Cool...what track did you name? A Forest. It's a collaboration with Robert Smith from The Cure. There's a snippet of it on the cd's they sent me, sounds horrible w/ the vocals, but the song is pretty good w/o.

on DI last December, they were playing their new CD's, and they held a contest (on DI) to name one of their tracks and you win 2 two-volume sets, and i did! really cool of them, they mailed the cds from germany to me. volume 1 sucked big time. it was all vocal trance, and the songs were all really short (like 2:30), and REALLY cheezy. but volume 2 kicks ass, i listen to it all the time. i think they matured between the sets (about 2 years between), so they're getting better and better. they don't come over to the u.s., so you're gonna have to stick to DI! ;D

Affordable?? Kidding me?? That's one of the highest priced joints I've been to here.

it's such a shame, too, because there is so much property there that is pretty much completely unused. call me a pessimist, but i don't think much will develop. nightclubs/strip joints work, because the clientele (us) realize it's not too risky to go there, but the vast majority of the population just sees downtown miami as really scary.

a new well thought out venue ! Yup, we definitely need more venues downtown. And not just clubs. Lounges, bars, pool halls, whatever can increase business and traffic to wake up that area. If Space and Goldrush alone bought some life to the area, just imagine a couple of more attractions. Economically, it makes all the sense in the world. and don't forget homeless shelters... oh, wait, we already have one there. that part of downtown will never be nice until the shelter is somewhere else.

How's your sunburn coming along? You must've molted a layer of skin by now. I am at the last stages of itching (and hence, the last stages of painful memories of a WMC I missed out on...). I was on a conference call last week and when I left the dude's office I looked down and there was a pile of skin all over the place from my legs...very funny...did I clean it up...no chance... Thanks for the concern! I knew there had to be a funny story there!

ugh. you know, i could enjoy hip hop at a club if they played more than 30 seconds of a song. they must run through at least 100 songs in a night. that leads me to believe that they're playing the same thing week after week, aside from a new "joint" that's "off the hook" (i'm such a gangsta 8)). every time that i've been to space and go upstairs early in the evening, sure enough, i hear gin & juice from snoop dogg. EVERY TIME. that just ain't right.

a couple of points: clark has been in our goverment for 30 years, i think he's been through 4 administrations. i think what he says is probably pretty valid. also, there is absolutely no way we would've killed bin laden before 9/11. a pre-emptive strike against some extremist in the desert? the vast majority of the public didn't know who bin laden was until 9/11. no one would've went for an assassination. of course, everything has changed since then.
