  2. Press Release | Thursday, August 10, 2006 Mixcraft Media, Inc. | New York City - Las Vegas INTRODUCTION Spin Radio Vegas, an affiliate of Spin Radio FM, will be launching this coming fall 2006. We are excited about this announcement, because it will mean a RETURN to internet radio in Houston, Texas...something I have missed for a few years. A little history lesson...If you google "Earthwire houston internet radio" or some assortment of the words, you'll find information about my previous foray into internet radio post 9/11... ABOUT THE SHOWS Spin Radio Houston will be a mirror image of our flagship NYC station. It will feature 4 shows that air 2x weekly (8 shows total): "Hits In The Mix" - new music that WE turn into hits, regardless to it being a commercial song or not. Lots of indie product, new artists and labels with backround info on certain songs. This show will feature a DJ and an On-Air Personality (aka an "O.A.P."). "Dance After Dark" - house music at its finest, this show will feature just a DJ spinning the best dance music new, recent and old from around the world. Very organic vibes, earthy and deep. Sometimes vocals, sometimes instrumentals...Latin, Brazilian and African influences throughout. "Club Anthems" and "Club Anthems Live!" - party music, songs you can dance to and get excited about going out to. One version of this show done in our studio, the other done live at a variety of clubs in Las Vegas and occasionally Las Angeles and San Francisco. A DJ will spin, and an OAP may host. RNB, Hip-hop, house, classics, funk, soul, bass, crunk...mash-ups, remixes and reconstructions like you've never heard! "A Day In The Nightlife" - Theme-driven show about nightlife in all its glory. We'll go behind the scenes and talk to promoters, bouncers, club managers and owners, DJs and of course, the party people themselves. Musically, we'll showcase many new artists, songs and sounds mixed together by a rotating roster of Las Vegas' hottest DJs.An On-Air Personality will host-possibly the DJs themselves. EVENTS Sept 20-24 (W-SAT) - "Vegas Music Conference" @ Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Feb 20-22 (TUES-THURS) - "Mobile Beat DJ Conference" @ South Coast Hotel & Casino OTHERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY! OUR TEAM Forming as I type, there are four primary positions being filled: Public Relations Director...overseeing sponsors, media kits, event production Marketing/Promotions Director...oversees image of the station, event coordination (works with the P.R. Director) Station Manager...oversees day to day operation of the station, show development, industry relationships, reports to flagship Spin Radio FM in NYC, attends conferences, industry events National Representative...our eyes and ears from a national point of view. This person is key in the development of the station generally speaking; works with each of the team managers to enhance the station's image, event attendance; may possibly work with other affiliate stations to develop national programs and promote annual events; keeps up with the pulse of Vegas and brings credibility to the image of the station There are other positions, such as ad sales people, DJs, photographers and promotion partners that are going to be needed on a part time, freelance-oriented basis. COMPENSATION 15% commission for the ad sales, P.R. and Marketing/Promotions Director for sponsors and advertisers closed. The more you generate the more you make. No salaried positions. Because the full team depends on what you do to earn their keep financially, you must be good at what you do in order for this to work. I should note even though the Station Manager and DJs, for example, do not generate money through sales and so forth, they are still important, so again, your role in sales or P.R. is significant. Let me know if you are interested. DJ Freedom Justice CEO/Founder, Spin Radio FM "The Way Music Was Meant To Be Heard!" 4. Spin Radio Miami, an affiliate of Spin Radio FM NYC, will be launching Friday, November 3, 2006. We are looking for FOUR individuals who can be part of this exciting new venture in one of the hottest markets in the country. Spin Radio FM is an internet based radio station. It is based in New York City, and in just 7 months has positioned itself as a force in not only internet radio, but has broadcast at some of New York City's hottest nightclubs, lounges and special events. Spin Radio FM recently partnered with Sound Wave Worldwide, LLC. to produce in-house commercials, marketing and voice-overs in the same manner as commercial radio stations. With the launch of Spin Radio Miami, we'll feature this level of FM-quality in all of our advertisements...something rarely heard in internet radio. We are looking to fill the following positions: PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR: oversees the financial generation of sponsors, sets up an ad sales team (4 people maximum), and develops the image of Spin Radio Miami in Miami, as well as (occasionally) other parts of Florida if and as needed. Creates media kits for corporate and street-level imaging, forges relationships with other media, and works on event production STATION MANAGER: in charge of the station itself. We'll be setting up a studio in Miami, and the Station Manager will oversee its day to day operation, work closely with the NYC team and possibly other cities to develop shows, merge on-air concepts of both shows produced in Miami as well as other cities, and build a team of four top-notch disk jockeys to oversee up to eight (8) shows weekly; oversees live broadcasting, interview scheduling and the hiring of other station personnel including interns MARKETING/PROMOTIONS DIRECTOR: oversees promotion and develops campaigns for niche marketing for the station, as well as companies that advertise and/or sponsor the station, its shows and events WEBMASTER: oversee and develop a fully operational website that directly reflects the Spin Radio FM vision for a multimedia portal, through which all of our station's business will flow There are other positions such as disk jockey, promotion partners and ad sales people (4) that are also needed. Those positions will ideally be filled by the above primary four, but assistance from Spin Radio FM in New York City will be hands-on during the first several months of Spin Radio Miami's development. Due to the nature of this setup being small, though conceptually big, we do not offer any salaried positions at this time. You should know this same campaign is being developed in Atlanta, Houston and Las Vegas, and the response to stations in each of these cities has been very good. COMPENSATION We DO offer compensation, but only the Public Relations Director and Marketing Director-both responsible for the primary generation of income for the station to exist and function-will be paid initially. Due to the nature of our concept, we cannot reveal any more than that here. If you are in AD SALES the same applies; you will be paid commissions based on what you generate. JUST KEEP THIS IN MIND: THIS IS NOT A JOB!!! Nothing about what we do is like any job you’d ever have! Other positions are paid based on the sponsorship sales, ad revenue and events held by Spin Radio Miami. For more information about compensation, please inquire. When you respond, please include your resume, bio, photo and website (if applicable; even My Space pages are fine provided they properly reflect your ability to take on the position you are applying for) so we may review your information accordingly. We look forward to hearing from all of you, and to making Spin Radio Miami the newest form of digital entertainment to storm the beaches, nightclubs, and city of Miami! 8. ...I need a DJ or three, along with someone who loves the scene and has personality to cover the happenings via a live internet radio broadcast there. The station is based in NYC, but will have live feeds on certain shows coming from Dallas, Houston, Miami, Chicago and of course NYC. Other cities may follow but these are the key ones. Vegas is high on my want list. If you have the discipline to be consistent with this, don't mind that there is no pay and love music as much as I an all the other DJs, hosts and volunteered staff do, then this is for you. Until soon, DJ Freedom Justice http://trax.to/spinmyradio spintertainment@mixcraftmedia.com

This thing is fresh out the pack (I'm so old school) but it can always get better. We don't have the limitations of commercial radio so why not! Until soon, Freedom djfreedom@mixcraftmedia.com http://djfreedom.mixcraftmedia.com (I'll announce the station's address shortly! Go to my site for details soon!)
  18. You are the first to hear about this... The Hustle Convention is taking place October 20-22, 2006. It'll be at 3 venues over 3 days (so far). We have a hustle competion, disco DJ competition, and plenty of parties within our 3 nights. There will also be a house music cruise of people joining us for the weekend! If you'd like to know more send an email to socialtravelers@yahoo.com Freedom Event Coordinator, THC
  19. Reggaeton has been around to my knowledge unofficially since the 90's...it isn't a culture except that everyone I have seen doing it in the "hood" is only trying to get a deal. Not much different than the fallout on hip hop going commercial. It's a credible style of music just like house is, and remember house is 4 4 beats with different lyrics or none at all. Every type of music has its morons, and sellouts. House is only credible when its making money to labels, otherwise they can't capitalize on it so they call it underground, say it sucks or a dead art form. Reggaeton won't do what hip hop did when it first came along, but remember what they said about it when it first came out...it won't last, nothing they say makes sense, etc. Now its an industry. Reggaeton artists do house, hip hop, RNB, salsa and even jazz styles (if you do your homework you'd know). I don't support the form but respect music that is respectable. Some of it is but to me, much of it isn't. I did a CD of all reggaeton in September...I decided, in 20 years of DJing, I am not going to start playing it like that now! I love house and classics and soul too much. Plus, I don't speak spanish so I don't know what they are saying. Heh heh. Freedom = http://djfreedom.mixcraft.net
  20. The club is nice...it's going to definately raise the bar for partying here. NYC is starting to get more credible with every new McDonald's club! That is what is happening, you realize. Clubs that come from somewhere else giving us credibility...we set the standard for what is and is not, but it takes imports to make it happen... I'LL SEE YOU INSIDE LOL
  21. =================================================== Hey Dave, how does a DJ get booked? I spin funky and disco-sliced house. NYC, Chicago and Ibiza styles. Very dancable and sexy stuff the ladies love. Freedom@mixcraft.net since I don't know if I will find this post again (I tend to float around the internet a bit) You can check out some of my remix work at http://freedom.mixcraft.net I change them every week.
  22. I'm doing my own parties-a sorta showcase-"Mixcraft In Miami." A double CD also to be given away; I'll print about 2,000 to give away. As far as hotels? Anything with at least 3 stars. No sharing rooms-people are nasty (or wear flip flops) and do not rent a car. Too much traffic. Carry cash and ONE DEBIT card. Don't ask someone for help doing anything more than one question; two or more indicates you are not only a tourist but you didn't do your homework. Or you are trying to flirt. Stay humble and don't drink too much. If you have to wait in line more than 10 minutes you should go somewhere else. If you do this 3 times in one night then either you don't know where to go or they may be spotting you from your last episode. Miami is a great place to meet and network, but realize it is more like NYC with warm weather all year now more than ever. Not as much 'tude but definately a place to party. Hard. Freedom@mixcraft.net
  23. Greetings, everyone! I'm excited to announce the launch of "Mixcraft In Miami." It will be taking place during the Winter Music Conference as a mini-artist and DJ showcase. We are hosting two parties and showcases at Jahzid and a secret location (we have imitators who have waited for us to launch year after year and copied our concept)... We will have tickets available online in a few days-by approximately Tuesday of next week (Nov 29). You can go to www.mixcraft.net/socialtraveler for the tickets. We also have a ticket company that will be carrying tickets for a full party package to not just our showcase and parties, but also to some of the WMC events, like Ultra and the Dance Awards. Obviously there are lots of places to get tickets. I'm not here to make money off those events; I have tickets for the same prices they go for. My goal is to get people to check out my showcases-the artists who will be performing, along with the DJs. They hail from NYC, Houston, and Chicago. Sets range from very deep house to tribal and Ibiza-like disco styles. Something for the sexy people, the old school house junkies and fans of good track-oriented bangers. We are producing two CDs to commemorate the event; One by all of the DJs playing their different styles and one by me, spinning original tracks in the styles described above. You can contact me at (212) 252-2528, freedom@mixcraft.net or go to http://freedom.mixcraft.net for info from me about the CDs and the M.I.M. stuff. For general info about WMC, you can also go to www.wintermusicconference.com DJ Freedom Justice
  24. Been doing this over 20 years, etc. you heard it all before. Or have you? I don't think you have. If you did, you either didn't pay right or you did and got rich from what I did to your dancefloor and decided to retire in the far reaches of Tahiti. Back here on Earth, I am a DJ who has the experience, endless mix CDs and a lot of other stuff I will tell you about when the job has begun and your patrons are happily bopping up and down on the floor, diggin' through their pockets and purses for cash and credit cards to fill up that bar's register... Formats include a rich mix of house, club, classics. That is what I LIKE to play. In addition, I will spin (cause that is what a majority of the promoters want-what a reversal of fortune! urban formats used to get the back room while house and techno got the main rooms...) hip hop, RNB, reggae, reggaeton...a smigen of latin flavors (salsa, merengue) but not much. I don't speak the language and wouldn't want to offend your crowd, though I have never had any complaints. Lastly, if you write to the thread trying to sell sun tan lotion, no stick chewing gum, get-rich pyramid scams and your own parties I will come to your seminar, your party, your sign-up-for-the-special-cream session and take a picture of you (digitally of course) and plaster your image on this thread as a violation of all things pure. Smiling yet? Now pick up the phone and hire me: (212) 252-2528 Oh by the way, I do an amazing thing with remixes. Long, short, radio ready, clean, dirty, all sorts of format crossings.
