my wife and i haven't been to see jr since twilo, but we brought people there who said they didn't like his music, but ended up leaving blown away.

it was a great night.

we got XM for O&A, but the music is good as well, techno on Friday nights, and the advances in portable players is great with XM.

my wife and i always have a good time at Drais when we are in vegas. Last time we were there we hit up teatro on a tues and it was fun and lots of cool people, but the music was not as good as Drais or what i remember of it.

i must agree that harry choo choo's record That Beat was phenomenal. i also liked powerplant, john tejada, and unkle for producers. i thought jay tripwire had some great remixes.

we are going to be in vegas from dec 26th to the 29th, anything good happening.

sorry about the negativity, but my point is that in LA you very rarely get to see a 8-10 or longer hour set. you can't go to a club at 1 am and stay until you want to go home. we were never able to outlast a danny tenaglia set in new york. the afterhours in LA were always expensive and the music was hit or miss. this is why we started having people over to our house or going to other peoples houses that had tables. at least we knew the music would be good.

the whole time we were in LA we heard from people that live there, everything is here you just have to find it. We also found that when we did find it, it was nothing like new york or toronto. we found afterhours was usually best at someones house who had tables.

we used to live in new york and have been in LA and now San Diego and afterhours is usually not that good. We used to go to Last Man Standing but the music is usually hard house. nothing like twilo or vinyl and it is like paying two covers, one at the first place and then another at the afterhours. they say avalon is afterhours but that only means it is open until 4am, not 10 or later like new york clubs, so if you really want afterhours you must go somewhere else.

ifyou are going to do it with someone you care about make sure you have talked about it and both trust each other and are not the jealous types. it can work if you are in a relationship but not for a lot of people.
