  2. review of upcoming release - taken from D.O.A LOGISTICS – “NOW MORE THAN EVER” 2XCD – HOSPITAL There have been a load of albums coming in the last couple of years, but for some reason, Hospital snags a lot of the artists who are creating some of the most fondly awaited albums: Nu:Tone, Cyantific, and now Logistics, Nu:Tone’s brother. He’s been on a roll for a while, coming into prominence quickly with tunes like “Space Jam” and the massive “Together”, and apparently has been grinding out about 100+ tunes for his debut album, “Now, More Than Ever”. This opus will be dropped on vinyl as well as 2xCD, which is the true treat. Not only are you treated to heavily-rinsed tunes like “Inhale”, “The Divide” and the bouncy “Beatbox Master”, Logistics takes his style and morphs it over differing styles of DnB. Disc One (“Now”) jumps from licks like “City Life” that have a more sullen, driving vibe to them, while “Everything Is Illuminated”, which has a funky fresh feel to them. We also get to hear some of his own vocal work with “Machine”, and we get a treat in “Cascades of Colour”, which features the Ananda Project on a truly beautiful collaboration. Disc Two is entitled “More Than Ever”, and delves into the grittier side of his sound, ready for the bassbin tracks that are guaranteed d-floor danger. “Time To Give It Up” pairs a deep, woofer bustin’ bassline with some classic old school cut up bizness from DJ Fu. “Juno 6” has a subterranean flair to it, along with crazy percussive elements that bring a nice contrast to the track. There’s so much to mention on these two discs, but the result is still the same: quality, forward thinking DnB for 2006. Logistics brings back some of that “fast soul music” vibe, as well as takes it a few light-years ahead of the competition. You will be doing yourself an injustice by not grabbing the album when it hits your store; contender for one of the best of the year, no doubt. Words by Khal
