    September/October Lineup

    bodylanguagelineup_webcopy.jpg

    Mission Statement:

Body Language is the brainchild of djs Paul Raffaele & Ivan Caraballo. One of our goals has always been to establish a local residency, to showcase our talent week to week as well as being able to offer opportunities to our industry friends. Staten Island was once jammed with good house parties week in, week out, but since 9/11, the fall of club row and just times changing in general, our borough is now more geared toward the bar scene & college crowd. We wanted to change that, and bring a musically-educated, mature crowd to a room here, where we grew up in the middle of the week. Well, we did.

Week by week we're changing how people look at the scene on Staten Island. We found the LAST room and the LAST owner to do this party with & we couldn't be more happy at the outcome thus far. We offer an open bar for ladies from 9-11pm & COMPLIMENTARY admission for ladies all night, which is why we have a 3-1 female-male ratio. Generally the genres range from deep/soulful house earlier in the night with tech-house & progressive in the latter parts (although, genres vary by our guests week to week). We hope to gain your support in the coming weeks, for this party is no flash in the pan.

    Mission Statement

Body Language is the brainchild of myself & Ivan Caraballo.

Approaching Week 12, (party by party) we're changing how people look at the scene on Staten Island. We found the LAST room and the LAST owner to do this party with & we couldn't be more happy at the outcome thus far. We offer an open bar for ladies from 9-11pm & COMPLIMENTARY admission for ladies all night, which is why we have a 3-1 female-male ratio. GOOD PROMOTERS WANTED!

Our party is changing the way people look at Staten Island in the dance community. There hasn't been a successful party driven by house music in 10 years here.

We're looking for motivated individuals who love MUSIC & nightlife to be apart of our team. Whether your an established, experienced promoter or someone looking to get their foot in the door in the industry, or even a popular cat looking to make some extra cash, we want to talk to you!

Even if you don't have the time to dedicate & you still want to help us with email blasts, myspace bullitens, text blasts, or forum posts, it would all be greatly appreciated. Going into Week 11 of Body Language, and the closing of our Summer 07 season, we're looking to hire for the Fall & really make this party memorable.

Please email me at PaulRaffaele@gmail.com if your interested in working us.

    Thanks, Pauly.

  9. see im always down for organization, but i dont think that this is the best way for peoples mixes to be heard. theres so many mixes in here, that if the dj doesnt have a big name, thier mixes get lost in the shuffle ..

as far as my last mix, the one right above this post .. thoughts ? comments ? criticizms? id love to hear some :)

  10. Yeah, on a whim we decided to do a show tonight ..

  11. Yeah, it's been about 5 months since our last mix.

Finally, we give you the March '06 WMC Promotional installment.

Made about 100 copies & plan on flooding that great city of Miami that I will be visiting in just 1 more day.

We took a different route with this one, its very personal.

Starts off with some thick, groovy, electric basslines then some organic drums, bit of percussion & then back to the funk.

Enjoy & please post any comments, feedback, criticisms
