  1. This guy is the real thing!!! I can't believe every time I go out to hear him spin I leave more and more amazed . From beginning to end wasn't a bad track, mix, or blend. EXACTA YOU KILLED IT AGAIN!!! Does anyone know when he is spinning next? All I have to say is WOW I am just completely floored with how good the music was last night.
  2. HERE WE GO!! I have been posting for a while since my Wake up NYC posts about Exacta. I knew from the first time I heard him spin that he WAS THE NEXT SUPERSTAR DJ OUT OF NYC. Everytime I hear him each set gets better the music gets more insane and this guy just simply tears it up. I am expecting nothing but the most insane upfront house I have heard in years on Sat. I am usually too old and tired to get excited about a night or a DJ but to be honest when I see something building and I feel by just going out I get to be a part of this growing movement, it gets my heart racing. I love being able to say I was their from the beginning so once again I ask you all to WAKE UP NYC and come hear what I am talking about. Because this guy is going to bring NYC back to where it belongs as the Mecca of House.
  3. I'll be there from the first track to the last!!! I am actually forcing my friends who normally don't go to Pacha to get their asses to this event to hear what I have been talking about. Can't wait to hear this guy completely blow everyones mind!!!!
  4. Bull, you want a comment, instead of a comment I am making a factual statement. I normally call Exacta an Up and Comming Superstar or Next big thing. After hearing that set at Pacha I am taking up and coming and Next out of the equation. THIS GUY IS A SUPERSTAR!HE IS A BIG THING! Every time I hear this guy spin it only gets better. I think I am going to have to change my posts from Wake Up New York, to Get Ready World!!!
  5. That's what I have been talking about. From what I am hearing he is going to be a very big name very soon. His production is ridiculous, this guy keeps killing it every night I hear him. I think this last set at Pacha was even better than the other two. I will def be at Love to hear what he's gonna spin next. I also saw someone mention about a world tour can they please give more details. Does this mean he's leaving NYC? I hope not.....
  6. Once again I feel i proved my point. Thank you Exacta you went beyond my expectations and really made Sat night something special. If you read these boards I want you to know each time you spin you are building new believers, so please" keep doing your thing and I promise as a fan to keep giving my support. One Love and Much Respec
  7. SIlverbull I am going to listen to Lola's set now. When is or is Exacta's set going up?
  8. i think playing new stuff is important like anythinng else in life. It is why stores and artists always work to have new material. In fashion for example stores work vigarously to be a season ahead. If a store doesnt have the newset and hottest stuff they will go out of business. It is even more so with music. A store puts the newest stuff in the window. a dj or musician does the same.
  9. Like I said EXACTA is the absolute real deal! Played a totally different set than last time and he rocked it. Most dj's play the same sets for month. I never heard most of those tracks before. I have found my favorite DJ! Simply amazing. The energy was awesome and the dance floor was packed till I left.
  10. Thank you Pacha and Bull for bringing Exacta back!! This night is gonna be amazing..
  11. Exacta spinning and Bull is promoting I am def. there. I can't wait for Exacta to blow the roof off of Pacha. This time I am comming with heads. Count me in plus like 20. I can't wait to show everybody what I have been talking about. Much Respec and Admiration
  12. Bull in the first post you mentioned about it going to be an interesting few months and this one you mention aug. specifically. Ya holding out on any good info for us.
  13. Trust me bull this kid is not about boom boom boom. I would never have talked so wildly about any DJ who did that. As for some of the names that you mentioned I have heard Deepspell, Keith Blackstone, Ted Patterson and Hector Romero. And I am telling you they are all great but this kid Exacta has got it. I dont even know if I can put my finger on it but I am telling you he is gonna be the biggest thing to come out of NYC in a long time. Do me a favor, the next time he spins check him out and tell me what you think. I am sure you will get bitten by the same bug that got me. Much respec and admiration, and as always keep doing your thing
  14. What I would love to see after seeing him at Pacha and Asseteria is Exacta at Cielo!!!! I think he would take that intimate setting and make it magical....
  15. I am gleaming with joy to share this post with everyone!! I ranted and raved on the last one about supporting djs and our need to help bring new New York superstar DJ's to the forefront of music. I really know now I was right when I mentioned Exacta. I normally don't go out for the Asseteria party, but when my friend called me and told me Exacta was spinning; I decided to be more than talk and get my ass out there and support the guy who I was backing so fiercly on this board. Once again this guy out did himself. I got there at 12:00 and this kid was killing it. I want to say he was playing dirty sexy house all night but to be honest he kept switching it up with the most seamless mixes of Sexy, hard, and tribal house. I watched this guy control the crowd and they were feeling his every mix. Every track was perfectly placed after another. At about 3:00 when he got off I could tell the difference immediately it wasn't that the music or DJ was bad, I just felt a complete difference in the vibe. I recently watched the documentary Maestro and it seemed again and again the interviewees kept saying the best dj's tell a story through their sets. I CAN CONFIDENTLY SAY EXACTA TOLD HIS STORY. If you had any doubts or have never heard him spin I am telling you, you are missing out on the next biggest thing to come out of New York. Make room on the mantle because this kid is eventually going to be on the shelf with the NYC DJ gods. Much Respec and Lov for all, And thank you Exacta!! You reminded why I truly love this lifestyle and why I listen and live house music!!
  16. Ok here we go.. First off I want to thank all of you for responding to my post. Whether negative or positive I appreciate your views on my thoughts and am grateful for the response. Now I am going to try and clear up what I can, and hopefully some of you that had some issue with what I was saying will at least have a better understanding of my point of view. 1. Danny T. He is local to the extreme: one of the best and most respected DJ's in the history of house music. Now the flip side is, is that he is so big he is bigger than local he is world renowed. So he has far surpassed any one city or style 2. Support: I don't want anyone to do anything they don't want to do or feel forced to do. If I wanted to feel like "the shit" trust me crobar is the last place i would go. You would see me in place like bungolow 8 or cain every other night. The whole point of my post was that I felt that as far as house music and lifestyle New York went from an amazing place to something that doesn't have that feeling anymore. 3. DJ's : whoever posted about Boris : good for you. I want you to like who you like and go hear who you like my whole point is, that as fans of this music and lifestyle we have a responsiblity to not only the city but the world to keep up and continue bringing the best and newest DJS and parties and we have been lacking in numbers and energy for a long time. 4. I go out for fun: Of course you do. If it wasn't fun you wouldn't do it. But its bigger than that you have to understand something we have a role to play and if we dont "support" and show up eventually you will see only clubs spinning hip-hop and trying their best to bring in a crowd that likes it. DON'T KID YOURSELF ITS A BATTLE OF IDENTITY AND WE ARE LOSING!HOUSE IS NO LONGER THE DOMINANT FORCE IN NYC OR MIAMI. ALL I WANT TO DO IS BRING IT BACK. ESPECIALLY, WHEN THE WORLD WE LIVE IN IS SO TORN APART AND SEGREGATED. THE MOST AMAZING THING THAT COULD HAPPPEN IS IF OUR CULTURE, OUR WORLD, OUR STYLE, AND OUR MUSIC PLAYED A MUCH MORE DOMINANT ROLE ON THE YOUTH. YOU WOULD SEE A BETTER SOCIETY. I saw the potential that night at Pacha that why I posted about Exacta, but its much larger than that or him alone. I just think we need someone to take New York and House Music and put us both back on the map and I belive he is the new guy who has the potential to do it. MUCH LOVE AND RESPEC.
  17. First off thank you Zev for responding to my post. Its nice to see someone from a club actually reading some of the boards instead of just posting a flyer. But I am a bit confused. I didn't really know Pacha had residents? Isn't a resident a weekly DJ that people come to hear because for that one night they (for lack of a better word become the hereo of that space)? When I think of resident DJs I think of Junior at the original Soundfactory, I wasnt around but heard stories. Or Junior at Tunnel having Dolce and Gabanna designing his DJ booth. I think of JP at the last version SF. Currently, a resident that comes to mind is Cedric Gervais at Space in Miami. You know that every Sat. night you can go to the patio and this guy takes control and owns the floor. He continues building a following and now has fans that follow him to that venue every week. The club through promotion and marketing makes the DJ the Superstar and the DJ through talent and connection with the crowd helps create the club. Together they create the vibe! I am not claiming to know more than you guys working everyday in and at the venue but this resident thing is confusing to me. S. Bull help me out on this one. Am I correct to say that part of the reason a vibe is created is because you know you can go somewhere every week and a DJ is spinning who you love and are connected to? It's what helps create that feeling of unity and a sense of being part of something. I hardly think a guy who spins at your club once in a while would be considered a resident. I do like the idea of making Exacta a resident I know I would be there to support. Anyway Zev if ya have a sec. mabye you can explain it to me.
  18. I am doing everything i can to make it Sat. I have noticed on many occasions you have a big influenece on this board and your posts get major response. So i urge you to check out Exacta again so you can see what I was talking about. Also I just read your review on Danny and loved it I am sure he was amazing at Stereo but I think you might agree with me that to continue keeping NYC on the map as far as house music we have to start supporting and cultivating our new guys. It always seems to me there is another post by someone about Junior, DT, Morillo, JP, and where each one has def left lasting impressions and will always have a place in my heart. If we want to really build something we really need to have some new superstars and start making them into the next generation of Dannys and Juniors. As fans of more than just the music but the lifestyle and culture of House. I think we owe it too ourselves and to others to start showing the new crop of NYC DJS some major love and support. Much respect and admiration and I admire your work to keep house music and culture alive and exciting. So please keep on doing your thing....
  19. looks like we think alike please read my post about wake up new york. much respec
  20. This Is An Open Letter To Everyone Of My Fellow New Yorkers And People Wolrd Wide Who Come To Our Clubs. I Am So Tired Of All Of Us Running To Hear These Superstar Out Of Town Djs That Come For Huge Money And Force The Clubs To Raise Ticket Prices. They All Play The Same Nonsense Again And Again. Its Time For Us To Develop And support Our Own Superstar!! After Giving This Much Thought I Am Nominating Dj Exacta. I Was At Pacha Last Night And This Guy Completely Blew My Mind. It Was The Best Set I Have Heard In About 6 Years.. He Is One Of Us And A New York Born And Raised Local Kid. I Have Watched Him Grow Through The Years And Out Of All The Djs I Have Watched I Feel He Has The Most Potential To Really Take Us Back To The Days Where It Was Amazing To Go Out!! Be Part Of Something Special!!! And Control The Masses With An Insane Sound. I Am Telling You If You Missed This You Missed Something Special. Its Time To End The Never Ending Tribal Drums We Are Constantly Forced To Listen To From Our New York Guys And Hear Some Of The Most Intense Vocals And Seamless Mixess I Heard Last Night. This Was What sexy Dirty House Is Supposed To Sound Like. I Never Really Post On This Board But I Feel Extremely Passionate About This One And Am Tired Of Seeing And Hearing The Supposed Best Dj's In The World Come To Our City And We Flock Like A Bunch Of Sheep. Anyway I Think You For Spending The Time To Read This And Wish You All Much Success And Love. But We Have To Come Together And Bring Back A Feeling Of What It Used To Be About. Alot Of People Say It And Don't Have A Clue What They Are Talking About But I Am Telling You If You Where There And Heard This Set You Would Sound Like Me Right Now. Let Me Know What You Think And Hopefully You Will Join Me In My New Quest Of Making A New York Dj Our Own Superstar.
