APT camxmascontinues their tradition of welcoming in the best DJs when they bring in DJ Cam for a special Christmas Eve party on Wednesday, 12.24.08. The French DJ & producer is one of the most innovative around fusing jazz and hip-hop together. Underground Vibes, his debut record that was released more than a decade ago was one of the first jazz heavy production albums and Mad Blunted Jazz has become an instant classic for any chill-out session. When not in France, Los Angeles is his second home so this is a rare chance to catch one of the best around in a great setting. Best of all, the party goes all night with no cover. Doors open at 10:00 PM.
  3. Yeah, it should be cool. Studio B is NY's best venue in my opinion...too bad it's not closer to downtown.
  4. Check it out yall...from the same people that brought you last month's RUB Warehouse Party, Flosstradamus @ Studio B etc etc.... Saturday February 3 DJ Z-Trip At Studio B // 259 Banker St. with The Bangers Howie Doo and a special Live Performance by Plastic Little Doors 10pm Jack and Coke Zero Open Bar 10-11 $12 advanced//$15 day of show Advance tickets at ticketweb.com and Soundfix on Bedford and N11th On Saturday, February 3rd, DJ Z-Trip takes over the decks at Brooklyn’s Studio B for his first NY Show in 2 years, with a mix of the hip hop and rock cuts that he’s now famous for. Never one for genre exclusive sets, Z-Trip first made headlines as a pioneer of the mash up movement with his release Uneasy Listening. The album became an underground classic, stirring up the turntablism scene by mixing up artists from both sides of the spectrum in a style that had previously never before been done. Now playing festivals worldwide, headlining at Coachella, Bonaroo and Good Vibrations in Australia, Z-Trip makes a rare stop in New York, playing alongside Brooklyn DJ favorites The Bangers and upcoming Philly rappers Plastic Little. Between the three artists, all known for breaking boundaries, Studio B will turn into a melting pot of sweating, dancing people from all over the five boughs. Don’t miss it.

Dwell Dell Soundsystem Feat Richard Dorfmeister, Rupert Huber, MC Earl Zinger, Ras MC T-weed & visuals by Fritz Fitzke also featuring Richard Dorfmeister DJ Set Irving Plaza 17 Irving Place Doors 8pm Show 9:30 $30 in advance $35 day of show Show will sell out! Get your tickets early: http://www.rondelsenerpresents.com/detail.html?eventID=215341 Fresh on the heels of their May release, J.A.C., Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber are preparing for their most ambitious tour yet. Having produced official remixes for Madonna, Gregory Isaacs and Bone Thugs N Harmony amongst others, Richard Dorfmeister is a world famous DJ who needs little introduction. His work with Peter Kruder established him as one of the most sought after remix producers around, and his DJ game is similarly respected. On the melody side, Rupert Huber is an accomplished classical pianist and composer who has received acclaim both for his scoring work and for his role as one half of Tosca. Tosca's live show fuses the talents of the two men, with Richard on the turntables and Rupert on piano, adding an MC to hype the crowd and live vocalists/frequent collaborators Rob Gallagher (aka Earl Zinger) of Two Banks of Four and Galliano fame, and Tweed from Rockers Hi-Fi. Fritz Fitzke, the final member of the live band, is the visual effects wizard who will work with several projectors for this tour, and whose breathtaking light show perfectly complements the band. While the music encompasses many different styles and flavors: uptempo or down, rocking or smooth, this is a full night of Tosca, and the light show completes the experience. If the typical DJ set is meat and potatoes, then this is a five-course meal with an abundance of flavors that will satisfy Tosca's hungry fan base. Drawing the ingredients for the night from an entire career of sundry and mouthwatering releases, this evening with Tosca has been in development for the past 10 years. The unveiling is now. Equal parts soothing sounds and blissful melodies with a subtle flavor of sophistication and a dash of dancefloor heat, Tosca's live show is the kind of unique experience that will stay with you long after the evening is complete. This is Tosca's first North American live performance. Although the artists' individual shows are legendary, this tour is a celebration of a phenomenal career. Expect to be impressed, moved and inspired. Enjoy.
