    looking for some help/advice. i'm travelling to toronto next week for business. my first time out there. anyone know the club scene out there? what are the clubs to hit up? where do the djs spin when they're in toronto? websites?

    also, any other things to see, do, eat?

    i'm also going to be in chicago from california. i have a conferene to host on saturday morning. but i found out that satoshi tomiie is spinning friday nite. never seen him spin and always wanted to, so i'll going to work the next day with visine!!!

  14. Guestlist for Avalon/Rise this weekend?

    i hate to ask, but does anyone know how i can get on a guestlist for this weekend (6/24-6/25) to avalon and rise? a couple friends and i will be flying in from california this weekend and we'd like to hit up these clubs.

    i guess i'm more concerned with rise, since it's a "members only" club.

    any help would be greatly appreciated! :half:

    2) The Mark Ultra Lounge = very nice quiant club. Great atmosphere. Probably one of the best clubs in the ATL (stay away from their hip-hop night, though. Its scurry :cry: ) The main promoter there is SurfaceAtlanta. So check out their site. We have Noel Sanger coming up this friday. ;)

    when is hip-hop nite at mark ultra lounge and what's the website addy to SurfaceAtlanta?

  18. EDM Clubs in Atlanta

    okay, i originally posted asking about the EDM scene of atlanta. then i found a thread that i thought that answered my question.... so i tried deleting my post, but i guess you can't. that's when i just changed the content of my post.

    BUT the post i found was from 2003! which means the content is outdated, especially since people are still talking about backstreet in that thread, which has since been shut down.

    so, i'm going to try ask again... can someone please let me know what clubs there are in atlanta BESIDES eleven50? the weekend i'm going, i'm not too thrilled about the dj line-up. and is there another club that's since taken place of backstreet? 21+ is preferred...

    any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  19. Tiesto in LA on NYE! Ya heard?

    this year, l.a. is going to have the choice of seeing tiesto, or seeing (from what i've heard) a triple-bill of oakenfold, digweed and crystal method. my guess is the latter will be giant's event.

    giant is notorious for their line fiascos. it may take up to an hour before you acutally get in, depending on when you get there. but that's the key, WHEN YOU GET THERE. i usually know what the lines at giant are like, so i make sure my arse is there early so i don't have to deal. the ones that usually bitch about the long lines are the onest that get there an hour or so before NYE.

    last year, giant had oakenfold at the bonaventure hotel. they obviously didn't learn their mistakes from when they were holding their parties at park plaza. the whole idea of having separate rooms is disasterous - reaching room capacity required in-and-out privleges, which meant if you had to go to the bathroom or have a smoke, you'd have to stand in line to get back in once room capacity was reached. and i won't even go into detail about things like parking, hotel guest access, vip areas, metal detectors.

    learing my lesson from going to giant's opening party at park plaza, i passed last year on giant's event and went to avalon to see digweed spin. and i was there till it ended around 8 in the morning... awesome. spundae didn't not have a nye party last year.

    it looks as though giant is retroing back to its traditional nye party format - in the streets. if that's the case, that party will end by 4:00am. no word yet on where tiesto will be spinning. that info will be release 11/1 when tix go on sale. right now, i have yet to commit to a party. i'd do giant because of the dj line-up but not liking that it will end by 4:00a. i'd do spundae because of tiesto and that it'll go until morning, but it's only one dj versus giant's three. decisions, decisions...

    there is a bar in Canton (right past little italy and fells pt) called KISSLINGS that was always a great time and has THE BEST wings down there

    i was just there this past sunday for football....great time

    there's also the espn zone in the harbor also

    is kisslings walking distance from harbor place? i'd rather do a local scene than something that i can do out here in california (espn zone).

    and any recommendations for good times on friday or saturday nite?

    Can someone recommend a good local sports bar, besides Capitol City? Don't want something that's trendy...
