  1. in what way to boris/jp? as in crowd loyalty....i think exacta, tedd peterson, martinez brothers and serge devant are the next big nyc dj as in style of music...peter bailey, richie santana, mario calegari.
  2. chris asta. rooster and peralta next week serge devant the following week jonathan is back on may 11th.
  3. hes not my kind of hip hop dj. i like riz, ace, and sometimes biz markie is good.
  4. i dont blame him walking out on jblair. he does play tribal, and high energy vocals, and electro. he doesnt pigeonhole himself into one sound.
  5. peter and angel are doing the all new gay saturdays @ stereo. angel, peter, tom stephan, offer nissim, and more *69 artists will be playing at stereo
  6. i dont know much for his drama but i was there and i had the best time in a long time. peter rauhofer (drama queen or not) played a blinding set. she had everyone dancing. what i love is that she doesnt use comptuers or efx or abelton or all this technology bullshit. she keeps it old skool. ive met alot of peter rauhofer fans and they are all nice. mind you im straight and never have a problem taking my friends and smoe chicas to hear him play cause im not scared of them. rauhofer doesnt play anywhere else but roxy??? umm spirit..he played at crobar...now stereo. he travels all over the world and has one of the best labels around. peter rauhofer is a legend in the dance music world.
  7. well i guess you guys need to work some things out like big boys.
  8. im absolutely serious with this question. just curious what djs came out with an album that was all his/her productions?
  9. jesus...i lost internet for a few weeks and this is what happens. i will only say this because i think ray has said alot what dj in ny is working on an album that consists of ALL his productions. his debut artist album is gonna be finished very soon. if you dont like him thats fine...everyone has different tastes and i am mature enough and have enough respect for others to know thats OK...but when people start bashin one of exactas fans JUST for the simple fact that yes he likes how he spins it does strike a nerve. its quite childish. let ray give a good review without hangin off every word. this is the reason ny is soo jaded. open up your minds people.
  10. richie (riddler) is a very very close personal friend and hes the first AMERICAN radio dj to play compulsive music releases. thanks to riddler PRIDE was played on KTU over 15 times with his mixes on friday night and i cant thank him enough for being a big support of exactas label. he is a commercial house dj and yes plays some cheesy tracks, but thats because he spins at places like webster hall and mirage. when he has a chance he actually has the music (i know cause i looked in his laptop to see what he has in his library) and the mixing to play a good club set. will he blow your mind away with exclusive unreleased shit..probably not, but thats not a surprise. he plays party music, get drunk and try to find something to fuck kinda music.
  11. he plays 8 hour sets in amsterdam. i read somewhere him sayin he wants to do a 10 hour set only playing his productions. the guy is top notch in his field
  12. was it carl cox that was sooo underground? interview from clubplanet taken before carl played at crobar yet carl cox played shortly after on NYE no less. It’s an exciting time for New York clubs. You’re playing at Crobar again on Saturday, but I’m wondering if Erick Morillo has asked you to play at the new Pacha (in the former Sound Factory space) when it opens in New York? Erick Morillo has asked me, but it’s really difficult for me to get involved in someone else’s club. IF I played Pacha [in New York], I wouldn’t just want to do it to get people through the door. Maybe Pacha would be opened for two or three years and they’d bring me in to compliment that. Crobar for me, since Twilo, has the ability to be the best of both worlds. I’ll be on the floor, onstage, this time at Cobar. I don’t think Pacha will change things that much, because it took Crobar two or three years to earn its reputation and for people to enjoy the club. It had taken Crobar a few years to get the cred that I has now. You have to go to Crobar before you can say you want to change anything about it. Pacha, the music is going to be commercial, but I understand that you have to keep the people happy. In Crobar, you can go off-the-hook if you want to. This is what a lot of DJs like about Crobar. This time, I’ll be playing with Victor Calderone; he’s closing for me.
  13. he will not stop until he is embraced by his hometown.
  14. awsome how gabe always throws out the fact that he throws his parties and where they are at lol. anyways, heard the party was good. a handful of regulars said they didnt appreciate the rudeness of the youth in the club and almost had to do something they never thought they would even think of at a 718 party and that was raise a hand and smack someone. i knew the music would be nothin short of amazing, however the crowds just dont go. dt's crowd is not mainly guidos. i actually think dt's crowd is mainly asian, and then you have a mix of everyone. danny is still huge in the gay scene, and still attract the johnny spikes of staten island. now to say youve never seen so many diverse people in a club before...JESUS! theirs parties more diverse around the corner from my house. anyways. what am i doing still up? goodnight
  15. ray is just supporting a dj. is that such a wrong thing? i never saw jonathan mentioned and dont know why he is being brought into this. let the guy go to his party and enjoy his taste in music. theirs more attention on ray and what he thinks than whats really important and how one of my good friends, someone who i consider as close as a brother in this industry did an AMAZING job as the main act at nyc's number 1 club. exacta you keep doing what you do best and make people dance and show your love of music to people. its in your blood and once again i hope everyone can come out to his next pacha gig.
  16. papi, i told b this...and he was a bit taken back why i didnt say anything about it. people will always hate and hate or just not get what you try to do. you just have to enjoy what he does and thats it. hes not gonna make everyone happy...but know this that he is the small minority that left not happy with the music. i respect his opinion cause i am not brainwashed in thinkin he can do no harm. however saturday he was in rare rare form and i cant wait for his next party.
  17. mouth to mouth with Pride acapella around 5:30 AM....i knew that tune was gonna be LARGE! expect to hear it more often out in the clubs. 12 minutes of techno bliss!!!
