luke, but he too is very busy with his schedule and I love how everyone gets along so well. Unless they are all phonies, LOL, everyone has respect and admiration for each other.

DJ's I missed, Jody V., Valdemar, and I never went to Nerve but Friday was Hex Hector and Saturday was Frankie Knuckles. So that was good to at least hear about.

Club eNVy is also starting a new Saturday Gay party called QUEEN, and don't believe any rumors, I am not going to be the DJ at this party or any other until "I MAKE A DECISION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS" which will definitely not be for a while."

" Civilization and violence are antithetical concepts....(people) have

demonstrated that nonviolence is not sterile

passivity, but a powerful moral force which makes for social transformation.

Sooner or later all the people in the

world will have to discover a way to live together in peace, and thereby

transform this pending cosmic elegy into

a creative psalm of brotherhood._ If this is to be achieved, man must evolve

for all human conflict a method which

rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method

    is love......

    (I) reject to accept the idea that man is mere flotsom and jetsom in a river

of life unable to influence the unfolding events which surround him._ I

refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the

starless night of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and

brotherhood can never become a reality.

I refuse to accept the cynical notion that nation after nation must spiral

down a militaristic stairway into the hell of thermonuclear

destruction._ I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have

the final word in reality._ This is why right temporarily defeated is

    stronger that evil triumphant.

I believe that amid today's motor bursts and whining bullets, there is still

hope for a brighter tomorrow._ I believe that wounded justice, lying

prostrate on the blood-flowing streets of our nations, can be lifted from

this dust of shame and reign supreme among the children of men.

I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals

a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity,

equality and freedom for their spirits. I believe that what self-centered

men have torn down, men other-centered can build up......

I still believe that we shall overcome....."

    Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech
