Known for playing long sets at clubs and afterhours parties, Deepak is no stranger to Washington DC headlining venues such as Muse, Five, BeBar, Andalu to name a few. On June 13, his efforts lead him to headline Ibiza, Washington DC's premier mega-club. It illustrates the growing movement of techno in DC, and we are hopeful that you will support a great night. **DEEPAK SHARMA BIO** A deep passion for music, connecting with people, and a love for life are the focus for Deepak Sharma as he continues to grow as a DJ, producer and record label owner. The story of Deepak Sharma’s rise can be traced back to 2001 when as a promoter; he was booking and playing alongside some of the world’s most recognizable talent. One particular night opened the door for Deepak was booking Fabric resident’s Craig Richards and Lee Burridge as Tyrant at his Wednesday night soiree at a lounge in Brooklyn named Boogaloo. The night was a resounding success, and lead to Deepak being asked to release a mix compilation reflective of his style of music and vibe of the venue. Finally, after nearly two years of work, Deepak released Boogaloo. Brooklyn. 3:23pm in late 2004 with music from producers that weren’t well known at the time or a style and sound as popular as today. The compilation received worldwide praise with reviews in leading dance music publications such as De:bug, BPM, Remix, BPM, URB, DJ Times, Raveline, Beatfactor, ClubbingSpain and Sound Revolt. Germany’s prestigious De:bug Magazine called it, “One of the finest mix CD’s I’ve heard in a long time.†Similar high praise came from Big Shot Magazine, who said, “Sharma indulges us in some of the most pristine minimal techno we've heard in ages. This is mandatory late-night/morning after listening. Not since Terry Francis' ‘Architecture’ series has a mix compilation explored the realm of tech-house so well." The release of the compilation opened the doors for Deepak to begin to tour North America, South America and gig in Europe. Besides the numerous clubs, festivals and lounges Deepak has played, one highlight includes spinning an in-store DJ set at Virgin Megastore in Union Square, New York City as promotion for the release of the mix compilation. It was during this time Deepak turned his focus to producing. After the release of the compilation, Deepak met Dieter Krause who also produces under the moniker, Laplaceausoleil and had a track on the mix. It wasn’t long before the two began to work on tracks together, leading to their partnership. Eventually in 2006, Deepak decided to start Hidden Recordings as a means to take their sound to the world. More on Deepak here: http://www.hidden-recordings.com/front_content.php?idcat=44 **ABOUT HIDDEN RECORDINGS** Hidden Recordings (www.hidden-recordings.com) is owned by Deepak Sharma with partner Dieter Krause, and is one of the world’s fastest rising and growing techno labels in the world. Since 2006 Hidden Recordings has provided a wide range of techno to hundreds of DJs and fans. The label’s sound ranges from deep techno to atmospheric chill-out with quirky, groovy bass lines and has been played in big room gigs, festivals, to smaller lounges and early morning terraces. The press has taken notice of the duo’s rising popularity, with DJ Times placing Hidden Recordings on the cover of the April 2009 issue along with a feature within the magazine on the label. AOL Music's Spinner.com comparing their sound and style to minimal techno giants Lusine, Superpitcher, Booka Shade along with Alex Smoke and Gui Boratto. In addition the duo has been reviewed in prominent magazines such as XLR8R, DJ Times, Time Out New York, MixMag (UK), Trax (France) and Raveline (Germany). Global recognition continues to pour in from Europe as the remix of their sixth release produced my Karri O titled ‘Ajaton’ peaked as the #1 download on Germany’s Kompakt-MP3 in December of 2008. Also, they have licensed music to respected UK label Four-Twenty for their Music02 mix compilation. In 2007, Deepak and Dieter beat out established publishing groups and produced music for Singapore's Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency and their client, Heineken Global. Hidden Recordings has seven releases available, with Spain’s Monkey Brothers completing the latest. Forthcoming artist releases include Pablo Bolivar and Lineas De Nazca with Deepak and Dieter on remix duties along with continued releases from the duo themselves. Major digital partners include Beatport, Kompakt, Juno, DanceRecords, Resonant Vibes and Complete-USA handling vinyl distribution. **DETAILS TO THE EVENT** Washington DC's own Rosario and Navbox will be doing the opening honors. ********************** COME ALSO CELEBRATES THE TWINS, TEO AND IOANA'S 30th BIRTHDAY!!

  11. FoundationDC presents Wolfgang Gartner aka Joey Youngman Bio: In the often serious world of dance music, it’s good to see somebody still having a bit of fun. Meet Wolfgang Gartner, or as he's known to his parents; Joey Youngman. At first glance the name Wolfgang Gartner is a fairly recent blip on dance music’s collective radar, but dig a little deeper and you’ll discover a robust discography, amassed by a seasoned veteran of the music industry. Currently residing in Austin, Texas, this 26-year-old California transplant has been producing dance music since he was 11 years old. While most kids were playing Nintendo and after-school sports, Youngman was syncing a drum machine to a keyboard and teaching himself to make tracks. His career didn’t hit center stage until 2003 however, when after a decade of pounding on the industry’s door he landed his first big break and began putting out records. The early years of Youngman’s discography boasted releases and remixes on dozens of respected house labels like Tango, Om Records, Naked Music, Doubledown, and his own imprints; Fetish Recordings & Jackin Tracks. He donned a slew of production aliases including Mario Fabriani, White Collar Criminals, Frequent Fliers, and a few other colorful guises that helped to spice up an exceedingly frequent release schedule. In 2004, Youngman signed onto the esteemed Blue Collar Entertainment roster and started focusing more time on his other passion: DJ’ing. The move sparked a series of global tours and increased his exposure to audiences around the world. To date, Joey Youngman has performed on every continent. From Japan to South Africa, Russia, Ibiza, and everywhere in between, the air miles have stacked up along-side his innate ability to work a dancefloor. 2007 marked a major step in Youngman’s career with the introduction of his new moniker: Wolfgang Gartner. The new name was created to explore a new sound, without feeling confined to the musical boundaries of his previous projects. “I was getting bored with house, with that whole sound,†he says. “I basically hadn’t evolved musically since the late 90's and had been rehashing the same ideas over and over. Something just snapped and I decided it was time for a complete change.†It was apparent from the first Wolfgang Gartner release that Youngman was onto something big. In a period of less than a year, Wolfgang Gartner had landed 3 top-10 singles on Beatport.com’s sales chart, a Pete Tong “essential new tune of the week†on BBC’s Radio 1, two video game licenses, and a plethora of DJ support and accolades within the industry. It was early 2008 when Youngman made the decision to pursue the Wolfgang Gartner project full-time. “It’s so hard to do 2 things really well at the same time,†he says. “I realized that I had to pick something and stick to it. So I decided that this new style is the direction I want to go, and to focus all my time and energy on Wolfgang Gartner.â€

For table reservations please email ramiroslist@gmail.com Ibiza Saturdays Presents: STARKILLERS Flyer coming soon. Nick Terranova. And His signature blend of catchy vocals, booming bass lines and genre-defying range are always in full effect on tour or at his “Dirty Sound†residencies at Late Night Empire in Las Vegas, crobar Chicago, Lizard Lounge in Dallas, On Broadway in San Diego, Bleu in Detroit, and Bliss in San Antonio. The energy and sexiness that are hallmarks of Terranova’s live shows are also his trademarks as a producer and remixer - a dance music “triple threat.†That dirty vocal track your girlfriend keeps singing in the shower? It’s a Nick Terranova production. The Las Vegas native is best known as the man behind the MASSIVE hit Discoteka. The very first track released under his Starkillers alias lived at the top of the Billboard Dance and Beatport sales charts, named an “Essential Selection†on Pete Tong’s BBC1 radio show, nominated for best underground track at the IDMAs, and supported by almost every major DJ out there. But the track’s success simply encouraged the hard working producer to get his ass back into the studio. Terranova has an impressive list of musical accomplishments: he runs the record label Terratraxx that he started in 2002, has produced a ton of original productions and done an equally impressive number of high profile remixes. Done both in his own name and under pseudonyms such as Starkillers, Aftertouch, Terranova, Hi_Lo, and Nick Touch, they include remixes of iiO’s “Rapture,†Stevie Nick’s “Stand Back,†Paul Oakenfold’s “Sex & Moneyâ€, Holmes & Ives’ “8 Letters,†and DJ Dan’s “Rock to the Rhythm.†Nick’s collaborative partnership with close friend (and neighbor) Austin Leeds has been equally successful. The Terranova & Austin Leeds duo have produced a string of hits together, including “Shake Me,†“Rock Me,†“For the Pills,†“Only You,†“Dirty Sound†(Stealth Records), and “Acid Disco†as well remixes of Dario Nunez’s “My World†(Stereo Productions) and Dave Spoon’s “This Machine†(Toolroom Records). They are a dream team on the road as well, headlining numerous “Starkillers vs. Austin Leeds†and “Terranova & Austin Leeds†nights around the world. opening set by ---------------------- DANCHIK & BAZZA ---------------------- Private Tables are reserved for you with service provided by your personal cocktail waitress. His diverse, high energy sets seamlessly blend Baltimore Club, rave, house, and more. He has grossly exceeded promoter expectations from Beijing to Brazil. He's dropped jaws in Milan, hometown to the Crookers. He's headlined highly successful club openings from Bangkok to Dublin. He remains a favorite in Scandinavia, Australia, Canada and countless cities both large and small. Tittsworth sells out in Sao Paulo, providing one of their best nights to date. Shortly thereafter, Titts was invited back to play at the legendary D-Edge and at a Brazilian festival featuring The Hives, The Melvins and more. He performed at Good Vibrations, a 40,000+ traveling Austrailian festival featuring Kanye West, Cypress Hill, The Rapture, Pharoahe Monch, A-trak, Surkin, Sinden, Kid Sister and a myriad other A-list acts. Titts is also no stranger in Asia. He is extremely well received from Singapore to Manila, where he played to 1000+ on a Monday night even. Acquired by AM Only, Tittsworth joins an impressive roster including everyone from the Richie Hawtin and MSTRKRFT to Carl Cox and Steve Angello. Titts sets have been religiously grouped amongst the best in popular tour stop cities. From press appearances to industry events, Titts provides consistently memorable experiences. He has appeared on Finish television, MTV Canada, V TV (Asian MTV equivalent), countless international radio shows, magazines and newspapers. Sponsored gigs / tours recently include Diesel (Hong Kong), Addict, Redbull, Scion, Frank 151 and even a popular Taiwanese restaurant chain. From URB and XLR8R to NME, his production continues to gain high praise. Titts music is a permanent fixture in blogs, charts and the press. Tittsworth has been asked to remix everyone from RNB star Solange (Beyonce's sister) and pop icon Kanye West to disco legend Grace Jones and DNB frontrunner Subfocus. He has gained critical acclaim from Interscope Records, who personally invited him to Will.I.am's house to showcase well-received Titts tracks. "12 Steps," Tittsworth's debut album was recently released on Plant Music (co-owned and released by Stretch Armstrong, the man responsible for breaking many greats, including The Wu Tang Clan, and Dominique Keegan of The Glass). The first of its kind album features original Tittsworth production through unique collaborations with various A-list vocalists such as blog buzzers Kid Sister and hyphy vets The Federation to chart toppers like Nina Sky and Pitbull. Even before its release, "12 Steps" received high praise from Billboard, URB, Fader, Kiss, Radio 1, Entertainment Times and many more. The album continues to have both originals and remixes all over Ministry Of Sound Radio and Kiss FM (London) and more. Most recently, his debut album attracted the attention of licensing requests and Tittsworth's first official publishing offer. ---------------- Gavin Holland ---------------- bio coming soon Private Tables are reserved for you with service provided by your personal cocktail waitress. 17. PLEASE EMAIL ramiroslist@gmail.com FOR GUEST LIST! FREE BEFORE MIDNIGHT w/list for 21+ FREE BEFORE 11:00 w/list for 18+ With opening set by 2 TRIBES (RAY KANG & BARRETT) --------- RICHIE SANTANA http://www.djrichiesantana.com/ & PETER BAILEY http://www.djpeterbailey.com/ ------------ http://www.myspace.com/mindcontrolnyc ========= "To control mind, body and soul through music" is what DJ/producers Peter Bailey & Richie Santana set out to do every time they perform, whether it's solo, or together as seamlessly as if they were one. Named after their peak-hour Stereo Productions smash of the same name, the duo's Mind Control residency started in late 2006 at world-famous nightclub Pacha New York. The party takes a bit of a unique approach in the club world, letting the two DJs tag-team track-for-track as their set progresses. "It allows us to really work off each other, and work off the crowd as well," says Bailey. "Sometimes Richie will play a song, and it will remind me or inspire me to throw up a track that I didn't even expect to play. It has a nice spontaneity to it, and the crowd really seems to appreciate that." But don't think that the sets are disjointed. The crowds at Pacha wouldn't put up with anything but the best. It's almost like, as the name suggests, Bailey and Santana are working from the same brain, or at least the same control center. But how can that be? The two are far from strangers. They've been one-upping each other since they were teenagers in Staten Island, N.Y., spending afternoons spinning hip-hop records in their rooms. Both had innate talent, and an insatiable hunger to learn more. Soon they were throwing their own parties, and cleaning up on Staten Island's mobile DJ circuit. One night they'd play a Sweet Sixteen; the next, they'd pack a nightclub. Fast forward a few years, and the hip-hop heads are now deep into house, both spinning and making it. Remixes like Santana's white label version of the Eurhythmics' "Sweet Dreams" and Bailey's remix of Nelly Furtado's "Say it Right" have throbbed at clubs from Montreal to Ibiza. Together and alone, the two have collaborated with names like Victor Calderone, Chus & Ceballos, Carlos Fauvrelle, and DJ Vibe, just to name a few. And they still have a strong creative affiliation with Stereo Productions, one of the world's most renowned dance labels. This year, they signed with Star 69 to release a mixed compilation based on their infamous Mind Control sets, and will hit the road on an international tour. The goal is to bring the Mind Control experience to every dancefloor across the world, giving all of you out there the chance to "Let The Beats Control Your Soul." ======================================================== For guest list and/or table reservations please email ramiroslist@gmail.com Private Tables are reserved for you and 5-9 guests (depending on the table) with service provided by your personal cocktail waitress. Believe me, I know. - Ack ! ... and now the fine details main room: house / trance / breaks / 4 to the floor dance music DJ MICRO Caffine recordings : http://www.djmicro.com : myspace.com/micro - New York Internationally acclaimed as one of the US's premiere dance music producers and remixers, there are few artists who can match DJ Micro's credentials. Playing alongside East coast DJs Frankie Bones, Scott Henry, Adam X, James Christian, and Onionz, Micro put the New York underground on the global dance map with his energetic fusion of styles which is described by URB magazine"... spiced with rippling acid melodies and plenty of surging drum rolls." With over thirteen years behind the turntables, Micro's versatility and ability to whip dance floors into a frenzy with his smooth mixes and superb sense of groove has made him a dance music sensation. As a natural progression from his success as a DJ, Micro joined with Vicious Vic under the pseudonym 'Progression' to produce a series of hugely successful remixes and original works. The duo became overnight heroes in the international dance scene following the release of their massive debut single 'Reach Further' which became an instant club smash. The increasingly sought after duo were soon commissioned to remix artists from Paradise 3001 and Joe T. Vanelli to Masters at Work, as well as a wickedly groovy remix of the Dado's 'X Files' theme. In 1996, Progression's first album 'Progress Into Our Future' on Sorted Records received an overwhelming response and was described by Mixmag as "seamlessly mixed and a hardcore good time." Continuing to explore new musical horizons, Micro produced a successive string of hits for some of the world's most respected labels including the UK's Open label formed by the Ministry of Sound, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous/Sorted, Adrenalin, and Black Sunshine. With Micro's visibility and reputation continuing to grow, he's appeared at clubs and raves worldwide including tours of the US, Japan, England, Canada, and Brazil. In addition, Micro has produced a number of widely acclaimed mixed CDs including 'Coast to Coast,' (ESP-SUN), 'Micro Tech Mix' , 'Micro Tech Mix version 2.0', and 'Techmix 2000'. (Moonshine). In addition to his extraordinary success as a producer and re-mixer, Micro's thirst for new sounds and a desire to push musical boundaries led him to form the New York underground label Caffeine Records which quickly gained international attention with its top shelf selection of the freshest sounds from US and European artists. The label also spawned the longtime New York weekly club and East Coast dance institution Caffeine, where resident main man Micro rocked energetic capacity crowds. This acclaimed DJ, re-mixer, producer, and label founder once described by URB as the "techno maestro" and by XLR8TR as "unleashing a groove too thick to mention" never fails to conjure an ecstatic night of pumping progressive sounds on the dance floor. House and Disco were styles of music that were entirely new to Terry, but the match was struck. Faithfully listening and recording the then burgeoning Chicago airwaves, his nights during middle school were filled with the finest in Chicago house. DJ's like Farley “Jackmaster” funk, Fast Eddie, Armando, & Mike "Hitman" Wilson, via 102.7 WBMX. His mix tape collection fast became a fixture within his bedroom, constantly taping the shows, studying them. Some called it simulcasted education. Soon after the house scene was all grown up, entered the acid house sound. Here Terry really found solace. It was that added flavor he was waiting for, something new, twisted, and forward. Now all the elements were coming together. And with the addition of the Detroit sound, this was it, three different languages, disco, house, and techno. They could all translate the same message together or apart from one another. This is how Terry is like a translator. With his fluent style, these languages reflect his DJ’ing as well as the tracks he's now composing, which is his way of furthering the evolution of dance music. For the future, Terry is going beyond just knowing his machines. This sound is put to the test on his releases on Robsoul, Funk’d, CHC, Aciiieeed, Kontrast, and on his own imprint Catalyst Recordings. Through his label he has released projects for the likes of DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, Halo Varga, Mazi, Bryan Zentz, Angel Alanis, & TJR, as well as for himself under the monikers, Acid OG’s, Speakerphreaker, Tone Broke, and as Serotonin Project on Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva’s former imprint Definitive which featured Terry’s track “Sidewinder” on the Chemical Brothers “Brother’s Gonna’ Work It Out” Mix CD. Additionally, Terry gained notoriety for his records under the alias Speakerphreaker which includes the largely successful “Products Of Our Environment” EP on Catalyst which was featured on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on BBC Radio 1 in the UK & "La Nina/Nickel Bag Da Funk" EP on Smile which was licensed to several top DJ mix compilations. (Terry Mullan & Halo Varga collaboration). Terry’s DJ’ing, label, and trax have earned him a reputation that extends worldwide. Never one to follow the masses, he borrowed from each genre to create what we all know to be Terry's sound, putting a bad ass twist on an otherwise conservative house scene.
