Rickards, 24, a defensive lineman, graduated in 2004 and is FAU's career leader in sacks. "Ramon accepted the challenge to come to FAU on the belief of what would come," FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger said in a statement. "He quickly became a teammate and leader who propelled FAU into the Division I-AA playoffs and eventually into Division I-A."
