CITRIC Label heads, Holosound, return with another original offering, this time featuring NYC’s Rachel Platten. Free You’s vocal imparts an organic touch to it’s deep, progressive groove. The release comes bundled with a big room remix from Josh Harris and a progressive tech interpretation from Chicago’s Nosmo Vs. Kris B.

HOLOSOUND- Holosound drops this new original hot on the heels of “Nightly News†their last release on CITRIC as well as recent Bellarine Recordings EP “This Famous.†With their North2South show on Friskyradio.com (http://www.friskyradio.com) , their monthly club night CITRIC@Vault in NYC and tour dates across North America, Europe and Asia, Holosound is one of Electronic Music’s hottest upcoming talents. Here they deliver a deep, yet accessible progressive track with elements that intermingle to create one of Holosound’s most mature originals to date. (http://www.myspace.com/holosound http://www.holosoundnyc.com )

JOSH HARRIS- Josh Harris has been a staple in the remix world for nearly 2 decades and has remained consistently current and cutting edge every step of the way. Here he takes the original vocal and twists in into a catchy, unabashed big room house banger that pushes unrelentingly from start to finish. With catchy vocal edits, and a well rounded and concise sound bed this mix will hit home in the peak hours of any driving house set.

NOSMO vs Kris B- Originally hailed for their work as Grey Area and their concurrent breakout hit “One for the Road,†Nosmo and Kris B have been on an absolute tear since officially rejoining in early 2007. Here they re-rinse the Holosound vocal into a progressive, intelligent tech-prog bouncer, with amazing percussive drive, swinging stabs and a smooth bass and low end we’ve come to expect from these masters of the genre. (http://www.myspace.com/nosmovkrisb)

RACHEL PLATTEN- Rachel Platten is one of northeast’s leading ladies in the singer/songwriter scene, with residency’s spanning the last 4 years at NYC’s top venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, The Living Room, Cutting Room, Arlene’s Grocery and Paradise Lounge in Boston. FREE YOU FEEDBACK

The groove-focused original mix will be a good set-opener or late-night track while the Nosmo v. Kris B dub is a fun, techier take on the track that will add texture to my sets. Both in my bag!

  7. CITRIC Recordings is proud to announce our third release, "Sinister Habit" - Rami Deejay, is available now. https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/122400/sinister_habit

    sinisterhabitweb.jpg

Rami's been DJing in NYC for over eight years and has worked with Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Harry Choo Choo Romero. While these artists are legends in their own right, the genre similarities between his first track for CITRIC, "Sinister Habit," and the style of house these legends are known for is virtually non-existent. "Sinister Habit" closely mirrors the DJ sound Rami's cultivated over the past several years and reflects his dedication to crisp tech house with just enough soul to win over the ladies. Reverbed bells, white noise and swinging brushed snares build throughout this seven minute dance-floor heater to an ominous organ chord progression that eventually becomes the focal point of the track and brings you smoothly out the back.

We're proud to present this little slice of what CITRIC and New York Tech House is all about. Enjoy ;-)

Def feeling this... Nice & simple clean & techy groove that I know will be devastatingly effective in a club... Nice mix of old house feel with the organ sound but with a modern production feel.

    I'll def be hammering this!

    thanks,

    Timmy Stewart

    Hey there!

I must say I am really diggin' Sinister Habit. It's techy, funky and works really well with the clubby stripped back tunes that have been ruling the floors here lately!
