  1. hello everyone..

i recorded a dark house techy and electro set the other day using wavlab and before exporting added a low boost shelf to better emulate how it would sound in a dance club.

the problem is that it sounds great on my end but when played back at a friends house, she says its impossible to turn up the volume due to the overpowering bass in the music. my request is if you have the time to check it out and send me some feedback on what system/speakers you are playing it back on and how the overall sound quality is to you.. the set is downloadable at this link

thanks to anyone who checks it out

  2. Made at Pacha presents a powerful combo of two of the most respected artists in dance music today - NYC house music legend Danny Tenaglia and techno maestro Richie Hawtin join forces for a legendary night of electronic dance music. At first, this unique pairing may seem at odds to their traditional fans, but their mutual love of techno and clubbing make them ideal partners for an awesome night of clubbing where techno is the answer.

Danny Tenaglia’s spectacular marathon DJ sets are driven by his innate ability to connect the music with the dancefloor crowd, resulting in magical life-changing nights. Drawing on his incredible history of music, Tenaglia’s influences range from Disco, Soul, Funk, R&B, House, Latin, Samba, Tribal, and certainly Techno! On this pairing of the night, Tenaglia warns his faithful at Dtourism.com, “Richie is gonna blow the house down until 5am and I'm gonna try to pick up the pieces!†Whether it’s your first time or umpteenth time listening to Danny, he can forever change how you listen to music, go out to nightclubs, and think about DJs.

Richie Hawtin has emerged as a leader in technological innovation and in pushing the boundaries of electronic music with constant reinvention. The globe-trotting DJ and international techno futurist is constantly on the move performing everywhere from 300,000 festival to 300 person dark rooms. spreading his minimal gospel. His new residence in Berlin, the world’s second techno city has been a great source of inspiration and creativity with like-minded artists and musicians. Also based in Berlin, Hawtin’s pioneering MINUS record label continues its prolific output and is a nurturing environment for a new generation of minimalist techno composers and DJs. This June 2007, Minus presents ‘Nothing Much – A Best Of Minus’, an eleven track compilation CD compiled by Richie Hawtin and Clark Warner. The compilation showcases the minimalist Minus aesthetic, and its increasing output and steady impact on electronic music since 1998.

TECHNO is the answer – past , present and future!

  4. Of course he won. You had a ghey campaign on his board and on Myspace to vote him in, and people encouraging each other to make up multiple e-mail addresses to repeatedly vote for him. Ergo, this is bullshit, just like all the other DJ rankings. JP is a washed up farce of a DJ. Compared to guys like DT, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Victor Calderone and many many other quality American DJs, JP is a joke.

your a fuckin joke bro.. hatersss will always be haterss

  5. Ok.... heres the rumor I heard.

That A.J. (the son of Tony) from the Sopranos was there Grand opening night, the supposed "industry night" along w/ the owners of Crobar, and various promoters partying the night away....Seems harmless enough, right? WRONG. Rumor has it the New York Post has pics of A.J. in V.I.P with a bottle of liquor in one hand and a glass in the other (ran in either Thurs or Fridays paper not sure)....Problem is he is ONLY 20 Years old. Bad enough he is underage, but underage with a pic of a bottle of liquor in his hand and the New York Post gets a hold of them...

Could spell trouble for the club...Anyone else hear OR see anything on this?

    dont worry.. cops dont read

  6. >Every grand opening for any major venue has been nothing but chaos. Crobar, Spirit, everything! Long Lines, bouncers being jerk offs & cops everywhere. You all act sooo surprised at the big inconvienences you all had to endure. But to be quite honest...it's nobody's fault but yours for even trying to get in the place on a garunteed night of misery. My advice to all my freinds were...wait a week or 2...DON't go grand opening because it will be nothing but amature clubbers looking to "be cool" and a part of something. So all you people bashing the club because a bouncer was rude, cops everywhere , ect...you knew what you were getting yourself into. The only people i feel sorry for are the ones who actually pre-paid and waited on line, just for the fact they wasted money on a night.

    my 2 cents

my thoughts exactly bro.. thats why i wasnt there =]

  7. the point is.. trance is mainstreem, real house and techno music is underground. its your choice which scene you want to be a part off but which ever one you pick theres no sense in goin around hatiung the other side.. jus say fuck um and go about your day real music will never be like trance and it will never be popular its meant to be underground and will always be that way.

  8. i had a fuckin blast!!!i am one tired bitch right now.Vic was on point all night.i need food and water and sleep...big ups to all the cool str8 peeps..great vibe.im done.

one question. how many pills did you drop while victor was playing? get a clue the vibe was good for you cus you were hopped up on god knows what. learn to appreciate music without drugs and then we can talk.

  9. wow.. sorry to sound like a mean person and all but like the dude sucks hardcore balls.. he prolly sits in front of his comp types in the word tribal on soulseek and downloads every result.. get a grip people when i a dj plays the same beat for 10 hours its time to look for new talent.!
