  2. AMP & VISION NIGHTCLUB PRESENT... HOUSEXY XXXMAS Get to Vision Friday December 22nd for Naughty Santa's Ball! We're pairing adult film legends Ron Jeremy and Kim Chambers in what is sure to be their best performance yet...Santa and his little helper! Come by for the meet-and-greet and find out just how naughty you really have to get to walk away with a special adult gift from our twisted Santa's bag of toys! LADY D [D'LECTABLE, SUPERJANE] For a little more background, check these fun facts: Did you know that in 1999 Lady D became A&R for UC Music/AfterHours and for the next two years brought in projects and remixes from Full Intention, Derrick Carter, Gene Farris, Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Dan Curtin, The Pound Boys and Jamie Lewis to name just a few? In more ways than one, Lady D put that label on the map. In 2000, she premiered the mix CD, Naked Kaleidoscope (AfterHours); a critical success and the best selling CD in the AfterHours catalog. She also released her first studio production, "Champagne Lady" (engineered by Glenn Underground) on the AfterHours compilation series Sessions: Vol 2. In 2001 she began collaborating with producer Ron Carroll, lending her spoken word vocals and song writing to two projects that have made their way around the world. "Making Love" (Body Music) made its way into Mark Farina's sets and was licensed to the John Selway CD, "Lightwaves" for Journeys By DJ's. The follow-up, "High Again" was remixed by Felix Da Housecat and licensed to France's Blackjack label. (FYI: She's been a published writer since the age of 7.) Lady D has held a DJ residency in Chicago every year since the year she began! In places like Liquid Kitty, Zentra, Le Passage, Aura, Betty's and more, but her sound has also taken her to destinations such as: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Detroit, D.C., New York City, Seattle, Hawaii, Germany and even Russia! Furthermore, Lady D has appeared with Francois K, Sandra Collins, Roy Davis Jr., or in other words, among some of the world's best. Last summer Lady D headlined a 10-city tour with Slater Hogan (Muzique Boutique) for Mixer Magazine & Gravis Shoes. While this summer she gears up for two tours. One, a cross-country jaunt with vocalist and diva supreme, Dajae, "The Diva and The DJ Tour" promises to be a truly different and exhilarating clubbing experience as they battle it out, tonsils versus turntables, as only two Chicago House diva's can do. Next, a solo tour that plays up to Lady D's most (in) famous qualities: her sexiness and intelligence. Put them together and you've got "The Sexy Mined Tour". Presented by For Love Only, designed for big rooms, "Sexy Mined" is banging House music with a sexy… no, a dirty side. Think DJ Funk on Quaaludes, something for men AND women. For a clue, listen to excerpts of the concept CD, "Sexy Mined Vol. 1: Filthy Animal" at the website www.forloveonly.com. Lady D has a college degree and attended Grad school, but chose deejaying over all, giving her heart and soul with every undertaking. That's probably why she was recognized in Billboard, The Chicago Tribune, iDJ, URB and featured as one of the 30 most influential women in dance music in DMA mag. In addition to other solo spreads, she was featured in Spin and on the cover of XLR8R with her SuperJane cohorts. No stranger to the spotlight, Lady D is prominently featured in two upcoming DJ documentaries, Girl (www.girlthemovie.com) and Midnite Madness (www.urbanvisuals.com/midnitemadness). She also appears in the UK Channel 4 documentary (2002) on legendary friend and icon, Derrick Carter in addition to having cameos in music videos for Thick Dick (Insatiable-2002) and Josh Wink (Are You There-1997). If anyone still doesn't know, she's an Aquarius, a sexy single mom and one of the dopest DJ's you'll ever meet. She's Lady D! Tracy Tobey [AMP, Gramaphone] Tracy is one of Chicago's top tastemaker DJs, as evidenced by her position as a buyer at Gramaphone Records. Her notoriety has been established by residencies at Crobar and Vision, along with appearances in Mexico, Russia and the Virgin Islands. Her smooth blend of tribal, tech-house, nu-skool breaks and progressive have made her one of the most in demand locals; playing alongside Way Out West, Gene Farris, Jimmy Van M and countless others have made Tracy Tobey one of the most requested guests in Chicago. www.myspace.com/angelist Diskokitty [Diskokitty.com, Intergruv, Silent T] Diskokitty is known for her multi-faceted talents in expressing audio pleasures. Lately, she has been acting as head recruiter for the female stage at the Caveman Fest, acting as an AMP resident, and hosting a night with Psychobitch in Chicago once a month. She also makes time for various appearances at nightclubs, lounges, and radio stations around the United States and Mexico. This kitty cat wants to ensure that there is good music to be heard no matter what medium and no matter what genre. Diskokitty, also known as Margot Rudy hails from Chicago. At age 4 she was put in classical piano lessons as she realized music quenched a powerful thirst within her. Diskokitty was exposed to dance music as a young child. "I remember listening to mixes on the radio when I was really young, and coming up with ideas of how the music should be put together". As soon as she went to college she bought her first turntables and mixer and started practicing and brainstorming different concepts and sounds. To her, mixing resembles the the piano in lots of different ways. "You have the left hand, and the right hand playing, just like you have several channels playing. Your mind has to adapt to keeping track of different sounds and rythems, while controlling the dynamics. In the meantime, you have an orchestra at your fingertips and I am the conductor". Some people also refer to Diskokitty as DK. As a time line, one can see the evolution of the many influences to her style. As a young child, break dancing and hip hop was born while disco was transforming into house. After practicing piano, she would go break dance at the local park. Growing up, DK was involved in many musical activities in school including marching band, orchestra, and choirs. Ironically, she states that marching band is her heaviest influence in why she spins drum and bass; because of the cadences. In college, right before she got her turntables, DK lived with a punk rock band, and that is when she got her turntables. Her constant exposure to different music finally manifested itself through a medium in which she was comfortable. Since then, Diskokitty has held several residencies, hosted her own events and weeklies, spun in many states, as well as Mexico and Canada. DK spins regularly at Chicago's hottest night clubs, is featured on both eradiox.com and friskyradio.com and she also makes regular appearances on Chicago public radio: WNUR. Diskokitty is open to all types of events and all types of music. She can be found spinning anything from amen jungle in a dark rave to an eclectic trip hop mix at an art show, to throwing down a house set in a night club or lounge. Diskokitty's next move is production. In the near future, she plans on releasing a collection of tunes of genres including: house, trip hop, funk, and drum and bass. These will include her own lyrics and vocals. www.diskokitty.com Kiddo [Optixmusic.com] Although Kiddo specializes in her own concoction of bangin', tribal, and funky techno, she has been known to throw down sets that almost effortlessly flow from harder beats to more melodic tech-house, minimal techno, and Detroit classics. Occasionally she'll experiment, mixing techno with house, breaks, and even big beat. The sounds of her energetic DJ sets have been compared to, and influenced by the styles of Mistress Barbara, Ken Ishii, and Carl Cox. Her inspiration ranges anywhere from pioneers like Aphex Twin and Underworld; to Techno craftsmen Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, and Speedy J; to UK deejays such as Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx; and to even minimal artists like Matthew Dear. Look for big things from this little woman. Kiddo's sets are LOUD, pounding, and pulsating so you can't help but dance or bang your head. With her eager-to-please, easy-going, laid back attitude, it's no wonder her success is taking off. www.optixmusic.com ________________ NO COVER & $35 Premium Drink Packages all night long! http://www.ampprod.com/rsvp Every week we bring you Housexy in the Lair (minus 1st Fridays)!
