Gabriel Palomo's passion for electronic music spans the history of his deep roots in rhythm, dance and the arts. Playing the drums since the late 70's and spinning vinyl since the early 80's, he has evolved through the journeys of early New York hip hop, break beats, early Italian Disco, German and Detroit electro / techno to Chicago's acid, house and industrial sounds. Also spinning, DJ Staxx, Sunday resident James Lauer.

Currently, Monologic is made up of Paul Norman (Chicago) and Lee Chameleon (Chicago) and features guest vocalists and live video mixers. Genres can be a bit confining, right? So Tobias, Trancid (Synesthesia) and mg. (Blacklisted) created this "psychedelic power pow electro rock & roll party" to play the stuff nobdy else does, a mix of electro, new wave and Bauhaus-type stuff.
Tonight's guest of honor is Brillante Records band Venue (featuring Brock and Chris May of the Synesthesia cult) performing a live set of red hot electoro rock.
Greg Corner, Trancid and mg. spin while Panic Films plays with the video gear.
This monthly has really taken off, so expect a good chunk of the freak scene letting loose.
The joint has been packed but there's still extra cheap beer and iPod giveaways if you're on the fence about coming.
