  1. Somebody told me Vasquez was big in the late 90s.
If you are trying to be a smart ass you should have said 90s, not 'late 90s'.

Junior's time at Sound Factory (early 90s) defined a lot of the sound played today, as well as the DJ who play today (directly or indirectly), but that's maybe something that goes above the head of most clubbers.

I don't care much for Jr these days, but I don't get the bad vibes people are spending energy to create everytime his names comes out.

  2. Yawn?????????????? You are entitled to your opinion....However....u need to bow down and show some respect to the man who inspired Jonathan Peters, Boris, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, and countless other DJ's to become a DJ.....Ask Victor Calderone why he wanted to become a DJ and especially why he wanted to have a mixed (gay and straight afterhours crowd)........cause he wanted to be Junior Vasquez.....So please hunny...don't get it TWISTED....

Funny comment on Junior Vasquez that 'yawn', coming from a "Donald M.", no?

  3. I thought the music was great. I didn't get into DT's second set as much as his first. Danny K was flawless.

I did notice some guidos towards the back but nothing totally overwhelming. People will bitch about anything so whatever. The rest of the club was a pure NYC crowd like I haven't seen in ages (Body and Soul days basically).

Great party. One of the best this year FOR ME!

  4. they are just DJ's ...regular people that have a talent ...gimme a break

same thing with moviestars i really dont get peoples obsession with them ..they are not superhuman or anything ...they shit ..eat fart burp ...sleep ..just llike the rest of us ...

No, really? Who's talking about obsession? A fun little thread about DJs dancing really shouldn't turn into a boring moral lesson ... how about taking things lightly? Eh?

Personally, I really have no real obsession with DJs. My heroes are to be found elsewhere. To each is own.

  5. what is the big deal about seein them dance though ...isnt that why they got into it dj'n anyway ??? love for the music that made them move ?
Well, what's the big deal about a thread about djs dancing?

To answer your question in a more verbose way, given the starification of the Djs it's a fun thing to see them out of their booth way up there and with the rest of the crowd enjoying themselves. No big deal, just a fun thing.
