This event is looking to be a really exciting one. We've been singing the praises of San Fran's top-shelf Om Records for ages, so it's gratifying that the label—which trades in everything from blunted down-tempo material to jack-your-body beats—has lately seen fit to send its stars to our fair burg on a regular basis. This week sees the the Sounds of Om tour rolling into town, with a pair of the imprint's big house-music enchiladas—Kaskade and DJ Colette—taking over the Canal Room. Kaskade has been in NYC before to rep for Om, but for Windy City native DJ Colette, is be her first time in NYC as part of the Om lineup—this May, the spinner/songbird is slated to release her first LP, Hypnotized, for the label.
