  1. and it was brought back again therefore I asked.
  2. Are you the same tommyboy that spins on sirius satellite radio on the remix channel every once in a while?
  3. The club itself is nice since it's a mix of a dance club with a lounge and there is a variety of music, but the people are another story. It depends on the crowd you prefer really, as someone mentioned, specific dj's attract specific crowds and that very well might have been the case. The dream entourage /crew were nice, no complaints there, and I like that there is the paid parking, no hassle at the door, no waiting in line for hours, security everywhere, mixed crowd - every age, ethnicity, and "supposed" affluence. However, the behaviour and "cookie cutter" nature of many people were such turnoffs that they even made me dislike the venue for a while because I got caught up in the moment (that's why I said it was awful), but the area is shady. Despite the annoying people (too much of the platinum-vip-home club types), I would still go again if someone I REALLY like was spinning. I didn't now the loft had it's own entrance, thanks for telling me.
  4. Are you serious? Will the line-ups change? I wish that place would open.... and they would give a final date.
  5. I went yesterday to hear George Acosta- and it was pretty good (if you like trance) so was Alex Gold at 12.30. However, the crowd wasn't. That place is awful with the most disgusting people, although the loft was much better than the rest of the club. Why is that slum still in business? What do people see in it? I think it's called dream because when you're there, you dream about being anywhere but there. What's up with Sunglasses at night??!!! Almost every guy wore jeans and a white button down shirt-how original Almost every girl had long highlighted hair and wore a ruffly short skirt and heels - how original "Dress to Impress" - impress who? I wouldn't cross the street with those clowns. Even the worst club in nyc doesn't have people like that, at least in my experience. Lots of people walked around for hours with their mobiles on, or having them constantly ring...I didn't know dream patrons were so important. whatever.. different strokes for different folks I guess. I can't wait for glow to reopen.
  6. Ton TB on the 14th - you know 3 drives -that classic song "greece" That's the only thing I'm attending. I can't wait!!!!!! Aug will be dull but sept is FERRY CORSTEN!!!!!! Digweed@Crobar is a little strange considering how it is Crobar-it seems more a place for jr, but I'm looking forward to it,
  7. I thought for a dj as big as tiesto, tickets would sell out in advance like a week or 2 earlier. pvd sells out very early and tiesto is way better IMO. selling out the night of at 10 pm seems insulting to tiesto considering how he's well....TIESTO! is the crowd normally that mixed? there were all kinds of people, all ages, ethnicities, trendy, non-trendy, etc there which was cool. Before when I used to go, it was largely annoying ravers saying 'plur this plur that' and big drug problems in the newspaper.
  8. insane it was for sure...what a night and the crowd wasn't bad at all. is the vibe normally that good at buzz? what about the people? why did it sell out so late? that's insulting to tiesto. I can't believe it was only $25. that was the warm up for some more trance...
  9. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! ferry corsten on my b-day!!!! awesome!!!!!!!! any chance of victor dinaire?????? pretty please? this will be one good summer. thank you glow crew for bringing trance back to dc!!!!!! I heard it's 21+, another big THANK YOU if it's true inshalla.
  10. that was one amazing night, any tiesto fan that didn't go truly missed out. all I can say is WOW!! the vibe was great and the crowd was mixed. few ravers. not that many drunk idiots. quite a number of wanna be guidos but they're like 5 yrs behind in fashion and don't look good enough. if you must remove your shirt, at least have some muscles. nation for some reason seems much smaller. what a night..... buzz really improved. it used to be packed with silly little ravers but not any more. that fisherspooner ladytron section upstairs is kind of neat too. I can't wait until tiesto comes again. and glow is reopening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trance is back!!! ya salam.
  11. metal mickey or perhaps a dalek... AI fun.
  12. like I said "If your bkgd is technical I could elaborate in those terms." ...which I wouldn't have done but someone made statements that made no sense and generalized as well so I had to justify / elaborate on my comments. It's actually a basic straight-forward concept / code if your bkgd is technical or mathematical. I also had to parse one of the arguments. where did this come from? if you go back and trace through the threads, you'll see where. anyway...it's all in good fun. this whole thread took a left term. ..."The Blue Angel" is coming on tcm tonight!! excellent film IMO. Marlene Dietrich...what an actress.
  13. Huh???? you're not making any sense. You can't mix personal opinion with character comparisons. cs deals with discrete elements, NOT opinions. In my last post, I was referring to equalsIgnoreCase() and strcmp(). hmm..I assume your bkgd isn't technical, which is why you made your statement and why you didn't get the implications of the 2 f(x)'s above. In any case, syntactically (sp?) your statement would generate a compiler error, it should be: if ( "cs" != "fun" ) && ("cs" != "good-time") return (false); else return (true); If you are implying that cs is programming because I mentioned char array and strings, you clearly are unaware of the breadth of computer science. there is computer architecture, algorithm analyses, cs theory, (not all of those classes involve programming) etc and a ton of math and electrical engineering. "totally true"? you shouldn't generalize as diff people have diff opinions. I think cs is fun and I have a good time with it. since there is an exception to your statement (my disagreeing opinion), your statement is not "totally" true...(predicate logic).
  14. thanks, i never paid attention to that section, i just check the the dc section once in a while. cp dc is a ghost town now, there aren't even club mentions unless it's buzz / cubik / whatever it's called now. eggmok- 1 person asked me. It doesn't make any sense at all logically because the string / character array "theblueangel" != "blueangel". If your bkgd is technical I could elaborate in those terms. same rational: iraq != iran 1 character of a difference although this has 3.
  15. there is another messageboard most of the old regular posters that used to be here are there. same posts that one used to find here but all the people know each other so less negative threads and mainly geared towards house from what I saw. it's so dead here because most went there. just like alot of the cp old schoolers went to naughtybooth which is no more.
