  12. True...but we must give big props to the Legendary Keith Haring,he found that spot, and it is he that pressured Richard Grant into hiring Junior.

  15. COLORED PEEPS? You need to get fucking slapped!
  16. Tomorrow is his last night....says he wants to do more producing. Have a feeling Victor Calderone will do the Saturday spot. Shake up in clubland
  17. Junior to plat there once a month on a Saturday. This is from Peter's Message board..... Topic: Wow...I'm traumatized... dj JD Posted: 20-Feb-05 05:21 Edit Mail Profile So Peter left Roxy two tracks into his set last night, and honestly, I don't blame him...I don't want Junior playing a Saturday night at Roxy either...and I especially don't want one of Peter's nights moved to accommodate miss vasquez... but PLEASE Peter...don't leave Roxy for good...your fans need their fix. joe4real Posted: 20-Feb-05 09:52 Delete Edit Mail Profile Are you serious? I knew there was drama in there last night - but I didn't know what was going down? What exactly happened? I mean what a crazy week. First we got ads last week saying Merritt was playing last night - then the website said Peter was - and now your telling me Junior was there? What is the deal? joe4real Posted: 20-Feb-05 11:28 Delete Edit Mail Profile Well let's look at the facts here - yeah - last week - they handed out ads saying Merritt. HOWEVER - I received the weekly John Blair e-mail to my account and it said Peter was spinning this week. So anyone who got that email or went on the roxy website or Peter's was definitely under the assumption that Peter was playing - so John Blair is definitely at fault for false advertising - especially with the email that was sent out late week detailing the events for the weekend. randys92 Posted: 20-Feb-05 11:33 Delete Edit Mail Profile Wow...a few additions to the story here. From what I saw from the stage Peter never put on a record. He never had one queued. The music stopped, got in a huge argument, from what I saw, it was not John Blair, he came later. He kept running up the steps saying it was bullshit. John came tried to calm him down. Peter turned up the lights and said, "The show is over", grabbed the records and walked out. John then said, "Peter walked out, not to worry Merrit was going to DJ". Needless to say, just a little pissed. dj JD Posted: 20-Feb-05 11:56 Delete Edit Mail Profile How about some reality... Merritt opened the night. Peter went on, and was in the middle of his second track when he stopped. The arguing between Peter and John Blair actually started in the office of Roxy, then continued in the booth after Peter stopped... And JUNIOR is the reason for the fight, so he most definitely should be included in this. Peter was upset because they wanted to move one of HIS Saturday nights to accommadate Junior playing a Saturday at Roxy in April. Junior needs to find his own club...Roxy is Peter's turf. [Edited by dj JD on 20-Feb-05 11:57] pussylika Posted: 20-Feb-05 19:40 Delete Edit Mail Profile Did anyone get there money back? I know that if I came to hear Peter and someone else took over, I would not be happy! No offense to Peter of course, it sounds like he left for a good reason. Hopefully this can be resolved. I agree with Dj JD, I need my fix too!! bluefish Posted: 20-Feb-05 22:01 Delete Edit Mail Profile Its OK Peter can headline my house anyday. Smmmmmmooch! Huggz (,,,):-)(,,,) Johnny35NYC Posted: 20-Feb-05 22:30 Delete Edit Mail Profile Junior can suck my hairy asshole. That bitch better stay the f*ck out of Roxy and get her own club. Roxy = Peter's house. END OF STORY. randys92 Posted: 20-Feb-05 22:36 Delete Edit Mail Profile NO REFUND. I asked as soon as Peter stormed out. They say it is Roxy's policy not to give refunds. Kinda pissed me off. Peter is the reason we are there! CURIOUSGEORGE07 Posted: 21-Feb-05 03:23 Delete Edit Mail Profile it all makes sense now.i have not been to roxy in a few months, went specifically there for peter.got there late[around 4 ] the music was quite boring now i know why[peter was not there]the place was not that jumping either,is it like that frequently? or did everyone leave with peter ?if i were peter i wouldnt come back, you deserve a more state of the art venue !or at least demand improvements/upgrades to roxy especially that light system.just because you move a scanner over 3 feet does not qualify as an upgrade.they need to take advantage of that high ceiling and does anyone remember when they closed down for like a year in the 90's to remodel, wasnt it like a million dollars just to panel the walls and put a cat walk in the back? who manages this place? p.s. peter i will follow you anywhere ! ilovepetershouse Posted: 21-Feb-05 03:40 Delete Edit Mail Profile Wow I cannot believe what I am hearing about the buzy going round ... Saturday I was not feeling well and stayed home even though I received the weekly email stating that RESIDENT DJ Peter Rauhofer was playing ... Needless to say I watched the GRUDGE and felt worse after ... But all and all I cannot believe that as a professional resident DJ with a draw that he walked right out after people pay $20-$30 ... I mean regardless of what went down as a 'SUPERSTAR' you have a responsibility to your fans and I am quite surprised that was very unprofessional to walk right out ... I mean everyone has a bad day at work and who the hell likes their boss anyhow, but Peter is lucky that he is doing something that he loves and is very admired for ... I have never been to the Roxy other than to hear the 'Musical Wizard' at his finest ... I don't know what I might have done had I been there but it sounds like I would of missed the walkout since I never come before 2:30am anyhow ... They say time heals all wounds and I am hopeful that these men can reach an agreement of some sort ... I will say that I have been in this club scene for many years and there was a time for Merritt and Junior back in the day but NOW is your time Peter make the best of it and good luck I hope to see you soon ... MUSIC MAKES THE PEOPLE COME TOGETHER ... I hope this does not effect the release of Live at the Roxy Volume 4 we have been waiting forever to have Madonna's Mother and Father released ... Johnny35NYC Posted: 21-Feb-05 10:01 Delete Edit Mail Profile Sorry kids, but Peter Rauhofer has EVERY DAMN RIGHT to walk out. God knows that asshole Junior has fucked over his crowd a million times by playing horribly on purpose to bum the crowd out when SHE has had a falling out from the promoter. Its been well documented. Peter is the ONLY REASON alot of us go to ROXY and Blair better understand that. Peter built up his following from the ground up and deserves better than this. This is the 2nd or 3rd time that Peter's events had an attempted interference from Junior Vasquez who can't seem to keep a residency of his own, even at a smaller space like Discotecque. It is SOOO pathetic when Jr has to vie for a space at Roxy when he has Spirit, the old TWILO space. ROXY IS PETER RAUHOFER'S HOUSE. In case you didn't hear it the first time, I'll say it again. ROXY IS PETER RAUHOFER'S HOUSE! Thats the way we like it and thats the way we want to keep it. Club694ever Posted: 21-Feb-05 10:39 Delete Edit Mail Profile Instead of pushing all this drama, why not wait till Peter comes back and has his own say about all this meeeow Posted: 21-Feb-05 10:59 Delete Edit Mail Profile perfect example of a bunch of queens....desperately seeking drama. let the man (peter) handle his own problems the way he likes it! telling him that you guys love him and support him is probably all that he needs right now! things like "junior can suck my hairy asshole" give a bad name to all gay men! Johnny35NYC Posted: 21-Feb-05 11:32 Delete Edit Mail Profile meeeow... thats just tough. We've been civil the first 2 times that Junior's camp have pulled this stunt. So please take your 'desperately seeking drama' crap elsewhere. Thanks. whitneyhouston2005 Posted: 21-Feb-05 11:59 Delete Edit Mail Profile AMEN! DJNathanAshby Posted: 21-Feb-05 12:42 Delete Edit Mail Profile I'm curious Johnny35NYC where you're getting all your "inside info" from to be starting this drama? When exactly did Ms. Vasquez come into the picture? He has no scheduled April dates at the Roxy as you keep saying. All this drama between the two is all for show. TRUST!!! About a year ago when there was the so-called cat-fight on this and Junior's board b/c of Junior spinning at the Roxy was complete bulls**t....haha. The two were laughing at you guys for eating it up so well. Personally I think the issue had more to do with a scheduling conflict between MERRIT and Peter..not Jr. Anyway..all I'm saying is sit tight and keep a zipped lip until you hear it from the horse's mouth.....and what your best friends girlfriends brother-in-law said doesn't count. -NATHAN videodrome Posted: 21-Feb-05 12:51 Delete Edit Mail Profile let's wait and see what the next move is. jumping and screaming will bring nothing to the table right now, it just makes people look silly. -the new flesh matthewblair Posted: 21-Feb-05 13:55 Delete Edit Mail Profile thanx nathan for your thoughtful insite. i dont think this had anything to do with junior. first of all about 2 years ago junior and peter spun a party in los angeles together. and once again the rumors started...why is peter opening for junior...why doesnt peter spin later. all i could say is who cares...we have 2 of the fiercest djs in one place on the same night. shut up and enjoy. and if you look at peters calendar there are 2 count them 2 weekends in april that he is not even scheduled to spin. so if junior is going to plan a party it most likely will not interfere with peter at all. in my opinion i think everyone should chill out, relax and enjoy the roxy while we have it...cuz from what i understand it is going to be a garage sometime in the near future!!! Johnny35NYC Posted: 21-Feb-05 14:21 Delete Edit Mail Profile Seems a few of you are forgetting about the "Beautiful" party Junior put together at Roxy for Pride weekend. Was that to congradulate Peter for doing such a Beautiful job remixing C. Aguilera? And how about this year on New years eve? An evening which is usually reserved for Peter regardless of whether it falls on a SAT or a FRI. Hmmm. Well, I will ATTEMPT to be an adult and agree that jumping and screaming does really not add anything right now, so yes... I will proceed to keep my mouth SHUT for the next few days (and maybe for good on this board). Hopefully the outcome resembles some sorta justice. Stereomover Posted: 21-Feb-05 15:09 Delete Edit Mail Profile I guess there WAS DRAMA ALL OVER THE ROOM after all... And not in a good way! Besides, this is the club's and Peter's business and no one else's. I advise everyone to just stay out of it instead of assuming stuff. What is this? High school? Peace. S. DJNathanAshby Posted: 21-Feb-05 15:40 Delete Edit Mail Profile As far as the New Years Eve party is concerned....did you miss the post ON THIS BOARD where Peter himself said everything was cool with NYE and that there was no sense having him spin two weekends back-to-back....?!?! Keep the rumors in your head deary. And BTW....Peter was one of the MANY who remixed "Beautiful." His may have been the best, but that doesn't mean he owns the rights to it. This was the exact party I spoke of when I said that Peter and Junior were laughin at all you kids for lapping the "catfight" up like dogs. The tift was just for show...nothing more... The thing about NYC is that it's HUGE and two big names like these should be able to easily co-exist. Instead of saying, "this is Peter's house," why not welcome the supposed change as a great addition to the nightlife that is NY? Having said that, I still stand by the guess that this has nadda to do with Junior.....you still never said where you got this "scoop" did you Johnny35NYC.... matthewblair Posted: 21-Feb-05 15:41 Delete Edit Mail Profile first of all, in no way shape or form did juniors "beautiful" party interfere with peters party whatsoever. and neither did new years eve. im sure it was worked out between the 2 parties that 2 get the maximum amount of $$ that weekend it only made sense to put nyc's 2 fiercest djs together the same weekend. and the same thinking probably went into new years eve also. noone here really knows how everything was worked out but i can only guess that it was worked out between the 2 parties and right now they are sitting back laughing at everyone getting so worked up about something that is probably already resolved. [Edited by matthewblair on 21-Feb-05 15:42] Johnny35NYC Posted: 21-Feb-05 16:13 Delete Edit Mail Profile You guys are absolutely right. I would edit or delete my posts if only I could. I'd like to retract everything I just said. I won't be posting here anymore. Webmaster, please delete my login ID. Thanks. matthewblair Posted: 21-Feb-05 16:34 Delete Edit Mail Profile damn...doesnt someone get tempermental and defensive when someone opposes his view. im sorry i thought this was a board to discuss the good and the bad. its not a matter of who is right or wrong but a matter of my opinion. and noone knows the true story of what really happened for gay pride or new years. all alot of us are saying is that nyc is big enough for both peter and junior. i am a big junior fan but at the same time i am a big peter fan. they both bring something different to the tables. i was the first to complain about jr pulling his diva stunts as i will about peter. we deserve better than that. like i said before...im sure this is already worked out and they are sitting back laughing at us. i just dont understand why peter still has not posted something regarding all of this. i feel that us dedicated fans deserve at least a messagefrom peter himself. whitneyhouston2005 Posted: 21-Feb-05 16:36 Delete Edit Mail Profile hey johnny.... dont go away... your alot closer to the truth than others think. peterlover Posted: 21-Feb-05 17:33 Delete Edit Mail Profile i love peter's music. i live for peter's music. and though each of us has the right to express opinions . . . all this vomit is a COMPLETE TURN-OFF! i'd rather be reading about IIO & poetica again. jesus! Room_21 Posted: 21-Feb-05 17:53 Delete Edit Mail Profile well...if this wouldnt be the perfect time to remix "drama 2005"? and maybe a remix by JV on the backside? videodrome Posted: 21-Feb-05 21:57 Delete Edit Mail Profile i don't know if whitneyhouston2005 is a trust-inspiring login! whitneyhouston2005 Posted: 21-Feb-05 22:07 Delete Edit Mail Profile trust-inspiring or not... im right! videodrome Posted: 21-Feb-05 23:30 Delete Edit Mail Profile yep, whitney might be right...time will tell. nighty night. TimCT Posted: 22-Feb-05 09:03 Delete Edit Mail Profile The most shocking thing to me about this story is that John Blair would even consider having JV back at Roxy after the disaster of this past NYE; it was the single worst night of music that I have ever heard in my entire life and every one that I have talked to about it agrees, including many huge longtime JV fans. For many of us it was simply the last straw and I honestly don't care if I ever hear JV spin again. That John Blair would even consider bringing JV back to Roxy, and taking away one of Peter's nights to do it (IF that part of this story is true), just shows what a complete idiot he is. Peace. Tim P.S. The flyers and the ads in HX said Merritt was spinning this past Saturday; the johnblair.com web site and e-mail said Peter was spinning. It would hardly be the first time that there was confusion between the two. Personally I would have believed the web site and e-mail; they are the most up-to-date. dj JD Posted: 22-Feb-05 09:19 Delete Edit Mail Profile First off -- the Junior info is straight from John Blair's mouth to my ears. Second...notice that all of Peter's Roxy dates have been removed from his calender...very sad. skinny white boy Posted: 22-Feb-05 10:30 Delete Edit Mail Profile looking at the news/tour section and seeing all of the nyc dates dropped has me about ready to slap some strangers. matthewblair Posted: 22-Feb-05 11:52 Delete Edit Mail Profile it is so funny to me how separated the 2 sides are on this peter vs. junior thang or whatever it is. first of all i was there for the roxy new years eve and i would hardly call it the worst night of music or the worst crowd. i have been to the roxy many other nights when the music and crowd was like "night of the living dead" secondly, if john blair is going to have junior spin once in a while when peter isnt even scheduled to spin what is the big friggin deal. quit being pretentious drama queens and accept the fact the there are alot of people in nyc who love peter and who love junior. quit getting your lil panties in a tiffy over nothing at all. personally i dont want junior at the roxy either cuz personally that place is played out, the sound is hardly phazon quality and the crowd is not as pretty as it once was. TimCT Posted: 22-Feb-05 13:04 Delete Edit Mail Profile Please don't misstate what I wrote; I never wrote that NYE at Roxy was the "worst crowd". I said that it was the worst music. Go to Junior's own message board, read some of the reviews of NYE and you will see that even long time Junior fans thought that it sucked ("off night", "just not feeling it", "a 5 out of 10", blah blah blah). And this is on his OWN message board!! And I agree that if John Blair wants to give JV a night every so often, that is his business (to ruin), and I don't have a problem with it. But IF he took an already scheduled night away from Peter (or from any other DJ for that matter) in order to do it, that's just not right. Peace. Tim NoRequests Posted: 22-Feb-05 13:22 Delete Edit Mail Profile First, NYE with Junior was a typical night at Roxy where the music was no better or no worse than any other regular night there with Peter or any other guest DJ - and this is the truth. Statements like "the worst night ever" are just biased exaggeration. In addition, the place was for the most part more crowded than other nights at Roxy. Second, if Peter has actually quit Roxy I would like to believe there were deeper and more valid reasons than these childish rumors about schedule conflicts between the resident DJ, Peter, and another guest DJ, Junior. This is just not a good enough excuse for me. I'm waiting for the offical statement. SSDD Posted: 22-Feb-05 13:37 Delete Edit Mail Profile Let's all sit back and see how this new chapter of RAUHOFER's DRAMA get played out. It will interesting to compare the Rauhofer camps "Official Statement" VS. the Blair camps "Official Statement" on this issue. If it turns out that Peter's dates were Xed by the Blair camp because he walked out when he was supposed to be playing. I would say that JB has every right, it's his party, and he is the one paying the DJ. My 2 cents, walking out was UNPROFESSIONAL, regardless of what the disagreement was about. P.S. Juniors popularity began to fall when he started making demands and walking out on the crowd, right? matthewblair Posted: 22-Feb-05 14:44 Delete Edit Mail Profile very well put "ssdd". i agree with you 100 percent. it was totally unprofessional of peter to walk out but at the same time who knows he could have stayed, been miserable and made everyones night a living hell with his music. it seems that all of the big djs go thru this diva period. you are totally right that junior walking out and making demands and not showing up really hurt his popularity and it has taken him a long time and a lot of hard work to get back to where he is. other djs should learn from his mistakes and peter should not go down that road. on the west coast dj paulo has hurt his rep with his big head and attitude with some of the promoters. i think these djs need to look around and realize that there are many of us newer djs that are just as good if not better ready to step right into their shoes. in the club industry no ones job is secure and peter should realize just how he took over for victor there is someone waiting to take over his spot. it has now been a few days since the incident and since peters webmaster said he was going to post and there is till nothing posted from peter. i just believe that peter owes it to us to explain what happened that night! Paul2277 Posted: 22-Feb-05 16:52 Delete Edit Mail Profile BOOOOO, Peter! BOOOOOOO!!!!! You didn't walk out on John Blair, you walked out on us! The people who support you. Unprofessional and very bad. BOOOOOOOO! I still think you're a great DJ/Remixer, but throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of a set? C'mon. Go play in Miami, I'm mad at you. PS... and the worst part, is that now I'll NEVER get to hear Mimi's new track in da club! NEVER! BOOOOOOOO!!!! THE DRAMA Posted: 22-Feb-05 18:42 Delete Edit Mail Profile Reading some of the comments above proves to me that people feed off negative drama. The funny thing is that some of these people aren't even from NYC and are clueless to the details because they WEREN'T THERE! Being a Roxy regular and Peter fan for years, all I can say is: CONGRATULATIONS PETER! You absolutely did the right thing. It seems like nothing has changed at Roxy since Victor Calderone walked out on them six years ago. What I'm surprised at is that Peter put up with the crap there for this long. We all know very well that John Blair is an egomaniac and one of the shadiest characters in NYC Clubland and has absolutely NO RESPECT for any of the DJ's that play at his venues and contributes nothing to breathe new life into the NY club scene except collecting addresses to improve his mailing list to promote his tacky XL Bar and empty Limelight. No matter if your name is Peter, Victor, Junior or whatever....John Bleah thinks it's all about him and not the DJ. Peter, I'm proud of you. Your walk out the other night was a stand against the "Gay Mafia" who runs our parties (whether we like it or not) and you're the only person who has had the balls to tell them off and it was about time someone did it. Let's keep it real...the money we paid to get in to hear Peter goes into Blair's pocket and not Peter's. Peter, I'm sure if you wanted to you could make a lot more money spinning out of town but instead you chose to spin for your fans in NYC every other week. I know you would never walk out on your fans unless the "mis-management" pushed you to the point that you just could not take it anymore. Maybe we should remind all the crybabies here how John Blair mistreated Victor Calderone first at Roxy then again at Estate. There must be a reason why all the great DJ's who pack a club with their name eventually part ways with Blair. Everyone has a limit to what they can accept and it seems like Peter reached his. Peter, you did an amazing job throughout the years, we came because of YOU and we will follow you wherever you decide to go. Now let's all be patient and wait for Peter's statement. I am sure there are a lot of things to clear up on his end before he gives us details. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post a Reply on This Topic
