sorry weyes i thought since the topic was related to costumes someone could suggest something to wear. anyways my costume sucked! i was really impressed with the originality of costumes i saw at the parties and clubs over the weekend.

help! i need a costume or some ideas for one! but practically all the costumes you've mentioned are for girls! what are some good costumes for guys?

VENUE: WHITE LOTUS LOCATION: 1743 North Cahuenga Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90028 NIGHT YOU ATTENDED: SATURDAY PROMOTION: YES (1-10, 10 being best) Decore: 10 Buzz: 9 People's Hot'ness: 8.5 People's Niceness: 9 Street Parking: 7 (you'll pay $20 if you park across the street; suggest you look for parking down the next block instead) Cover: $20 (Was supposedly guestlist or dinner reservations only) Worst Thing: Restrooms are too small especially for the women's room. Best Thing: The mostly mainstream/underground R & B music was simply awesome!! One of the best sets I've heard in a while. Would you go back?: Woot x 2! YES YES YES!

the main reason why lines are so long at clubs here or why it takes so long to get in one is because #1, there's just soooo many people going out clubbing and #2, the club is already jam packed with people. clubs by law have to adhere to the maximum capacity settings which the city dictates for a given space within a club and the city of LA does enforce these codes. last fri. night for instance, i was at club ivar and the fire marshal came in to check the capacity. at another club i was at in boston, the fire marshal there came in with the police and literally ordered everyone to evacuate the club due to overcrowding and fire hazard concerns. it's just an unfortunate fact of clubbing life we have to deal with but yeah try not to judge your experience of LA club life based on one bad night or one bad club experience. your experience really depends on the club, location, crowd and the time you go.

People's Hot'ness: 9 People's Niceness: 9 Parking: 10 Very easy parking. Cover: $20 Best Thing: The huge balconies with beautiful scenic views of LA! The balcony is right next to the dance floor so you don't have to go far to smoke or relax. They also have a bar on the balcony. Place was packed. Music (mostly hip hop/r & is good! They also have another trance room. Worst Thing: Dance floor is too small. What would you Change: Enlarge the dance floor otherwise it's an awesome club. Nice atmosphere. Would you go Back: Definitely!

Cover: $20 If you're under someone's name on the guestlist, that person must be present with your group before you can get in or you can just wait in the non-guestlist line to get in. Best Thing: Lounge area is huge! Place was packed but plenty of room to dance, relax and chill. The music (mostly hip hop/r & is top notch! Worst Thing: Dance floor is a bit small. Drinks are watered down with ice. Order 'em with less ice. What would you Change: Make the downstairs smoking lounge a little bit nicer. Inside looks great though. Very modern. Nice lighting. Would you go Back: Fo sure!
