  1. Be careful. Viagra is considered a controlled substance in many countries. A close friend of mine was held at customs and nearly arrested for bringing it w/ him across the Canadian border.
  2. Sean will be playing an intimate set in Studio's reed room on May 11th along with Simon Patterson and Tommy Colontonio (Dj Tommyboy) the party is hosted by our friends Massive NYC who had Sean at BLVD awhile back.. It was originally supposed to be at T-NY but was moved to Studio due to lack of cooperation from T's management. The main room will be trance as well hosted by Tsunami w/ a special live set by S.u.n Project http://www.tsunami-trance.com/

  5. On Saturday May 12th People NYC along w/ Toolroom Records proudly presents TOOLROOM KNIGHTS w/ Mark Knight! Mark Knight Bio - Regarded as one of the hardest working DJ’s in the industry (42 countries in 12 months and a staggering 20 gigs in 1 month!), Mark’s technical ability is second to none, and his DJ style totally reflective of his attitude to production; rather than finding one style and sticking to it Mark likes to keep his sets as varied as possible, playing right across the board, from electro to techno and everything in between. Securing a residency at the infamous Ministry of Sound in 2003 was Mark’s real breaking point - the place where his ability to command and rock a dance floor has since been both tested and truly perfected. In 2004 with a soaring profile and a growing fan base, Mark launched ‘Toolroom Records’ – initially as an output for his own production. As house music returned to its underground roots the label embodied this shift and began re-shaping the scene with its own distinctive sound - the ‘Toolroom Sound’, releasing quality, cutting edge tracks at a time when the scene was lacking originality. In the space of 12 months the label established itself as one of the most respected dance labels in the UK – receiving a nomination for “best breakthrough label†in 2004 at the inaugural House Music Awards, followed a year later with a nomination for "Label of the year" at the HMA’s 2005. DJ SUPPORT FROM - DOWN DEEP - Inspired by the belief that nothing can bring people together the way dance music can, Down Deep (Mike Prieto & Kevin Finn) have been spreading their unique funky house sound throughout NYC and beyond via their own parties as well as numerous guest appearances at some of NYC's best clubs. At any Down Deep event, expect nothing but good music, good vibes, and most importantly ..... expect to get down! http://www.downdeepnyc.com CHRIS LUZZ(BIRTHDAY BASH!) - After rocking the house for us back in November during an opening set for Chris Fortier we were excited to bring Mr. Luzz back for an encore set behing the decks! Fusing together funky progressive house and techy flavors his perfomance is not to be missed! http://www.chrisluzz.com Plus People NYC resident - Ryan Tyas http://www.ryantyas.com This month: Mark Knight Sessions Album Launch, Competition and Hot Mix Toolroom Records March 2007 Podcast With Mark Knight http://www.toolroomrecords.co.uk/podcasts/toolroompodcast01.mp3 SULLIVAN ROOM 218 Sullivan Street Between Bleecker & W. 3rd NY, NY 10012 21+ to Enter Doors Open @ 10.00pm Reduced guest list list@peoplenyc.com Advance tickets http://www.wantickets.com/EventDetail.aspx?e_id=26022 links http://www.toolroomrecords.co.uk http://www.toolroomknights.com http://www.ministryofsound.com http://www.peoplenyc.com http://www.sullivanroom.com

  7. Pig & Dan - Live @ Studio 88 in France 02.16.2007 http://href.hu/x/2ch0
  8. Pig & Dan seem to be the new kids in the underground. But the truth and history of this duo stretches back to the very start of the dance music scene. They both started producing and DJ'ing back in the days of Acid House and warehouse parties. This was only made possible for them both because of their work in major recording studio's making tea for the famous and learning about producing pop records. In these days there were no home studios like there are today and a very limited selection of synthesizers. They both used the time when nobody was working in the studio's (like at five in the morning) to start to produce records using the technology available to them in the late eighties/early nineties. As separate artists they both started to share success remixing and engineering for some of the more well known artists coming out of England and Germany at these times. Both were really beginning to get a name for them selves in and around the music industry, being respected by the mainstream and Dance scene alike. This took these two to a different level all together. Pig + Dan Dan ventured into the world of Drum + Bass and became part of one of the most well known artists in its field 'Intense'. A group that was brought up under the wing of Dj LTJ Bukem and was supported by the likes of Fabio and Grooverider. Dan soon entered into the Dj world and was resident at some of the biggest clubs worldwide. Luckily some people stuck out there neck in those days and believed in searching for new sounds without fear of losing money and face. Igor moved back from Germany to his home land Spain where he was busy getting involved with the ever growing sound of the Balearics and was at the forefront of producing records that people nowadays say was the sound of the old school. His involvement was also essential as a Dj, playing at the underground parties in Ibiza and Majorca enabled him to help educate those who had not yet travelled or experienced the sounds coming from other countries as well as his own studio. Later, Igor put on his own parties bringing together Djs with different sounds and still today are remembered as some of the best nights by many who attended. With all this experience Igor Tchkotoua (PIG) and Dan Duncan (DAN) were getting prepared for a journey that would one day bring them together despite both being brought up in different parts of the world and being involved in different styles of music. One day in 1999 Dan was discussing music to the person sitting beside him on a flight to Spain. Igor was sitting directly behind him and over heard Dan explaining his involvement in the music industry and decided to butt in on the conversation. After the flight Igor and Dan swapped numbers and agreed that one day they should hook up and talk shop. After two years of forgetting that they'd had this meeting in the air, a mutual friend told Dan that he new a cool guy (nicknamed Pig) who produced music. When Dan went to meet up with Pig he walked into a studio/deck room that reminded him of his own set up in London. They talked about how their upbringing was incredible similar, and how they both shared a massive passion for music, but still didn't recall their meeting in the sky two years prior. It was only later that night that they both realised that they had met previously and that Igor was the same guy as Pig. After discovering the past madness, they decided it would be stupid not to get in the studio together. Bingo the start of Pig & Dan! From there it seemed that the sheer velocity of product coming from this newborn partnership needed a place to present their product to the world. After signing a deal with Dutch label, Sadie Records, they began to enter into the market and gain success. This gave the duo a boost and they started to produce two/three tunes a week. They then decided that it would be a good idea to build their own record company 'Submission' and work together with Sadie to create a bigger market. The rest is history. At present they have the likes of Anthony Pappa and Sander Kleinenberg adding their tracks to their new CD compilations, and have found a space in the record box's of many well known DJ's including the likes of Deep Dish, Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Hernan Cattaneo.
