Jimm! I gotta come up to your neck of the woods and hang one night... I can't wait for the summer! although the place has been rockin every Saturday, it just gets crazy in the summer months... I try and play some nice House sets... I usually come on at 2am, if there is a guest DJ i usually don't come on till 3/330...its a little harder to work the crowd, but it's been really good lately. Mixx & Mur Mur close around 3/4...Casbah is open till 6am no matter what! people know that if they wanna hang late, they go to mixx or mur mur and hit up Casbah afterwards they can count on Casbah being opened and packed. Plus alot of people are comming over from places like Game On and those other places in the Trop and Pier. Although I'm a bit worried about the NEW PLACE openening in the Trop... Casbah is THE main centerpiece in AC nightlife, not the newest and maybe not the best (depends on who you talk to) but just flat out consitantly great! for 7 + years...you can't argue with that, and it's a very well respected establishment in the business. Casbah does have the OUTSIDE Starbar...which has had a nice Southbeach feel, and last year we played ALL House Music out there. Tony Rone was the resident and Moe and I rotated guest spots! we watched the sunrise @ 5am every Sunday morning with AXWELL & Steve Edwards playing in the background...LOVE IT! Starbar is Def a great compliment to the inside madness! I hope they continue the ALL HOUSE format this year @ Star Bar ...I am the inside (main room) Saturday resident, but they let us do guestspots out there...We'll see? If I do...you can bet, you'll hear some bombs...trust me!
