Team Shag presents ….
Saturday, August 13:
Mark Verbos
Simple Answer, BPitch Control, sevenseventhree
*LIVE ACID HOUSE PA*
Ignoring traditional values and established methods for creating a career in music has taken Mark Verbos on a journey unlike any other producer, DJ, engineer or recording artists. Mark's interest in music began at a very young age when he began playing instruments and reading music at the age of 5. As a teenager, his interest turned to electronic music and he began playing live sets at Drop Bass Network parties in 1993. By the mid 90's he had released several EPs of his own and began working, as an engineer, in a professional Chicago recording studio. He worked on every imaginable music style, specializing in electronic dance music, with clients including Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ralphie Rosario, Mike Dunn, M Doc, Braxton Holmes, Vince Lawrence and The Final Cut. At this time, Mark started his own label, Simple Answer. In the year 2000 he moved to Berlin to further persue his personal DJ and recording career. he toured throughout Europe as well as Australia. In 2003 Mark moved back to the US, this time to New York and has continued to record and produce other srtists, in addition to his own music. His work with Tommie Sunshineis of particular note, having produced more than 50 remixes and several EPs together under the names [b/]Binge & Purge and simply Tommie Sunshine.
Tim Xavier
LTD 400, sevenseventhree, default, blueline
Tim Xavier, Chicago sub-native, New York transplant has accomplished in a short period of time than most have in their entire career. His vast experience encompasses international gigs and countless solid releases worldwide. Tim recently expanded his talents and started up his new label, LTD 400, in which he slows down the pace and brings his bass heavy, dark sound into the minimal realm. He also runs a cutting studio in Brooklyn, NY where he cuts masters and dubplates, and has been making waves with his fast growing reputation for his loud and crisp cutting techniques.

Line up::::::
Adam Collins
Swag, Euphoria, LHB, Big Chief
Since 1997 Euphoria has been synonymous with the real tech-house underground in America. From our first days as one of the few supporters of tech-house in Chicago until our emergence as an internationally respected label, we have striven to provide the highest quality music we can.
Euphoria Records was launched by producers Adam Collins and Marky Star in the late 90's in Chicago as an alternative to what they saw as a stagnating house scene centered around filtered disco loops. But drawing from Chicago's early days of dark Acid House and the newly emerging deep House sound from South London and San Francisco, Omni A.M. became one of the first U.S. innovators of what is now called "Tech-House." They have become known for banging out dark and chugging psychedelic House that is both hard and deep. Their records hold prized spots in the crates of such innovative DJs as Derrick Carter, Terry Francis, Casey Hogan, Mark Ambrose, Grant Dell & Gareth Oxby, Garth, Alexi Delano, Mr. C., John Howard, "Evil" Eddie Richards, Craig Richards, and Lee Burrage. Marky and Adam have collaborated with a veritable "Who's Who of House," including Tyree Cooper, David Mothersole, DJ Buck and Jay Tripwire on a variety of labels.
Adam Warped
Treehouse Recordings
Adam has turned the tables from Waikiki, Hawaii to Runaway Bay, Jamaica and almost everywhere inbetween. His signature smooth blend of funky, tribal, jazzy, and tech-house grooves has repeatedly won over the most jaded of audiences. Over the past 13 years he has played at countless raves and legendary nightclubs and has also spun alongside such heavyweight dj's and producers as Doc Martin, Dj Pierre, Dubtribe, IZ(Joshua), John Cutler, Pete Moss, H-Foundation(Hipp-e & Halo), JT Donaldson, Sean Cusick, Thomas Wicked, John Howard, Dj Spun, The Chocolate Factory(Onionz, Ryde, Sameer, Joeski), Daniel Wang, Tortured Soul, and many more. His debut 12 inch "Left of Center" with production partner Ben Davidson was released in 1999 on Warped Recordings. His solo album El Gato "Escape from Fort Dodge" is scheduled for release summer 2004. Currently handling A&R for Treehouse Recordings alongside a healthy tour schedule (with recent bookings in Miami, L.A., and San Francisco) Adam is on a mission to spread his sound around the world and back again.
