  1. anyone have any thoughts/experiences with this? I have been a regular/daily pot smoker for about 10 years now, smoked casually for a few years before that. I have NEVER had any problems handling my high, no matter how much i smoke, how strong, etc....i looovvve my weed and everything about it. Recently (last 2-3 weeks) i have had the odd mini "anxiety attack" i think. My mind starts racing and my heart beats faster and the thoughts that race through my head are usually ones of distress or anxiousness. It hits me most at night, and i've found that alot of nights i don't want to go upstairs to join my wife in bed(i go to bed much later) because i'm afraid of the deathly silence when i do, and my mind starts going, and i end up more awake - Lately i just pass out to the TV. Alot of days i wake up at 4 or 5 am and though i am super tired and want to sleep, i close my eyes and i start to get these panic attacks....so i need to turn the TV on again just for the noise, and i fall asleep to that again. I am wondering if my use of pot has kicked these attacks into gear? I read in Jay Mohr's book about Sat. Night Live people who suffer from panic attacks should not smoke pot - it's a common misconception that smoking pot calms you down. I am 33 years old, so i would have thought i might have had some kind of attack before this....or does it set in at older ages? Anyone?? Like i said, i have been relatively normal in regards to the old noggin'...no depression or psych problems in family. Maybe it's just the January SAD disorder blues, or maybe it has nothing to do with the weed....but if anyone can relate any thoughts, i'd like to hear them.
  2. Between my wife and I, we go through 1/2 ounce per week. (which costs us $130 Canadian) We both smoke it every day, all day, every few hours. If it's crappy weed, we go through more.... I remember reading an interview with Snoop Dogg, and he said at the time he went through an ounce each day...but i'm sure he'd be sharing alot of that with his hommies....so it's hard to say how much exactly he did personally
  3. my wife and i have literally smoked pot almost every day for at least 12-13 years now. (probably gone 10-15 days without in that time). We both started like you, very occasional, then more often, then almost every night, then every night....then you start doing wake 'n bakes on days off and stay stoned all day. Pretty soon, it's wake n bake every day. I work shift work, and if i work at 6 in the morning, i never smoke before work, but if i work at 3pm, i will smoke when i wake up, and smoke up a few times before i go in. You will find that like any drug, you will build up some kind of tolerance, so you will be able to get high, but still handle day-to-day things. I know plenty of others who also smoke pretty much daily...although i think my wife and i are a bit on the extreme end of things. Most people i know can't handle smoking and then going to work...fortunately i have a job that i can do this (graphic artist) Having a puff of weed when you get home every night is no different that coming home and having a beer or glass of wine... I will say though that my wife and i are unabashedly, 100% totally addicted to pot. If we don't have it, we get really grouchy, and can't sleep that well for the first couple of nights, get nights sweats...it's like a mild withdrawal. We love to smoke it, and feel no guilt in doing so.
