  1. yes, i did. It was awesome....I had seen him many times at crobar for afterhrs (i think he plays much harder there) and once at Mirage on a wednesday back in December...

Lots of hot people and the drinks were very strong and music was good...cant really ask for much more..oh and the fact that it was 80 degrees out doesnt hurt.

  2. Yea, I heard about this about a month ago..the owners of Disco bought the space b/c they feel their 19th street location cant handle the afterhrs crowd esp, for Morillo. They are rennovating but I dont know what they're doing with the system. I also heard that there will be several un-publicized afterhrs sessions in the coming months with the likes of Sasha, Cox, et al.

I heard it was gonna be Morillo on friday nights b/c they didnt want to interfere w/ JP's Sat nights at Spirit...didnt hear about him jumping ship to factory..but I can totally see that happening of course.

This is gonna be a sick fall season.

  3. This guy was incredible. He has such presence behind the decks for someone as young as him. He was working every single track and was mixing in samples on the fly. He was one of the hardest working DJ's I've ever seen, there wasnt one second he wasn't playing with knobs, tweeking sounds, adding effects and he was jumping around and getting so into it!! One of the best techinically skilled DJ's I've seen. His track selection was awesome and I would have to compare him to combo of Sasha and Sander (funny be/c Sasha discovered Sander and Zabiela). Also, the way he presents breaks is great..it's not choppy like how Howells presents breaks with a definitive 4:4 interruption thats hard to dance to...his breaks have a nice flow and bounce.

Plus the amount of drunk horny and hot girls were incredible. There were these 2 girls completely enthralled with each other and were making out the entire night...I was loving it.

  5. was @ a club this Saturday and watched a DJ clear the dance floor with their new song Flashdance....

It was pretty damn funny... They had the crowd going pretty good, then about 2 mins into this song, the whole crowd left and went and got drinks...

That pretty funny b/c obviously those people dont know what good music is..that song is so much fun to dance to...Howells dropped it at his last arc set...S&D dropped it at Crobar Sander K a few months back at Crobar and the crowd was lovin in. Roger Sanchez dropped it at Spirit last month too and everyone was cheering. I dont think these guiys would include it in their sets if it didnt move a crowd.

  6. Just checked his website and it looks like he'll be there that friday night.

Wow, now there is a solid month of top notch DJ' sspinning when I promised myself I wanted to try and avoid the city and not be a crackie.

    Look at this line-up:

    Friday 6/11: Sander K @ crobar

    Sat. 6/12: Tiesto @ Avalon

    Friday 6/18: Sasha @ Crobar

    Friday 6/25: PvD @ Summerstage

July 4th: Carl Cox @ Roxy

    :bounce:

  7. Roger was awesome on Saturday night, not as good as the Space Terrace in Miami this yr but nonetheless on point. His style of house is so easy to dance to and is very happy and uplifiting. This was my first time at Spirit and I was really impressed with the layout of the place and I heard bad things about the sound system...I thought it was fine and I love how the Dj booth is right in front..allows for some great crowd/DJ interaction and Roger def gets into..which is always awesome. Crowd-wise I thought was OK, some of the hottest girls I have ever seen in a club were there...just that everyone was shifaced and was playing ping pong with other people.

He played some great tracks..like Deep Dish - Flashdance, a nice remix of Diamond Life and he dropped this track with awesome female vocals around 230..."I like it when you go to extremes, I like it when you enter my dreams." I need to have that track.

  8. If they are gonna put Narcs in clubs, they should at least do some recon on how to dress and look, and not send a 35-yr old poser dressed in tapered jeans and a Member's Only jacket asking for "bombs" in perfect, mid-west English.

At least find someone to fit the part.

  9. Two of my boys are from Ansonia and I have been out in New Haven a bunch of times...we usually start out at Neat and then head over to Myst (they actually scored Junior over Christmas)...some of the hottest girls I have ever seen in both places.

  10. That is bullshit that you would have to do bottle service or tables to see one of your favorite DJ's. That intices the wrong crowd to come out..not true Tiesto fans, but ones who go out just to "see an be seen"....which makes for a lame-ass vibe IMO. There are places to do that sort of thing in the city, which I like doing every so often, but not on a night like that.

Avalon's dancefloor fits about 500-600 people the most...everyone will be standing around on the balcony.
