FREE - Open Mic Style Poetry and Spoken Word weekly evening in Los Angeles. Every Sunday night at 7pm. reply to sundaygreenroom@yahoo.com A few of my friends and I have decided to start our own FREE weekly evening of Open Mic style poetry and spoken word at my place, hosted by people with a love for both. This event is being held at a private apartment and is open to the public. All ages, genders, races are welcome. We will be doing this every Sunday night. You may read poetry, perform spoken word, or just get some things off your chest. What is special about this night is you may read/perform to music if you wish. We are providing specially selected music tracks for this purpose. If you don't wish to read or speak, you can just sit back, relax and listen to others or enjoy the calm environment either inside or outdoors on the patio. If you would like to perform, please let us know so that we can add you to the list, first come first serve. This is an informal setting designed to bring people together. It is in an open mic style, however, there is no actual mic since this is being held in an apartment. ) We will be providing refreshments, chips, cookies, soda and water. Alcoholic beverages will not be provided but you may bring your own if you wish. Smoking on the premises is NOT allowed; this includes the patio. I am donating my home and refreshments to this event so please respect my home and the fact that you are receiving free entertainment in Los Angeles (a rare thing).
