  1. Strange you feel this way. Most people agree that Pacha sound system is state-of-the-art. It sounded awesome every time I've been there. Crobar system sounded pretty messy to me - Boris on Saturday was no exception.

well ive only been there once. Mirillo on friday night. Whoo, whoo, whoo, thats all you herd roaring through the system. No Highs, no mids, maybe he just wasnt working the EQ, who knows. You couldnt hear any other part of a track except for the bass. Ill go again sometime for another DJ, see how they sound.

  2. I think this all boils down to THE WORST SOUND SYSTEM in a club!!!

I want a crisp and clean sounding system to hear every aspect of a track. That "whoo, whoo, whoo" of muffled bass just ruined every track. It was either the system in the club or Mirillo not working the EQ's right.

  3. Ok, so I know DT started to chit-chat on the mic back at Vinyl when he felt he needed to educate the new kids or something. Personally, I was like 'wtf?! shut up and let us enjoy the music!' ; and so were most of my friends.

Apparently Morillo's also doing this, but his thing is apparently to announce phases in his set ...

    So:

    1. Is there any precedence to this annoying art of 'the dj who needs to talk on the mic' or is DT the guilty trend setter?

    2. Does any other DJ do that so I can avoid it next time I go out?

    3. This shit has to stop!

yeah whats the deal with the phases??? I know KTU has been doing the "phases" for awhile on there sat. night dance party they have. I just dont see how we need that inside a club.

Only person i really enjoy hearing on the mic before there set is Frankie Bones. Other then that i dont need to hear a dj speak throughout his set. That shit P.Diddy was doing was ok, different, but did get anoying after awhile. I dont need to hear him say his name 30 times. The night is not about him, he wants to pull that shit, go back to producing hip hop. Im telling Suge Knight

  4. There is a difference and i think these videos show them.

    HOUSE DANCING:

    GUIDO DANCING:

hahahahaha dude this shit is out of control, where the fuck did u find this?? hahahah

Reminds me of this dude i saw at crobar, doing what some of us call the "Meat Sauce" then to top it off he rips off his shirt, hahaha

I mean im no Justin Timberlake but that shit is just plain garbage!

  5. hi kate

    I'm Michael :)

tell us about yourself...what kind of music you in to? where are you from? single? how did you find us? got any pics to post?

hahahah....... single? he asks, lol. Although that was your first thought i see you played it off well and asked that question 3rd, lol.

But hey kate im Brian. Now what all of us new members do when we sign up is post up a pic in our underwear. We all feel its a way to get to know each other better. Welcome to the board

  6. i think when your a straight guy and your talking to a gay guy the conversation is different. Yes your talking to another guy but you also have to have the convo relate to them as well. So instead of talking about football and how many touchdowns Tiki Barber scored this past week. You instead might talk about how good his ass looks in his uniform or wonder how much fun it would be to play center.

  7. i had a conversation with Adam X about 5 years ago at limelight. He basically said production is key nowadays. If you want to blow up as a dj you have to make your own tracks, bottom line. Being a new york city pioneer of techno Adam said it was easier to just become a dj back when he started. Becuase basically no one else was doing it ya know. But now with everyone and their mother wanting or thinking they're a dj the bar needs to be set higher.

I do find that great producers arent really good djs. That doesnt stand for all, but some i have seen or herd.

  8. The rave in the cave was sooo awesome. I was there too. Frankie Bones thought he was batman that night lol. Nigel Richards and T-1000 were great as usual as was the vibe. Unfortunally some dumbass punks set someones house on fire that morning and a few morons went spelunking and fell in a hole and had to be rescued. All in all a night i'll never forget.

I was goin to raves from 95-02. That by far was one of the most memoriable experiences. That was a true dirty, grimy, rave, hahaha. My pants were all dirty and soaked up to my knees. Ill never forget that party and the one at Liberty Science center. Those 2 parties are once in a lifetime.
